Well that's more than clear.

Artpop and Swine are the only songs I love from the new songs. Sex Dreams is a failed commercial attempt, and the trap song doesn't work for me. I Wanna Be With You is vague...

The album is UTTER perfection. It's so well composed, arranged, and organised. Each song leads PERFECTLY to the following one, giving it infinite replay value. The rhymes, in terms of songwriting are PERFECT. The lyrics are blunt as hell, and AMAZING. the album has this trashy hi fi noisy vibe, it's delicious. It's perfect, really. Favorites? Boys don't Cry, Rabbit Hole, Controversy, Saturday Night, Watching You and Trouble. The singles choice is PERFECT. As long as the next singles are boys don't cry and rabbit hole, the album is guaranteed success.

The album leaked via its' official stream <3 I can't. This is one of my favorite things in the world

Hmmmmmm.... I LOVE this girl, but I'm feeling all the songs just TOO simmilar. I don't want a whole album of the same shit
-
I hate what she did to the song... Is she keen on flopping worst than ever....?

It was intended to leak 3 days ago, and 5 days ago a leak happened but everything was deleted. Like real fast. I wonder if anyone got to download the stuff...

The album leaks within a few hours.

Bob Leone talks about Lana, Gaga & "So Legit"

I remember frequenting GGD and seeing those demo tapes on auction, and being at a couple of hours taken off... It's just so scary how we all get to see the true side of Lady GaGa after all this time of the "queen of anti bullying" bullshit. It's so dark... -
Yeah, finally we're getting the official announcement.

I like her a lot. She caught my attention since day 1. She also made a really good mixtape a while back. I have lots of faith in her. But we'll see! BTW: I HATE that she looks like Taylor Swift blended with Cassie from Skins (?) And the actual blonde looks ugly on her... I love her as a fierce brunette.

My review: Halcyon Days: 6,50/10. I'm glad she re-released the whole thing, but it was too early, and the songs released in Halcyon Days, though some of them are really good, they feel completely apart from Halcyon. I see no relationship whatsoever. For me, Halcyon is resumed in Dead in the Water, Joy, Halcyon, Anything Could Happen and I Know you Care in terms of thematics, and Halcyon Days just looks like a failed commercial intent to make the album float above. 1) Burn 7/10: Catchy, cool, but repetitive, with a quite awkward chorus. It's the commercial boom of the re-release so I'm not really able to judge it, since it's made for commercial purposes entirely. 2) Goodness Gracious 9,50/10: Fascinating. I love this of Ellie. She's this acoustic soul through channels of electronic arrangements, and that's what makes her so unique. Wish I Stayed is what charmed me from her from the start, and this is like the 2.0 version sonically. I love it. 3) You My Everything 10/10: The best song off of the record, and probably one of her best ones too. I just hate she didn't release the Skins Version which sounded much more polished (I actually feel this as a demo of the skins version). Probably she did this to have the OST and the album sold. 4) Hearts Without Chains 8/10: The lyrics are amazing. But I'm not really feeling the song. Sonically it needs a little last push. But it's one of the ones I love. 5) Stay Awake – Ellie Goulding & Madeon 9/10: This was priorly released as a bonus track to Halcyon, so I don't understand this. It sounds really good, single material. 6) Got It Under Control 4/10: I'm not feeling this song at all. 7) Flashlight – Ellie Goulding & DJ Fresh 3/10: Again, I just can't understand the inclusion of this song. It feels overdone. An album filler. 8) How Long Will I Love You 7/10: The lyrics are so cute, but this feels as a totally stranged track. It doesn't belong to Halcyon soundwave style at ALL. I love it, but I always feel like she just throwed it in. 9) Tessellate [Alt-J cover] 10/10: Sexy, catchy, innovative, her own version is SO distinctive from Alt-J, yet it sounds even better than the original. I'd LOVE a whole album of this style. 10) Midas Touch – Ellie Goulding x BURNS 10/10: This song is GENIOUS. Just GENIOUS. The lyrics, the sexyness in the instruments, the originality. It feels like nothing out there sounds like this. I'm feeling Ellie in these kinds of tracks... I wish I loved halcyon days more, since Halcyon is one of my most played albums. I hope her third album is just the best thing ever.

Well, I actually think Brumalia was his greatest creation ever. And I don't know why there's all this hate towards Lupercalia (which, I even read some people's opinions towards it, they prefer "Patrick Wolf being sad because he makes better songs". And that hurt me). Lupercalia has Slow Motion, Time of My Life, The Days, The Falcons, The Future, William... Those all are amazing songs. In fact, the only record I don't skip ONE song is Lupercalia.

I saw like 5 people scrobble some tracks, but I think they just have the 1 minute previews, which aren't even for every track!

Darling are you Gonna Leave me + Wasting My Young Years. It totally deserves the album to inherit its' title. I need this album so hard.
-
I remember seeing an interview in which she said she intended just to be a songwriter, and that she thinks she sings horribly. Eventually she found no singer to work with and that's why she did her own music.

The title of this thread, I just can't. I actually think she likes them like that. All backstreet-ish. She must be one of those hybristophiles who have this fantasy of getting raped -
Dark Paradise! Every Man Gets his Wish vs Hawaiian Tropic

My favorite songs are The Love Club, Swinging Party, MDM & Bravado. I love Royals and Tennis Court, but I think they are the most forgettable ones.
-
You're a heavenly gorgeousness <3

MDM is just GENIUS. I'd PAY Lorde to have a whole album of that kind of songs. Though what I most love so far is her eccentric sample style. The beginning of Ribs is just... I don't know. Trippy <3

I guess we'd all love a more surf noir reggae M.I.A. like in It Takes a Muscle or Caps Lock. But you know, songs like $20 and XR-2 are unable to be made as good as she makes them by anyone else. NO ONE handles the way M.I.A. handles it. I so hope she could still be with Diplo... Their stuff was just... UGH. <3 Yet the song I'm most hyped for is "Come Walk With Me". And I hate myself for doing so because it sounds as the most poppy mainstream son we heard so far, but it's so addictive!
