this show is my everything

just saw the film last night in theaters and it blew me away. it was my first korine film, so i'd be interested to hear how people with more knowledge of him would rank it within his body of work, but i will be dissecting it for a long time. i don't want to say too much for the sake of not spoiling, but i think that it says a lot of different things but it all boils down to an important statement about youth culture/desensitization/gen-y (that's what we are right?) the cinematography and soundtrack were brilliant imo, franco was fab and vanessa hudgens was that b*tch. and having seen it, ita w tpd that the marketingwas genius. and the casting for that matter. the only way i think it could've been more iconic is if ashley tisdale was cast in place of benson. her and bbv, the idea of it slays me.

hmm, i'm a little confused by that because according to ppl at her london show before the tour officially started she said you're not the one was to be the first single released "soon" with the album to follow. it seems futile to release anything from ghost as a single at this point, and it was my understanding that eie is an outlier from how the album will sound - iirc it's going to be half sad dream type tracks and half rockier stuff like ynto and the new songs she's been doing at her shows. i hope it's true that the album is august and a single will be sooner, bc i don't think she can afford to wait that long for a new single

i know that for a lot of people she is probably nothing new to bring to the table, but i only discovered her music a few months ago and after falling in love with her album decided to buy a ticket to see her concert here tomorrow night <3 she kinda reminds me of sade mixed with something else, idk what. she seems like a qt person as well. any other fans? my fave track rn from "devotion":

omg ofc you would be a sky fan too, TPD, what kind of icon i read last night that she told a fan at her last show that the single is not being released until august now. could be incorrect, kind of hoping it is, i feel like her label is sleeping on the same momentum they did when one was doing well a few years ago. also if there's any artist i possibly can get into more in depth discussions about than lana it's sky, so if anyone ever wants to bounce thoughts around by all means hehe

as much as i was hoping it would be something we hadn't heard previously in any capacity, i'm so excited for this and am glad they used the same portion in the trailer that she teased a while ago. this explains why that latter clip pretty much was wiped from the internet. also semi-ot but i am so excited about that florence track and new music from the xx <3

i've seen the pics before definitely, but i am curious as to whether any of her songs that she posted on myspace/that have leaked are officially "lizzy grant and the phenomena" tracks or if that's just random assignment by people with the files. the only track of mine that had that tag when i dled it was disco but i've never really read anything concrete.
