Sunday was amazing. I woke up at like 6am and got a train to Dublin checked into my hotel and headed straight to Vicar Street. Luckly I wasn't alone as when I arrived there was 6 other fans waiting. I got my number which was number 7. I then awkwardly sat on the ground and made friends with the people around me. We were like a team because we held each others spots and had a laugh. At around five or half five all of a sudden I see a silver mini van pull into the back of the venue and then the gates closed. I knew straight away it was her because it was the first car to pull in to the back of the venue and there is only room for one car at the back of the venue so we ran and sure enough it was Lana and she got out of the car and came straight over the the fans. She signed autographs and took pictures behind a tiny gap in the gate (see picture below). It was awkward I slided my Paradise Boxset through the gap and she grabbed it and signed it we were so so happy and so pumped for the concert. We ran back to the line still had our spots of course and we were all showing off our signed stuff and pictures and basically freaking out. I didn't have time to get a picture because people began pushing but I was happy because I knew I had a shot to properly meet her because I would be front row. At around six security came out to the door and behind them was Lanas dad and a worker at Vicar Street each had a bag full of merchandise. Lana's dad said that she was so happy that everyone was here so early and that she had gifts of us. Then the pushing began but luckly he handed me another Paradise Boxset which was amazing! He handed out one lyric book which I really wanted but didn't get Also handed out was The Great Gatsby book, Walt Whitman books and Lolita book. He posed for pictures and went back inside. We were even more pumped if that was even possible, everyone I was with got something so we were all over the moon. Doors opened at seven. The security didn't even check my bag we ran in even though security told us not to haha I lost the people I was with but I got the the front row at the right of the stage. Waited until eight and then Kassidy started for the first song Barrie's mic wasn't really working it was odd but they were brilliant. Just before the last song Barrie started singing Born To Die and everyone went nuts it was great. Then nine came and she came on stage my jaw dropped she looks way way way more beautiful in person. She went straight out near the crowd and someone threw there panties at her she picked them up and twirled them around her finger she started laughing. She then went down to the left of the stage but she was kinda grabbed by fans there and she didn't go down the whole way. She came back up and told us that she should have had this recorded because the venue was small and would be great for it. After about four songs she went over to the side of the stage and got more books and brought them down and gave them to the left side of the stage. She then carried on singing. The whole crowd were singing the lyrics with her on every song. Then this happened

She started to cry because the crowd screamed for about 5 minutes she was so overwhelmed it was amazing. Then last song National Anthem she ended it and walked straight down to the right and started taking pictures when she got to me she thanked me for coming and I asked her for a picture and she said sure and then I took and she held my hand and I said thank you so much and she smiled then she moved on I was fucking shaking. I got squashed against the barrier but it was worth it ( I still feel black and blue). Then yesterday I wanted to get my tour book signed as well as well my Great Gatsby CD and I arrived at Vicar Street at like half four and waited for her to arrive and yet again I met her and she signed my stuff. It was bad though because the paparazzi started pushing people and Lana was getting mad at them.

I will add pictures of the concert later maybe.

    Long post I know!

So me and my best friend Leah have been obsessing Lana for over a good year, we've been waiting for the chance to see her live for ages but we've never had the luck or chance. Until the tour was announced, we got two standing tickets as soon as they were available back in November for the first London show and we vowed back then that we would be first in line.

And so on May 19th, we set off at 2am for the Hammersmith Apollo, I live fairly close so it wasn't a hard journey. We arrived, first in line as we expected and got ready for the long wait. By the time it reached 6pm and people were starting to get ready to move (doors opened at 7pm) we were knackered but excited. The door staff had already told us that knew how long we'd been there and told us a treat was on the way.

About 20 minutes later Rob and a woman who I presume to be Lana's assistant came out with about 20 signed Paradise - Special Editions and 1 lyric booklet. Leah managed to grab the lyric booklet and I got a copy of the special edition. We were so grateful and nearly sobbed there and then.

Then doors open and panic and chaos happens, people running and shoving to get to the front. Luckily we managed a front row position slightly to the right but a perfect view.

Kassidy came on, did their thing which I have to say I enjoyed a lot more than I thought I would. At the end of their set Barrie threw his guitar pick onto the front of the stage and I managed to get one of the security to give it to me. I wonder if he washed his hands before he touched it..

Then it was time for Lana! We screamed like absolute mentalists, which you'll be able to hear in the videos I post below. She was so so so good, words can't describe, we were shocked by her beauty, couldn't keep our eyes off her.

Favourites during the show were probably Ride, Born To Die, Summertime Sadness, Young & Beautiful, National Anthem, Video Games and Without You.

Ride, SS, Y&B and Without You had me crying, apparently I was on the big screen at one point..

And then during Video Games, something amazing happened. We decided to hold up our "Can We Have A Photo Please? <3" sign to see if we could get Lana's attention and we did! She saw it and winked at us!

You can see the wink here in this guy's video at 2:59 -

Then during National Anthem she came down as usual, interacted with the crowd and then finally got to us.

The conversation was something like this:

Us: Can we have a photo please?!
    Lana: Sure!
Us: Can someone else take it..?
    Lana: I'll take it!
*Lana takes phone, stands next to us and takes 3 selfies.*
Us: Thank you so much! We love you! We've been here since 2am waiting!
Lana: I know! I heard about you guys, thank you so much! I love you! *Hugs and kisses us.*
Us: Thank you! And thank you for the signed stuff earlier!
Lana: Oh you got them! Good! I'm glad!

And then she went, to the next person. We just stood there in absolute shock, not knowing what to do. But it happened! We finally did it after all that waiting!

  6. DyingLizzy liked a post in a topic by Wryta Thinkpiece in indianlovecall's Fantasy Album Art

Most of my Photo Manipulation projects usually revolve around line art, 3D/video game renders and a little bit of typography and textures, but not much else. I use a lot of it for decorating my posts for the characters I play in role play forums.

Be that as it may, I needed to spice things up and start making use of all the other ways to recreate and renovate art and photos.

I've done album art in previous years <del>but we're never going to talk about any of those. Ever</del>

So in the midst of scrapping the old album covers for my LDR collection, I've been working on new ones, and this topic will serve as a showcase for my fantasy album art and/or albums for Lana Del Rey.

I will post WIPs in each album's "spoiler," along with the original copies of any of the photos used. This is how I keep track of how much progress I'm making, where I've improved and where I can use improvement on.

But this isn't just for me to keep my album art organized; I can talk about how I've improved from older projects I've done and how horrible they were, but I remain my hardest critic, and I can spend more time nagging myself for what I think I'm doing wrong than I spend just figuring out a compromise.

That's why I love hearing feedback from people, that's why I want feedback from all of you! Whether PhoMa's your element or you just have an eye for art, or even if you just have any suggestions/critiques, I want to hear it!

I am more of a writer, always have been, so when I take the time to work on other arts (especially PhoMa,) it means so much to me when I'm still trying to get my bearings and people are giving genuine feedback with the intent to help me and encourage me. And as far as that goes, I already got a lot of love and helpful tips already from all of you, and I appreciate it so much.

And, of course, since the album art is up here, any and all of it is for you guys, as well. I'll be putting track lists up for any of the LDR albums that are of her unreleased demos/leaks/etc. The songs keep their normal title, but what's put after them will not always be "acoustic," "demo," "live," you get the point. I mostly do it just because too many "lives" and "demos" gets confusing for me, but I'll obviously put up what each one really is. Besides, it's not mandatory to follow the track lists since I didn't make CD booklets (I'll probably work on something like that when the actual album art for Lana is complete, all depends.)

BUT ENOUGH ABOUT THAT.

Still a little nervous, but...
make our body parts commit a crime
lets just fuck until I get crazy and I know why
come and fuck me on the wild side
let me cum in pouring rain
and i'll scream LETS GET INSANE
    chose your words
    this is my first time
cause you and I we were made to fuck
pregnant and now I am fucked

For those who don't know who she is - she was just convicted in the murder of her former boyfriend Travis Alexander. The murder took place in June of 2008, but her trial began in January of this year - lasting all the way up until earlier this month. Minutes after her conviction she conducted an interview with Fox News in which she stated that she wanted the death penalty, since death was the "ultimate freedom." But more recently she made pleads for life. The jury is currently hung on whether to give her life or death. Throughout her trial and interrogations by police, she told many lies about what really happened the day of his murder, her stories constantly changing.

Before getting her mugshot, she asked the arresting officer to 'primp up.'

    A few questions:

Is Lana's birthday in '85 or '86? I've seen both appear ways. On her official Wikipedia and her fanpages, it says 1986, but on the Kent School Wikipedia of notable alumni, it states that she's in the Class of 2003. Usually when you graduate from high school, you're around 18, so unless Lana graduated a year early... Who do you guys think K is and the whole K thing? From what I think, I think that since Sirens came out around 2005 and Lana met K after Kent and returning back home to Lake Placid, which places us around 2003-2004. I think Sirens is mostly centered around K. (For K is kind of the thing that tips us off the most). From For K, it says that there was a drive-by shooting, which I think was started by K. I don't exactly think that K is the one that's taking the drugs, as drugs is often referenced a lot in songs by our queen, Lana. I think that K was older than Lana and I think the idea of Lolita, as Lolita is also a reoccurring theme in her songs, and the idea of being in love with an older guy kind of thrilled Lana and she fell in love with K. I used to think K was a serial killer, but now that idea has turned into K being a drug dealer and the whole drive-by thing. I think the one doing the drugs in Lana songs is Jimmy Gnecco. I might be wrong, but someone was talking about Lana and Jimmy meeting in rehab as they both had drug addictions or something and they lived together in the trailer park? Don't take me seriously on this one. I'm kind of certain 'Yayo' is about Jimmy. Do you guys think Lana eloped? Like in Yayo, it mentions that 'It only takes two hours to Nevada' and '50s babydoll dress for my I do's.' Vegas is notorious for people eloping, ect. And if you guys think that Lana has eloped, who do you think it was with? When did Lana go to Alabama? I always found it kind of weird that she chose Alabama as a place to go. I kind of think that Raise Me Up (Mississippi South) is about her time in the South, because one, the title of the song, and two, the song talks about voodoo and the South is kind of known for voodoo. I know on her Sparkle Jump Rope Queen MySpace, around 2008 was when she was in Alabama. Anyone think of why she would be in Alabama? It's been floating around LanaBoards for a while that Lana had a relationship with her English teacher during her time at Kent, Mr. Campbell. I'm pretty sure Paris is about Mr. Campbell as the line "you're sitting in your office" and that kind of tips us off. Do you guys think that Teenage Wasteland (Prom Song Gone Wrong) is also about Mr. Campbell? On Sparkle Jump Rope Queen's MySpace profile, it mentions that she's "been married four times in five different countries." It's always sounded kind of weird and I never really believed it, but in National Anthem, she mentions, "Queen of Saigon" in the bridge, and in Brite Lites, she says, "I'm going back to Aberdeen." I've seen in interviews Lana talking about going to Scotland and it's where most of her friends are. So do you guys think she was in Vietnam as well? I know she's referenced "Queen of Coney Island" before and it's because she loves Coney Island so I think that she was there... hmm... Does anyone know anything on Lana's grandmother, Madeleine? Ever since I heard Gramma, I've been interested in her and Lana must've loved her to the point where she got her initial tattooed to her. You guys don't have to agree with any of these. You guys can add onto the discussion and I wanna know what you guys think because these are interesting points about Lana that I want to hear what you guys think of these.

So once we'd met Lana, we ran back to our spot in the queue, shaking and early in tears. We decided to go back not only because we needed to make sure our spot was safe, but Lana was still meeting fans and we'd had our turn! Once we got into the venue, WE GOT THE BARRIER!

So I've never had the barrier at a concert before, which is why it's a big deal, but I felt so much more calm about seeing Lana now that we'd met her, and once Kassidy had performed and Cola started, she walked down the front and she held my friends hand for a second or two. We kept on getting completely crushed, and the people behind me in the GA were absolutely mental (literally jumping on my back and shoulders and clawing at Lana whenever she was anywhere near us) but it was so worth it. Regardless of meeting Lana and being at the barrier (although it definitely makes the experience better), the show is phenomenal. If you compare her vocals of last night to that SNL performance (or any earlier performance where her vocals aren't 100%), it's almost like she's a different singer. I don't recall hearing one single flaw through the whole night.

I'm almost certain that each time she looked over at where we were and smiled, she was making eye contact with me, because when she came round at national anthem at the end, she smiled really enthusiastically and said 'Hi!' to me, right into my eyes (still not got over that yet) and I asked for a picture and she got next to me and her cheek was pressed right against mine, and I don't know if it was a curse or a blessing that my camera was being slow because she stayed next to me for a few seconds until my camera finally took the picture. Luckily, this photo is a lot nicer than the hot mess taken earlier! Although Lana looks amazing in both, I'm happier with my barrier picture.

I am so so lucky! I would recommend you go to the tour if you have the chance, if not for the chance of meeting Lana then just because it's an amazing show. The vocals are on point, the band is AMAZING (I spoke to one of the guys in the band after the show and he said that they had worked really really hard for months and months) and therefore even just the instrumentals are perfect too. I would've met Lana after the show again but there were loads and loads of people, so I would've just had a glimpse of her, and I think I'm lucky enough to have had 2 encounters anyway. I hope you enjoy my pics! Please ask if you want to use any or want me to upload more, but here are my favourites. (I did get a beautiful derp)

So we got to the venue around 1pm so we'd have a good place (hopefully near the barrier), but the queue was really small and we managed to get into the priority queue which was fabulous! We knew Lana would be arriving at the venue at some point so another girl and myself waited around the stage doors while our friends held our spot in the queue. We kept meeting the members of Kassidy (except Barrie) and other random tech guys/security people which we kept asking about Lana's arrival. We saw some fairly interesting stuff:

After waiting in the wind and rain and hail and occasional sunshine for 3 hours, a random guy told us to wait by the stage doors further down and that she'd be here in a few minutes. I found out that he was a 'fan' (aka autograph collector who sells her signatures for money) and so has met her several times. Finally, she arrived! She saw my flower crown and sort of gasped and smiled and I was about to take a picture but my stupid camera wasn't working so she went and signed some people's things, and took her time! Honestly, she was so so genuine and lovely.

She went inside (but only to put down her handbag) and a few more people had gathered round (fans + paps) and some annoying couple had pushed in front of me ('Lana please have a photo we need to drive home to London Lana Lana...') so after she had seen to them, another girl who had just had Lana's name tattooed on her boob, she went inside again and was about 2 minutes. She came back out with her bodyguards and they each were holding about 5 copies of the limited edition Paradise boxset (that sold out!) and they had all been signed by Lana. Everyone was holding their hands out for one, and Lana had one copy left and looked up at me and put it in my hands, then went back to signing things. Alas, some other girl had her hand on my limited signed Paradise and snatched it out my hand! Then had the nerve to stand directly in front of me (I probably would've been next to have a photo with Lana) and she got her photo. It would have made me angrier, but Lana was right in front of me and I kept blurting out things like 'you're so pretty!' 'you're perfect!' and she had this big gorgeous smile the whole time, and she was like 'I'm not!'. Her security people kept saying no to everyone who said 'can I have a picture please Lana?' but she replied 'stop telling me just give me 2 more minutes' and Lana carried on signing away. Anyway, after these other basic hoes who hadn't been waiting for 3 hours had got their pictures, I FINALLY got a picture with Lana and my friend, and I look like a mess but she is adorable.

I'm going to have to make a separate post about the actual show lmao, but I forgot to mention she kissed my cheek!
