  1. yeah but the fact that she's talking about her Lizzy days shows there would have been an opportunity for a lyrical masterpiece, and in my opinion, Venice Bitch is far, far from that. so i hoped it'd be better than what it seems to be for white dress. we can't judge without knowing the lyrics, but i got disappointed when i learned they were akin to those of venice bitch. doesn't mean they're gonna be bad though
  2. the thing i'm scared of is that the lyrics of white dress were described (by Eclipse i think? but i might be wrong) as not that good
  3. manifesting a chemtrails world tour with a majority of songs from either chemtrails or aka
  4. true, I forgot about BPBP! it was heavily reworked for LFL though, contrary to yosemite (or even tnbar). for old money i wouldn't put it in the same category though, it's miles away from Methamphetamines in terms of lyrics, production, atmosphere...
  5. the way I'd rather have the political LFL outtakes on LDR8 than new songs inspired by QTFC because somehow her political views were cooler in 2017 than they seem to be now by the way it seems that we're escaping qftc-inspired tracks on chemtrails... none of the songs seem to be about it, which is consistent with the fact that the songs were all recorded before qftc (except for not all who wander are lost, maybe) though
  6. sometimes i think that the fact that tnbar and yosemite are the two only older songs she's ever put on album (yayo aside) is testament to her actually taking our wishes into consideration... those two songs probably feel special to her but she also knows how bad we wanted yosemite, given the number of times fans asked her about it, etc. i sometimes wonder if she's had regrets scrapping several songs from lfl anyways girlies get ready for the political outtakes on LDR8
  7. lust for life had 16 tracks but when it was released, 5 had been released already, 3 (cherry, white mustang, change) had been heavily teased (with several snippets), so that left us with 8 songs that were fresh, BUT we had had 30-second snippets of those 8 tracks too nfr had 14 tracks but when it was released 6 had been released already, 1 had leaked, 4 (cinnamon girl, hiab, how to disappear, nfr) had been heavily teased, so that left us THREE songs that were fresh (although 2 of them had been teased on her instagram, and we had had 30-second snippets of each too) in the end, chemtrails has 11 tracks, but only 2 of them have been released and 2 of them performed live, so 7 tracks are still fresh (I'm including tulsa jesus freak because the snippet was short) AND we haven't heard the 8-second snippets this time around conclusion: this album is going to be the one with the most unheard material since honeymoon
  8. I think Honeymouns had confirmed in their masterpost that it was just an instrumental but I might be wrong, or he might ignore the existence of a version with vocals
  9. wasn't Ave Maria confirmed to be only the instrumental we got? i can't wait for the 4 songs we've heard nothing from in a row they're going to murder me
  10. maybe she thinks white dress is too stripped down, intimate and beautiful to be a single imagine releasing a song where you're journaling and showing that much of yourself as a single now i know we're all disappointed we're not getting dealer but imagine if we weren't getting white dress for those reasons, given the way it was teased
  11. true, but i've always felt white mustang had a special status in the LFL era, it truly embodied something... because of how it was heavily teased with all those videos, because it was about her 2017 relationship, because it sounded like a typical song of hers in the midst of experimental songs, because of the messiness of the clip that was symbolic for that of the era, and it also feels like a turning point in the tracklist to me. i don't think breaking up slowly is special, although i like it a lot already
  12. well as much as i'd be interested in hearing a "screamer", i'm not sure the fact that she screams makes it a good song... just because she screams, we're all expecting a rock/metal-inspired production, but that might be extremely delusional. i like the title and i like that she made it with zach dawes, but i think people are going to be disappointed when they hear it, because contrary to yosemite, she hasn't even said she LIKED the song, let alone it was her favorite on the record... and I know her own taste is sometimes debatable, but still. the only thing we know about its sound is that she screams, but so does she in tired of singing the blues, and I don't think tired of singing the blues would have that much hype around it and although my perception of the chemtrails aesthetics back in 2020 included Dealer (one of the only songs we knew about), because i associated it with her look for the Interview magazine, because I associated it with still screaming, meeting with dealers and being wild in the midst of such a bourgeois, 35-year-old atmosphere, but I truly understand why she didn't put it in there, and I have hope it will either leak or be on her next album
  13. breaking up slowly is one of those songs for which the hate is self-generating. some people hate it, then the others hate it, taking the hate to new extremes as if it were a really bad song. but i wouldn't be surprised if the current phenomenon of rehabilitation of lmlylaw happened with breaking up slowly. if you put the hate you saw on lanaboards aside, do you truly think the melody for breaking up slowly is bad?
  14. I'd say one of the mysterious tracks in the middle of it such as dark but just a game or not all who wander are lost are going to unexpectedly stand out in a general consensus
  15. the same negative degrading off-topic comparisons all the time if there's nothing to talk about there's nothing to talk about
  16. it's literally impossible for the release date to change, she announced it a month and a half ago, everything is official and has been for a long time now, and to be honest i get the feeling she wants to get the whole thing over with. remember how annoyed she was when she couldn't release it in November-December. do we truly think she could push it again because of justin bieber of all people
  17. the reason why i want to wait until March 19 to listen to white dress (though it's not like she's giving us much of a choice at the moment) is because i feel like it's going to be a strong track, that hits deep, almost shocking. and i think the album is meant to be discovered with that initial shock as an introduction
  18. that's not what it's about though. what it's about is respect towards others, that is to say not putting that contemptful "you guys are still here?" gif in the midst of such confusion and after playing with us that much, implying it would come, not clarifying anything when it became unlikely it would. this delay situation is clearly her team's fault, or ours for believing stuff without confirmation, it isn't Eclipse's fault. but please don't act like this is about taking out anger from it on Eclipse. it's nice and enjoyable to have some info, even if it's just acronyms, because yes they have been some fun, and it's basically the only info we've been getting given the silence on Lana's part, but that information-giving power relationship obviously gives the giving person the upper hand on the people that are on the receiving end, and it must be pointed out when that leads to disrespectful behavior. i'm probably gonna get shit for this (once more) but yeah
  19. on the other hand i gotta say i kinda understand her lack of interest towards this album. on a personal level, i honestly think it's going to be good, if not very good, but maybe it's going to be slightly more uneventful than, say, born to die or ultraviolence. what i mean is i don't think it's going to stand out as much in her discography, were it only because of its length and stripped-down sound. and knowing she made most of the record in 2019, and she wanted to put it out six months ago already, i guess she's grown tired of it. imagine having to promote an album that's already a year old without any addition from after february 2020
  20. she managed to make it sound like this album was both a deep body of work that came to be a self-standing enemy she's fighting against AND some random indifferent 10-track-long thing she threw together quickly and doesn't seem to care about, at the same time
  21. even though i like the bridges LMLYLWAW and COCC have, because i think they add a lot to the atmosphere of the songs, I must say I hope the other songs don't have that kind of bridge, simply because it has literally the same chords, or even the same melody (for COCC) as the rest of the song (either the chorus or the verses). and as much as i like those bridges, i'd rather have a different melody for that of the other songs, because at the end of the day it amounts to 3 melodies (verse - chorus - bridge) for a song, when lmlylaw and chemtrails only have two (verse - chorus, although lmlylaw's bridge also has those high notes), plus the verse and the chorus have almost the same melody on those songs
