  1. you can't just pretend it's easy to have self control and to not overplay stuff etc. of course the majority of us, me included, are weak. nobody's saying 'you shouldn't listen to things before the album you're so annoying for doing so or saying you do' so yeah just let the people who want to keep things fresh for the album say it and do it?
  2. it was a 2013 song which wasn't produced by justin parker, contrary to wild one, an actual song from 2015 that got registered. but for some reason (the word wild i guess lol) it leaked under the name 'wild one' which is false
  3. the way february, although close to the release, has been the most uneventful month since like August
  4. the way someone put fake shazam links for dealer and yosemite and got everyone excited for nothing but 1 hour later yosemite WAS found on shazam
  5. how is saying it's better to have NOT listened to anything from the song before it's available in full overdramatic?? once again, i know it's way worse in CG's case than in, say, California's case, but it doesn't mean both aren't "bad" in my opinion. and that was a rehearsal video with the exact studio version as only sound so yeah basically a snippet.
  6. actually it wasn't, a black and white video with a cherry snippet was posted some time before the performance. there was a groupie love snippet, though not from her instagram, but still, and quite long if i remember correctly im just saying there were a lot of snippets before the songs (whether the singles or the others) were heard for the first time and i don't think it's great, i think it was detrimental to the experience of the album. here she hasn't done it except for that 8-second-long chemtrails snippet
  7. well I agree it was way worse with NFR but if i remember correctly, we had 2 Cherry snippets, 1 white mustang snippet, 2 summer bummer snippets, 1 groupie love snippet, 1 coachella acapella, 2-3 change snippets + roses bloom for you. that left several songs unheard, but still, it was a bit too much for me. i think that uploading only one snippet for TJF this time was the right thing to do
  8. in my opinion posting that many snippets was the worst thing she could ever do of course we were gonna overplay them we literally had a one year wait between MAC and the album
  9. of course there is, i don't think it does as much harm, I'm just saying I'd rather decide for myself what I think is the best way to listen to her music than follow what she wants people to listen to (at least, her 18.4M followers).
  10. she obviously also wanted us to listen to the 10 snippets that literally spoiled NFR though and it doesn't make it good
  11. the way this album is going to be so good... although she's doing zero promotion and the whole thing seems filled with simplicity i just get such a good feeling about it
  12. the way the fans always manifest grunge for the next album when she's never done anything near grunge
  13. wanna be vagabond poet this seems to apply to chemtrails more than to nfr though, she didn't act like that much of a poet on nfr
  14. Ultraviolence is extremely overrated. She tried to make this dark, unlistenable record happen but in the end, half of the songs aren't even remotely rock-oriented, and most of the songs aren't better than those on her other albums. The unhealthy vibe of this era absolutely doesn't get to me, although in theory, I would've loved a darker, rockier turn. It just didn't have that much depth. And the things she said or implied on social topics are way worse than what she said in 2020.
  15. i'd say the lightness of it but the presence of a beat in some parts reminds me of fuck it i love you or doin time too, and the overall chill vibe, the attitude towards the man she's talking about are kinda NFR too
  16. i've also been extremely weak in the past and i've listened to the snippets every time BUT i had waited for my physical copy of lfl to listen to it and i had resisted the temptation to listen to the early leak of nfr and i actually have the feeling it's a matter of really deciding, really wanting it and therefore telling yourself you won't do it? from the moment you believe you won't do it, it's self-fulfilling in some way, you just accept you have a different horizon of expectations and what doesn't belong to it (like white dress on the 26th) becomes indifferent there's also the fact that the more you resist the prouder of yourself you are, and the more strength to go on you have. so if you make it through the first phase of your resistance you're likely to be successful in the later phases. like a month ago i decided not to listen to the tjf / bus snippets anymore and the fact that i managed not to gives me more strength? idk if that applies to everyone but i hope that's helpful and i think waiting for the whole album is soooo worth it
  17. the way firmly deciding not to listen to anything before the album makes waiting way easier and makes you not care about or stress over whether or not she's going to screw with us once more on February 26th
