  1. I wish the sounds of her records were faithful to what she said they were in the first place. Honeymoon's jazziness, Ultraviolence's unlistenableness, LFL's folk, Shangri-La elements, or whatever, are nowhere to be found. i hope NFR's going to have those surf rock vibes because I feel like it's something everybody here would be here for, and if it turns out to be one more unkept promise it'll be a shame
  2. I don't even think we will get news in April. It's been dry for three months now, for those who don't care about the poetry at least. I mean, it would feel so weird to get actual news now. Can you imagine having the tracklist, the cover, a date? what I can picture best is this meaningless cycle endlessly repeating itself over and over
  3. once more the gays thinking it was for the album were DELUSIONAL but she really is the one to blame. I can’t stand what she’s doing anymore.
  4. Would the LFL hate slowly be reverting, like it did for Honeymoon?
  5. When the songs come out it feels so weird to find the already-heard snippets in them, like in higher quality, and not ending the way the snippet did because the song goes on...
  6. It's sad to say but listening to Cinnamon doesn't do anything to me anymore. Like I did for Cherry and White Mustang, I'm already too used to the song before it's released. And I don't consider myself the one to be blamed. Of course I could've refrained from listening to the snippets, but come on, they've been out for 5 months
  7. In September we were told we wouldn’t have the album until tHe ToP oF nExT yEaR in December we learned that we would have to wait until March 29 in February we got confirmed that the album wasn’t even finished and would therefore not be out until ?May¿ at least (remember LFL was given to Interscope mid-May 2017 so it might take 2 months from the finishing to the release) Plus it’s nice to have a Steven Klein shoot and a poetry book oUt SoOn but this isn’t actual news.
  8. The idea that ‘they’ will tell us when they have a date is wrong. What they are doing, and planning on, isn’t transparent. She hadn’t told us about May 26, nor about March 29 when they were set for release dates. And look at how we got the July 21 date, which they obviously had before she tweeted it in reaction to the turmoil. It shouldn’t be believed that they are going to update us the way they should. It’s always been more or less messy with Lana but until LFL it was bearable. This time she’s really hitting a new record
  9. I’m sorry but you can’t say that knowing the existence of a cover can make up for the fact that we don’t have a cover (plus what happened since early January? maybe she changed it, or maybe she doesn’t have one anymore), nor that knowing 6 song titles can make up for the tracklist (are they actual titles? what are the others? in which order? have they all been kept? and Cinnamon was never confirmed for NFR) but MOST IMPORTANT you can’t reasonably say that “between April and June” (which we don’t even know???) is a satisfactory answer. Truth is, we don’t know much about the record, and 80% of the info we have is 6 months old. Knowing she hasn’t finished it by now, knowing what all those sources said, knowing what she did to Lust for life, almost nothing is sure.
  10. she used to be but she abandoned them back in January and now they’re orphans
  11. I am still shocked by Ben's bad faith. "iF wE hAd A dAtE yOu wOuLd kNoW iT" yeah sure as if they were transparent about what they were doing - as if West Coast's title hadn't been revealed because of the MMITPM thing, as if LFL's release date hadn't been revealed because of the May 26th thing, as if we had been told that they were, at some point, planning on releasing NFR on March 29, or LFL on May 26.
  12. Does anyone else have a hard time believing in Lana’s happiness? I mean, to me, the perspective of her being happy was sort of perverted by the LFL era. At the beginning of it she seemed to be in such a happy place, and to have made such a positive album - but then, she started to say she wasn’t that happy and the album ended up messy as hell. Ever since, something has been off. Until Honeymoon, there was some cohesiveness to her discography (she was playing a role, but it made sense). With LFL, she was saying she was getting out of the black but at the same time she emphasized she wasn’t. She tried to play with every genre she could but in the end the record didn’t tell us much. Maybe it’s because she hasn’t been communicating much for the past year and a half (about her music nor about her life), maybe it’s because I don’t believe in this instagram baddie sort of happiness, but I don’t understand what she’s trying to do with this era. She seems to play the ‘happy’ card again but then again, she only sings about love and sadness and she seems to haven given up on the idea of singing about something that isn’t only HER.
  13. It sure has to do with her feelings but she can’t get offended by the fact that people get triggered at her using [ a pejorative word for a person + the skin color that is most subject to racism in the US ] without clarifying anything. And maybe you don’t see it but obviously a lot of people do
  14. I agree there’s no reason for not having released HIAB by now but I also think there can’t be any rationale behind doing what’s she’s been doing for months. So I guess we have to wait for her to end these dreary months of pain
  15. That's totally possible but it's been three months since she's performed them..... this is exhausting (and IMBSFBSH is actually... very weak I'd say)
  16. I haven’t read that poem but she didn’t mention it and she can’t do as if people weren’t entitled to be - at best - puzzled by her saying “shaking my ass is the only thing that’s got this black narcissist off my back”
  17. wild one definitely would be the one to me, that song is so mysterious, and it’s a Honeymoon outtake
  18. sorry for the negativity but what was Lana thinking when she used the terms “black narcissist” in Hope? did she believe that no one would care? her victim-like offended reaction to fans’ allegations of racism annoyed me so much (also reading her interview about the lyrics of this song is pretty hilarious)
  19. lmao I almost forgot she tried to sing about chemicals in the water at some point
  20. I can't understand why when she's got a record done she can't refrain from changing it. I get that she always want to keep creating music but why doesn't she do songs for the next record? Get our coins and move on? Regardless of the lack of decency it takes to make fans wait more than six months, I just don't understand why she can't RELEASE the damn thing. Plus changing it probably means scrapping tracks when the record seemed quite coherent until now.
  21. petition to start calling the record ldr6 again since it obviously is FAR from being released
  22. The strings are what makes In Your Car heavenly... it's as if she had gone back to using those instruments in a subtle way. The instrumental part encapsulates melancholy so well.
