  1. In the source code of her webstore, the date 05/08/2020 shows up as a starting date for some action, which I'm thinking is the pre-order, set for August 5, 2020. I know some of you may be thinking that 05/08/2020 could be May 8, 2020, but I also found the date 2020.07.13 in her source code, which would be year, month, date. Reverse that, and you have date, month year. Date: 5 Month: 8 Year: 2020 And this would be roughly a month before the release date. I know we've been speculating this already but I hope this offers some concrete evidence! Attached below. https://imgur.com/vkxUfJP The "HotJar Code" basically tracks activity - which would point to recording the amount of traffic her site gets when the album is made available for pre-order!
  2. I don’t think the video was old personally because she was blonde in it with lash extensions and nails that match ones that she currently has but I think you’re right about WHF being reworked! I hope there is a video for it too!!
  3. I think it couldn’t have been about him at the very earliest though, because she wrote it and talked about it before they even met. But she could’ve reworked it multiple times afterwards so that at one point it was about him in a loving way and then at another point it wasn’t!
  4. I don't think the song WHF is about Sean. She announced the title on August 30, 2019 so she already had the title track written and likely recorded at that point. She met Sean in late September 2019 in New York, so it can't be about him unless she heavily reworked it and/or merged it with Tulsa Jesus Freak.
  5. This is a HYPOTHETICAL tracklist I just thought of - it is not real and I am not claiming it to be lol. But so far I am envisioning something like this maybe? the lack of continuity between sentence case and title case are deliberate to emulate Lana. I am so excited for this record now that we may have more insight onto track titles and aesthetics! 1. Chemtrails over the Country Club 2. White Hot Forever 3. Tulsa Jesus Freak 4. Cornflower blue 5. Black-eyed Susan 6. Mid-May, midday (feat. Joan Baez) 7. Grenadine Quarantine 8. If This Is the End - I Want a Boyfriend 9. Last call- to be clean and serene 10. Let me love you like a woman I would love a cute 10-11 track record with a strong concept and feel
  6. I’m also wondering if her posting Joan Baez’s paintings means they collaborated for a song on this record, especially since she and Lana performed together in San Fran. Obviously Lana has been a huge fan of Joan for a while and Joan must return that admiration based on what she said about Lana at that show and the fact that she painted her! I would love for a collab between the two on this record.
  7. I have a strong feeling the album cover will feature her with a plaid shirt similar to the ones she’s been wearing lately, blonde of course. She must’ve shot the cover sometime between the last week of June/first week of July and now - basically when she painted her nails blue and got lash extensions and let the blonde colour neutralize. I’m either envisioning something super ranch-inspired or something super glam. Up until now, I thought it was gonna be super glam but based on the rumoured song titles, her recent activity and look, I’m seeing either a fusion between the two in the vein of something Dolly Parton/Dollywood-inspired for visuals. Country glam!
  8. I’m feeling some Johnny Cash influences based on the titles and aesthetics so far. I would say something like a folk-rock country record with some psychedelic guitars could be coming!
  9. I thought they might be poems too but they seemed so long in her voice memos for just poems so I thought they could be songs! We found about them on March 16, 2020 through her now deleted post!
  10. POSSIBLE/LIKELY SONGS AT THIS POINT: Chemtrails Over the Country Club White Hot Forever Tulsa Jesus Freak Grenadine Quarantine If This is the End - I Want a Boyfriend Let Me Love You Like a Woman Quite an eccentric list of titles!
  11. Omg is Tulsa Jesus Freak a song title? And is WHF just an album track or the title track again? So many questions! Do we think that selfie of her in the car is BTS of the album cover or a music vid for one of those songs?
  12. I agree! I could see this record having a certain delivery of narrative similar to what you said. And don’t put yourself down like that lol, I agree that her lyrics are a bit ambiguous but I think that adds to her charm
  13. I think Lana’s takes on super distinct and sometimes super straight ahead or super far-left genres are still true to her form as an artist - while I personally would love if COTCC was a country record, I know a lot of people on here wouldn’t like that but to them I would say not to worry because Lana’s version of a country record wouldn’t be pure country - it would borrow the main elements of country music in order to enhance her sound and brand, as Lana’s music can be classified as a genre of its own.
  14. I could see the record sounding similar to ‘Andromeda’ by Weyes Blood. It sounds like an extension of California and some of Lana’s folkier tracks melody and rhythm wise but with some surfy guitar riffs, lush strings and a touch of psychedelia. Maybe a bit of country-rock swing without being tacky. It also has a classical feel and composition and I would love for Lana to explore that sound in depth!
  15. I know right! It’s so amazing to think we have a completely brand new record with nothing but surprises coming in 7 weeks!
  16. LMFAO I was NOT gonna quit like that. Period.
  17. I’m wondering if the source code in her website that says COTCC can be pre-ordered means that the pre-order is coming first week of August. It would make sense considering NFR’s pre-order was about a month before the release. I’m thinking August 4th would be a plausible date, as it’s exactly one month before the release and is exactly one week after VBBOTG is released in audiobook format, which would give audiences enough time to digest Violet while still maintaining hype around her so the pre-order can garner more attention. And maybe a single to come along with the pre-order too!
  18. But from where did you manage to get it onto your phone?
  19. Where is this picture of her from?
  20. I feel like there is going to be a strong surf-haze, dream-guitar and neo-noir feel to this record with a possible return to “Hawaiian Glam Metal” as a lot of Lana’s activity lately has been inspired by Hawaii. 1. For starters, she went to Hawaii with a large group of friends and family at the end of 2019. We know she is very responsive to place, her trip to Hawaii likely inspiring the next few points. 2. She followed a lot of accounts of families with new babies who happen to live in Hawaii, most notably @/ockeydockey; in a DM to her, Lana wrote “maybe it’s the quarantine that’s got me Hawaii dreaming”. 3. She posted a clip to Instagram from the movie “From Here to Eternity” which deals with the lives and romances of soldiers during the attack on Pearl Harbour in Hawaii. Perhaps the quality, technicalities and plot of the film will see half of the album adopt a noirish sound and theme while its location will see other songs sound surfy and summery. 4. Lana’s recent look with her blonde hair and long nails draw back to her Lizzy era when “Hawaiian Glam Metal” was her self-proclaimed signature genre. It’s safe to speculate that perhaps a surfier/noir sound on COTCC had her feeling nostalgic for the aesthetic and look she had at the time. We also see this reflected in her recent decision to don a pair of huge bamboo-golden hoops with words in the centre on her birthday, similar to ones she wore frequently in 2009. 5. In the second video of Patent Leather Do-Over Lana posted to Instagram (the one where she films herself walking down literal sea-cliff stairs), she can be heard saying in the background how the scenery almost doesn’t look like California, but rather Hawaii. The instrumentals to Patent Leather Do-Over are also quite hazy and surfy with their dreamy guitars, which may be an indication of the sound we will hear on COTCC. 6. It could be that FILY on NFR, being the last track recorded, was a jumping off point for more surfy songs, as we know Lana’s earliest versions of songs for a new record tend to be in a similar vein to the previous record, sonically.
