AMAZING. WOW! This really screams a 2020 version of her 2011 style with the hair colour, makeup, jewelry and nails! And Chuck shot these pics and did an amazing job as usual!

I wonder if the people listed at the bottom are interviewing her this issue? Gloria Steinem is listed as well as Jack, who she recently followed on Instagram!

Love this! It must have been shot around her birthday, as her nails were this colour and shape at the time! Also, this hair colour seems to be before her dye job in Tulsa on July 27th!

The title track of Honeymoon! I feel like people don’t really talk about it that much nowadays and when it came out I remember people dismissed it as “boring” because it was “slow” and “sparse” but I think it’s a song where her vocals shine and her extra-layered harmonies in the chorus paired with the sweeping strings and plucked guitar chords are so atmospheric! Musical heaven and masterful lyricism at its finest. I think it’s definitely one of her top 5 best songs of all time and that whole record is a career highlight!

That post with Malena/Complex 2017 cover with the Honeymoon intro...hmmm - that, coupled with the BTD era talkshow leads me to believe she's teasing something really glamorous coming back this era!

After listening to Cherry Flavoured and now Devil's Advocate, I'm really hoping that the "I Want You to Play With Me" collab with Lana will be on their new album! The snippets we've heard so far fit so well, sonically, with those songs. Love that dreamy guitar sound! Since Lana is also releasing her record in September (hopefully) it would make sense from a promotional point of view for their song to be on the album!

She is beautiful, inside and out. And I love Patent Leather Do-Over!

Lana started following @/colbertlateshow, Stephen Colbert’s late night show, on Instagram. Likely that she just followed for his show content, but maybe a performance/interview is on the way? Wouldn’t seem far fetched since the album comes out in 2 weeks! Maybe some promo is slated for the first week of September!

I agree! But I think her hairstylist only styles the hair, since she has colourists in LA (Tracey Cunningham and Jacob Schwartz) and was planning to return to Tulsa to lighten her hair again. Plus, he tagged her makeup artist Pamela too so I think it's not a hair appointment today, but rather a shoot of some kind!

Same! I was reminded of Candace Hillgoss's iconic monologue from Carnival of Souls that Lana sampled for 13 Beaches! I loved the extra little character her delivery gave the poem.

California vs. Thunder

An album only needs to be finalized 3 months before release for the sake of vinyl. That's why the LFL vinyls didn't come until September 29th. Digital and CD turnaround is a lot quicker, so even though Lana finished the final mixes of the album in early June, we were still able to get it on streaming services and in CD format in time for July 21st!
