Even if that tracklist with the rollercoaster back cover isn't real, it seems "so legit" anyways! Having Lilac Wine at the end (assuming it's a cover) would harken back to UV and HM, as those records also closed with a Nina Simone cover. Thematically, I could see Lana relating to Lilac Wine on both a personal level and a cultural level that links to the potential "rich-oblivious-to-the-havoc-of-the-world" theme that some of us have inferred the record will deal with based on the title.

Even if that tracklist and back cover is fake, I have to say, those visuals/titles feel like a Jack Antonoff-produced Honeymoon!

His great joys also included his grandchildren: Elizabeth, Caroline, Charlie, and David and his wife Marya" It wouldn't be too far fetched to assume this is the Violet Lana is referring to, as she said in the video she posted in December announcing VBBOTG as a spoken word album that she was connecting to her own family lineage!

I think the same! What's amazing about Lana is that each record brings a new sound while still retaining a distinct feel that can be attributed to her. Thank you guys so much! That's really sweet I hope so too.

I think the same! And with the LFL May 26th date and NFR March 29th date, Lana never said those dates herself - they came from other sources So I think the September 4/5 date is going to happen! Even though she said January 4th for Violet, but a major studio album is harder to sweep under the rug than a side-project like poetry

Partly, yeah! That selfie she posted with Patent Leather Do-Over reminded of the Honeymoon era selfies and the overall dreamy reflectiveness she seems to be evoking, but I was also thinking about the release cycle like @@Dominikx4 said below : The rollout of this record also feels like that of Honeymoon to me because of how it's kind of shrouded in this mystery right now. We have no explicit indication of what the visuals or sound will be and that surprise element also engages me in a different way than when we get snippets! I love both strategies but there's something about the way things are going now with Chemtrails Over the Country Club that feels exciting.

I would assume Lana just misspoke and that the album is coming September 4th 2020, which is a Friday (as someone had pointed out on here already, she said Hope is a Dangerous Thing.. would come out on January 8 and it ended up coming on January 9) and assuming she has the album cover/visuals ready to go, vinyl pressings would start this week/next week as she has stated before she needs to be done a record 90 days before its release date. However, if there is a delay due to Covid-19, then maybe it'll be similar to the Lust for Life release, where vinyls came out later? I'm so excited though! I feel that this pre-release period feels similar to Honeymoon, which a lot of people have already pointed out

I truly believe Ultraviolence, Honeymoon, and Norman Fucking Rockwell! are the trinity of Lana's discography, as these three records allow her to shine with their organic instrumentation and distinct & cohesive sonic worlds. Definitely Lana at her finest and truest in my opinion!

Serene Queen has a slight eerie-ness to it which may help us get a clearer sense of what the original direction of Lust for Life was. Based on what 13 Beaches is now/what Something Real was, as well as the horror-sounding strings present in the Love demo that leaked recently, I think the original album meshed three sounds: vintage horror movie soundtrack strings/soundscape under heavy beats, ambient "spacey" music, and acoustic songs. ^ The presumed original title track, The Next Best American Record, seems to contain all three of those elements, further implying that it was the original namesake of LFL. I believe a tracklist at one point - likely 2016 - maybe looked like this (based on the timeline of LFL songs) 1. Young and in Love (Love Demo) 2. The Next Best American Record - Demo from 2016 3. Something Real (13 Beaches Demo) 4. Hail Mary (if that song is legit, if not then discard this) 5. Serene Queen 6. Groupie Love feat. A$AP Rocky (as this song was done with Rocky in 2016, it is part of the "original LFL") 7. Lust for Life - Demo 8. Just wondering if the vinyl is expected to arrive on/around the 30th? I know some stores have received CDs and vinyls and have already put them on shelves, but I haven't heard/gotten any shipping confirmation from Lana's store - maybe they'll ship ON the 30th? I remember people getting the Honeymoon vinyl delivered to their mailboxes a few days before the 18th in 2015. Has anyone gotten their vinyl yet?
