Love (vocally only), Best American Record, God Bless America, When the World Was at War We Kept Dancing, and Beautiful People Beautiful Problems remind me of Joan Baez's 1972 record, "Come From the Shadows." I can definitely hear the early Joan Baez influences she talked about in Feb. 2017, and I really hope, if Best American Record/Yosemite/Roses Bloom For You end up on LDR6, that she explores that more folky, stripped-down but still big sound. I think it really suits her! I'd really love something similar to "Prison Trilogy (Billy Rose)" or "To Bobby" from Joan. Of course, I will be happy with whatever she does and hope she enjoys what she's making! I love her!

UPDATED LINK: http://picosong.com/wcsJu/ I plugged in my headphones to re-record and the audio improved, lol!

I screen-recorded it because they posted it to their story but deleted it right after. Luckily, I was able to catch it. The video was too big to upload here, so audio-recorded it in QuickTime and uploaded it to Picosong! http://picosong.com/wcsmM/ UPDATED LINK with better audio recording: http://picosong.com/wcsJu/ I don't know if it's real though, it doesn't sound like something Lana would do.

I think so, I saw on their story, but I'm not sure if it's really the demo. It kinda sounds like a remix but reminds me of some of Lana's 2010/2011 unreleased/demos.

Life rocked me like Motley Grabbed me by the ribbons in my hair VS. Sometimes it feels like I've got a war in my mind I wanna get off but I keep riding the ride

Never really thought about that, but now that you say that, Love and Driving in Cars With Boys have similar soundscapes! Could definitely see the latter being the B-side to Love!

I was thinking this earlier today! 1 year since we were blessed with the first news of this gorgeous bop! -
I'm so glad to see 2016 looks getting appreciated! 2016 is my favourite Lana era by far, just because of the looks and how active she was, and how we were all speculating at what LDR5 would sound like.

Love Best American Record Heroin
-
Heroin, TNC, and BAR type songs are her best genre.
-
Ahh okay. I just remember them being labelled as possible titles during one of the LDR 5 Pre-Release threads in early 2016.
-
Yes I remember! There were also songs titled "Reflec" "RoundUp" and "Like Monroe," if I remember correctly.
-
Lol me too! I just feel like the way Yosemite was described, it sounds like such an intimate song, it reminds me of that.
-
I imagine Yosemite to sound like Audrey Hepburn's version of Moon River from Breakfast at Tiffany's, maybe with more instrumentation, but the overall vibe to be similar. Hope the record has a "folk" acoustic vibe similar to that!

@ thank you for your kind words a few pages back! Same goes to you. You truly are a woke stan with flawless folky taste
-
I know we've talked about it in other threads before, but your taste is perfect. These visuals and this tracklist is the record I NEED from Lana. Folkna needs to happen, it's her roots and it really is perfect for a lighter hearted album that still stays true to Lana's vintage aesthetic! We need to manifest this into reality.

I really loved her look in Melbourne last night! It's very in touch with nature, especially with her hair and the green shirt/tan dress and boots. I hope LDR6 takes a more nature theme, and I think we may get that with Happiness is a Butterfly and perhaps Yosemite, Roses Bloom For You, and Best American Record, if they make it on the album. Bartender and Sylvia also seem to fit! I hope this hints at a more natural, organic, acoustic approach with elements of a very polished sound! I am so excited!
-
I have a feeling Yosemite will be on this album for sure. Of course, Lana's comments about it needing to be heard within an album, but also here - This is a bit of a reach, but Chuck posted this last April https://www.instagram.com/p/BTNUOZiB1mA/?taken-by=yourgirlchuck She used a butterfly emoji. Maybe if Yosemite (presumably the video) relates to butterflies in some way, then maybe Lana was inspired to include butterflies as a theme for LDR6, with Happiness is a Butterfly being derivative of Yosemite's original concept. Maybe this album will touch more on that "return to nature zone" Lana described Yosemite as having in the Beats Radio 1 interview with Zane Lowe last July.

The final note of Heroin reminds me of what the planetarium sounds like. I don't know, I just think of the sun beaming from outer space when that final note, on whatever instrument it is, ends the song. It's a masterpiece; my personal favourite on LFL! -

It's so hard for me to rank the songs in order of my favourite to least favourite, because, again, like everybody said up there, it's so difficult! Every song for me is a 10/10! I think my absolute favourite favourites though, are Honeymoon, Music to Watch Boys to, Terrence Loves You, God Knows I Tried, High By the Beach, Freak, Art Deco, Burnt Norton (Interlude), Religion, Salvatore, The Blackest Day, 24, Swan Song, and Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood. This record is so timeless and it's definitely her most mature and classiest work, in my opinion! I really have no clue which song is my favourite because it's that good!
