Ballad could mean anything. I would consider Black Beauty a ballad and its production is quite dynamic and atmospheric, it’s stunning and I know it’s pretty much a fan favourite. These songs are going to be amazing, I can feel it!

We are literally mere specks out of millions of people who adore Lana Del Rey. She’s also a 35-year-old woman who has very clearly established long-term success and has been able to make her own rules for a decade now and STILL be as successful as her contemporaries (if not more). We really don’t need to care about what she does in terms of promotion because the reality is that her artistry and her legacy are strong and secure enough to do that extra work for her.

Wow, I love how her new title track is sounding! I was a fan of Marina and I loved TFJ, EH, and FROOT so much, but then I kind of fell off with her music as L+F was coming out - but I really feel drawn to her again with this new record! I’m excited, will definitely be taking a listen!

YES! I love this! I remember when Lana posted that video of herself driving around Palm Springs during the Coachella weekend in 2016, listening to L$D. Those vibes would be a perfect blend between her usual style and something with a more hip-hop-esque sound

I thought it was like how Tulsa Jesus Freak was originally called White Hot Forever and she repeats that during the refrain, no? Like naturally, a repeated phrase during a chorus is usually the title, so maybe LYTAN was the original title but since she says “rock candy sweet” she decided to rename it that? And then it was the name of the new album until April and she decided on Blue Banisters?

A tentative tracklist for COTCC from Electric Lady Studios in early 2020 was posted yesterday by a Reddit user and it had 11 tracks but 2 were blank. There were alternative titles (that we knew of/could guess ourselves) and one was “Loved You Then and Now”, which BOZ confirmed is the same song as Rock Candy Sweet/contains the lyric “rock candy sweet.”

How did we know it wasn’t written for COTCC? Did BOZ say it wasn’t? I wasn’t sure because I thought it being on that tentative tracklist meant it was an outtake, although it could be an outtake from a previous album that she just wanted to put on a newer album lol! welcome to LanaBoards btw!
