  1. Unfortunately, I don’t think it means that the album is necessarily done if insiders have access to it. Didn’t people have access to Love in April 2016 - literally the month it was recorded - and then the video in August 2016 - just WEEKS after it was shot? Unless that was different, maybe the situation with Love was directly from the source, and then with COTCC and BB as full albums, it was them interfering somewhere between the studio and mastering site? I don’t know..
  2. That’s interesting about Loved You Then and Now! I wonder if it will appear under that title or as Rock Candy Sweet on the final tracklist! I guess confirmed/speculated songs so far are: - Blue Banisters - Dealer - Loved You Then and Now/Rock Candy Sweet Also - friendly reminder that just because some songs were written with Jack doesn’t mean the album is going to sound like NFR or COTCC. Born to Die was written with Rick Nowels, Justin Parker, Dan Heath, Chris Braide, and other guys, but their input really can’t be heard on the album because Emile Haynie’s additional production really changes things up heavily. For example, Chris Braide plays the piano on MDM, but Emile’s hip-hop beats really make a difference. Compare the OTTR demo to the final - totally different! I imagine Mike’s contributions will diversify the sound a bit if Jack was playing a mere piano part in a few tracks that are otherwise full of Mike’s layers.
  3. I thought it would be cool to incorporate it into the whole newspaper/headlines-being-burnt thing it’s a beautifully chaotic concept
  4. Aw they all look so pretty! Chuck’s hair and dress are too beautiful Lana looks amazing as well, can’t wait to get a better look at her outfit. Her hair and makeup look divine
  5. Literally all of the released catalogue and a good, like, 65% of the unreleased catalogue
  6. “I’m writing my own story. And no one can tell it but me”
  7. Mike is just so cool. I want to be friends with him LOL His energy reads as really laid-back but also really hype at the same time. I can tell he and Lana have been cooking up something cool, I seriously cannot wait. Considering he’s produced so many of my favourite albums of all time, I feel like we’re in for another cult-classic-status Lana record, one as big as BTD was in sound, as well as how big NFR was in terms of Lana’s legacy
  8. I assume you’re referring to the man standing, who is actually Craig Stark! He was in the triple NFR video
  9. Manifesting for May 18th - “BLUE BANISTERS out JULY 4th Made with @therealmikedean @zachary_dawes @jackantonoff Cover shot by @nadialeelee“
  10. The 20th day is on Tuesday! I’m hoping she will say something then
  11. Madonna got a lot of unfair criticism/attracted a lot of controversy for being more outright with her sexuality in her music, which kind of fits perfectly with the sentiments of QFTC, so I do wonder if there is some sort of collab about that on the horizon..
  12. This moment in the pre-release reminds me of this exact time 6 years ago, when the rumour was that the lead single of Honeymoon was called “Regina Sunset” and then one of the models in the MTWBT video posted BTS pics saying the song was coming out in June, and the fake tracklists included Yes to Heaven, Fine China, and a song called White Tiger. And then she shook everyone to the core by singing an a cappella verse of Honeymoon on the last date of the Endless Summer tour and included the lyrics in the lyric books at the merch stand and it was just such a fun time! I’m really feeling a similar type of anticipation to this album because we already know it’s going to be so different
  13. Awww, you guys are so sweet. I’ve been thinking the same thing about both of your work!!
  14. That promo is fake unfortunately that photo they used was a backstage glam photo from the Endless Summer tour!
  15. I started this when we thought Rock Candy Sweet was still the album title, but thought I’d finish it to reflect Blue Banisters lol. I had something different for Lana in mind when doing this! Kind of Travis Scott-inspired.
  16. ? Announcement on May 18th, lead single on May 21st ?
  17. Thank you, I’m so glad you agree. It is so true - Lana is indeed the best of the best and we’re so lucky to be experiencing her music in real time. That is the real gift of it all!
  18. Reading this thread descend into madness mid-glam ♥️
  19. Instead of rehashing the same topic of Jack and Lana, let’s focus on something we can all agree on! And that’s the reality that if Lana did the same sort of sound every single album, we wouldn’t appreciate the records for what they are as their own. Yes, we would probably still like them and enjoy them, but Lana is a true artist because she can recount her experiences through so many different lenses and make it authentic. Born to Die is innovative, lyrically and sonically. Nobody has done it like her on that album. Paradise is a thoughtful and provocative extension of that album and is a soulful piece that only Lana Del Rey could create. Ultraviolence is full of fire, it’s raw, aggressive, but still cool and calm and collected. Honeymoon takes that even a step further with its subdued elegance and candid-but-abstract lyricism. Lust for Life is bright-eyed and brilliant in its narrative. Norman is casual and a soundtrack for daily life, it’s a look into Lana more intimately. And Chemtrails takes that to a more existential level as a moody meditation on fame. My point is - they’re all different. I love Jack and Lana’s sound but I think if they did three albums together in a row, I would of course love it, but what we love about Lana is how she can step into any genre and still make it her own. I’m sure that if Lana always made a “2.0” of her records, then people would take an issue with that. I’m also sure that Mike Dean is going to bring something fun and exciting to the table and help her reach whatever artistic vision she has this time around. It’s definitely going to be a change and that’s exciting! The uncertainty in that with room for something grand is exciting.
  20. You should express your buried thoughts more often because man, when you do... I completely agree. These records are extensions of her identity. It always feels like a bit of a hit to the soul when they’re dismissed the way they can be, like you said.
  21. The way this album is going to be her Blackout... a fiery, cult-status record that stays true to the artist’s style but adds an electronic twist and just so happens to be written partly in response to negative press
