If her team is prepping for anything it’s most likely the collab with The Weeknd. I fear she will leave us in the dark about TRPWS until at least March 😩. I doubt it’s even done or finalized. She released MAC and VB 11 months before NFR was released. Her choice. She chose a 9 minute song as a single and told Ben and Ed to deal with it. She could have released Henry at any point in the last year but she hasn’t. The enthusiasm just seems so low and off.

I do wonder if the wildfires and the new presidency are inspiring her. And if so will she delay TRPWS as it evolves it into something else or will it be a new project? Or is she just in her swamp bubble, vaping and enjoying the married life

I’m genuinely asking and am curious: do people think Trump will become a full on dictator and try to overthrow the United States government? Obviously he does not care at all about the constitution or norms and is only interested in his own personal gain / power / nursing his tiny ego. And we all saw what he did the last time he was booted out of the White House. But do people truly think he will try to stay in power at the end of his term and rule? It’s wild to even have to ask this. It’s also wild to see democrats and talking heads from cable news who have screamed Trump is a wannabe dictator for almost 10 years now be friendly with him. Part of me thinks a lot of this is performance theater and people looking out for their own gain. But I also think this country is primed for a takeover right now and it seems a large majority of people are so brainwashed they would be fine tearing up the constitution if Trump told them it was fine. It’s hard to imagine what this country looks like four years from now (certainly way worse off) and what happens next when / if he leaves office.

I'm predicting silence until at least March. There's just zero momentum on her front and dead silence from the usual trusted insiders. Normally, there's a crumb or inkling that things are happening behind the scenes. But it's been dead silent. She's thrown so much at the wall the last year: Henry snippet; announcement of new album 'Lasso' and new genre out in September; teasing Fenway Park intro song; teasing 2 singles coming before the end of year; announcing a totally new album with a homemade cover and Wednesday release date. I think this next album is very much a work in progress.
