I really want to see the outfits she wears on tour because I feel like it'll be representative of the next record.
 
Like, in all the festivals she played at last year she wore white dresses, and that played into the Love MV and probably embodied how the original record was shaping up to be (back when it was called BAR rip) White dresses, and then we get some flower child/lighter vibes in her earlier songs (yail, groupie love, 13b).
 
And then you have her current fashion of wearing black outfits to her shows. The casual black tshirt/jeans, short hair, short black dress, black shoes - maybe this darkness can relate back to the importance she placed on "out of the black/into the blue" being the last line on LFL.
 
So if this black outfit trend continues into the tour, we have a concept on our hands ladies and gentlemen - maybe LDR6 will be ultimately sexy and self assured, like an extrapolation of cherry/burning desire/sad girl/gods and monsters/yayo

Very difficult to pick one, but probably going to have to go with BTD, since it was the start of it all (Sirens and AKA music-wise were maybe origin points, but hadn't been fully developed yet, especially Sirens). I mean God, especially for a debut, it just made such an impact. She brought everything: great music, mystery, beautiful photo shoots, iconic videos, an interesting backstory, her style (music and clothing), a little bit of controversy, not to mention she was just so different from anyone else in the mainstream. It felt like everyone had an opinion on her. It was so fresh. And what's really cool about it is that no one is ever going to be able to replicate that. (Yes, obviously there will be new artists that will come with their own voice and backstory and aesthetic and probably cause a stir, but no one is going to do it exactly like Lana did it and that's what is so great. She paved her own path.)

Born To Die had Lana's first boom in the media, suddenly she was everywhere with thinkpieces being written by the minute about her. We had plenty of interviews like the the iconic and cute NME and Vogue ones, plenty of gorgeous photoshoots, she was looking absolutely gorgeous and was dressing amazingly (the best she's looked IMO), the beautiful videos for BTD and NA, basically began to revolutionize the aesthetic of tumblr, she was a whirlwind of mystery and controversy and it was fun to be a Lana fan in that era.

Once I paid attention to OTTR lyrics, I was hooked. It's beautiful story telling and it pretty much explains my life in my 20s. I'm in a different place now and I still like the song, it doesn't make me uncomfortable to listen to it, which means it's a great song imo. At first, I thought "My old men" meant "her father", I thought she was wicked! Then I realized......
 
And I ran to register to this forum to see if there was other people with the same kind of daddy issues. Apparently I'm the only one. Or "was". Those old pervs can go to hell now.

As you can see lfl already has more streams even though it's just months old vs HM being 2 years old, and this could be because some of the songs are more poppy and I'm not saying LfL is better because of this but it shows her longevity and growth, just thought this might be fun to do...

I have to say that I love the position Lana is in. She is successful to the point where she can be artistic and still make money. Most mainstream artists can't do that. Plus, Lana can go out in public without the craziness like other celebrities and mainstream singers. I know before LFL was released, a lot of us wanted her to become more famous and well-known, but I prefer where she is now.

i was living my life and video games was on tv while i was dealing with my parents, tbh that was right around when i left home (circa 2011). I remember I was distracted by the americana vhs imagery and her voice was beautiful but i didn't have time for that sort of thing if it makes sense.  was super busy and stressed. Then some years later I was cruising the guardian as you do for my english class studies in current affairs/politics and there was a review of lana with a high score but the way it was written was a bit cynical and guarded.. so i listened to ultraviolence on Deezer and i got 100% hooked on Cruel World. Then every single song on UV. I mean i knew it was iconic: CW, UV, SoC, BB and when West Coast ended i had to take a break because it was so awesome.  I mean I heard SS several times when you hang around at the bar and maybe once at the club and her voice was always nice. But Uv was what turned me into a stan   , and then I tried to find all of her unreleased.
