I just think that the "farewell" is goodbye to Born to Die and Paradise. Tropico (forgive me if I'm wrong) is three of her music videos into a short film and she's already released music videos for Paradise. BTD/Paradise was sure a significant time for Lana, her big break, and what projected her into the spotlight and I'm sure she's doing something to commemorate the end of that era. Remember how she said she was going to quit music back in September of last year after Paradise came out?

Lana Del Rey may have outgrown her former wild child days, but she still has a thing for Mickey Mouse.    The 27-year-old Summertime Sadness star was the walking advertisement for Disneyland as she headed to a friend's house in Los Angeles on Tuesday.   Lana was perhaps harking back to her youth by wearing a large T-shirt with a colourful graphic of Mickey Mouse in front. The long-legged singer was also clad in raggedy denim shorts that she may have parred down from full-length jeans with scissors as the pockets were longer than the hem.   Lana added a reverse blue baseball cap and black leather ankle boots that were so polished she could probably see her face in them if she wished to.

Although I love Mandler's videos, I'd really like another video directed by Woodkid... BTD and BJ were iconic.

I think Katy Perry will slay everyone on that list. She is already a record breaking poptart with a more interesting, developed and cohesive characters than all your favs will ever have.    I honestly really like KP. and her gold foil truck. Burn baby blue burn.

Gaga can always surprise with one or 2 good jams. If she takes her head out of her ass she can also slay I just don't see that happening soon. Her pop album IMO is not going to flop but I think fans will be disapointed in a way. (I obv voted for her to flop since her music and speech these days is a abomination)

PS: Actually any Gaga fan has info on her jazz album??  Now that's is something I can get interested Gaga related. Take everything away from that bitch and give her only a mic, a bench and a piano. I honeslty can see her giving people a run for their money with a jazz album. Jazz is back strong in Rio for 2 years now. Call it the ADele (Queen of all Queens) effect.

I love Britney. She is the sweetest and kindest person ever. She is bat shit crazy tho so lets be honest: Brit is like a 5 year old now. If she charts and her music is hot the comeback will in a way demand at least a mini world tour. So I don't know if I want her to flop or successed since I wish her health and happiness which she will have grounded in Vegas with her family. I have all Britneys albuns sitting around with the likes of Adele, Aretha Franklin, Queen, Metalica, BB King, Janis Joplin. I keep Brit in good company

Rihanna will be successful that women has all her proportions in extremes: ubber hot music with ubber shit personality. A reliable trainwreck. You know she will be trouble, you know she will do whatever is in her mind, she will screw up  but she will also chart, sell tons of albuns and arenas around the globe. Like I said reliable trainwreck. I can't stand Rihanna after the Chris Brown mess. I just can't.

    UGH THIS PERFECT SONG

And L.A.M.B. was such a solid pop album. I don't think Gwen will be making another solo album any time soon; she's working on a follow up No Doubt album.

A lot of these girls went towards a different career direction, I really want a solo Gwen Stefani album tho.

    And I think Fergie's making a comeback, I'm excited

Lana Del Rey's fashion sense was curiously on the sleepy side.
The hip-hop singer looked like she needed a caffeinated jolt as she strolled solo into Starbucks (It's actually Coffee Bean, GOD) in Los Angeles on Thursday.
Lana was wearing a pair of blue tie-dyed trousers that resembled pajama bottoms along with a white eyelet-lace top that stayed hidden underneath a loose blue chambray shirt.

Time to wake up: Lana Del Rey sported what looked like a pair of pajama bottoms during a visit to Starbucks in Los Angeles on Thursday
Her long brown hair was covered by a blue baseball cap that fortunately kept the sun's glare out of her eyes.
The 27-year-old, who grew up in Lake Placid, New York, was indeed mellow as she was seen leaving the cafe with a small bag of goodies and a super-sized to-to coffee.
Every now and then her red Converse trainers would show from beneath the wide hem of her trousers.

Need a jolt: The 27-year-old singer grabbed a large takeout coffee and a bag of goodies

Cover up: Lana hid beneath a Hollywood baseball cap and a loose blue shirt covered up what looked like a pretty eyelet-lace top
Splash of red: The alternative pop singer added red Converse trainers, red nail polish and a red pendant to her otherwise sleepy ensemble

Lana might still have been too tired to care about her appearance after her lounge-pop performance at Lollapalooza music festival at Chicago, Illinois' Grant Park last weekend.
Then again the lounge-style pop singer isn't exactly Vogue material when it comes to her retro ensembles like the shapeless blue frock she wore during for a July 15 concert in Moscow, Russia.
Meanwhile, Lana is still riding the controversy following the leak of an earlier track in which she disses former friend Lady Gaga with insulting lyrics.
The song points to Gaga as Lana sings about the stars' shared past in Brooklyn, New York before they made it big.

Rest for the weary: Lana recently returned from her performance at Lollapalooza in Chicago, Illinois so maybe that's why she seemed to tired

Love the car: Stardom does have its perks as Lana was seen driving home in a convertible Jaguar

Nodding off: The eccentric entertainer greeted some curious onlookers with crossed arms and smirk

Oh Land is a Danish pop artist.

Her music is in the same vein as Bjork, I suppose?
I heard "Sun of a Gun" on the radio last year and I was hooked.

She's like, the queen of backing vocals, kinda like Lana's acapellas.

Her album "Oh Land" came out in 2011.

    Any other Narwhals here?
(Her fans are called Narwhals, btw. Not sure why.)

I wanted to start by saying I am so lucky to have been able to see Lana Del Rey two days in a row. Although my expectations were way too high and I was unable to meet her, I am still happy that I got to see her live and solidify my love for Lana. I think it's really important to see an artist that you listen to almost every day live, just so that things come a full circle. I don't know if that will make sense to anyone but I'm just trying to say it just solidified my love for Lana, to see her live. I also realized after the shows that when I paid for my ticket, I had to know that this was just for the show. Not for meeting Lana or guaranteeing front row, those were all just my expectations (and dreams haha).

    House of Blues - August 1, 2013

I arrived at the venue about 11:30 AM and much to my surprise, I was #26 in line. I honestly did not expect so many people to already be there, and did not think that especially since House of Blues requires you to pay $20 if you want to skip the line and wait in the priority line. Now I know! This kind of showed me just how big of an artist Lana is compared to the other people I have seen in the past, where getting to the venue at noon guaranteed me front and center. People had been waiting here since 5 AM which I couldn't believe. Then again, people on this forum have gone to shows even earlier.
So I was #26, the venue is pretty small (1300 people), and the barricade isn't that wide. I knew that I wouldn't be getting barricade. Well anyways, it still hadn't set in that I'd be seeing Lana in the matter of hours. I had waited for this day for so long and it finally happened. Lana got to the venue for soundcheck and played a few songs which we could all hear downstairs in the line, Cola, Body Electric, and one more song. It turns out she left after soundcheck but about 7-10 people had met her because they went underground to the loading/unloading station, where Lana was also picked up. So, couldn't meet her before the show, which was my fault. Now I know about that underground entrance though! Doors opened at 8, and I ended up in 2nd row center, because when we got to the main floor, as expected, the barricade was already filled, and my heart kinda sank. It wasn't meant to be. Now, I focused on just enjoying the show and letting Lana do her thing and blow us away. The opening act played for literally 25 minutes, I also felt bad because the crowd was very mean to them. Oh well. Lana came on much later, way after the band left because she was late to the venue. The intro for Cola began and the crowd went wild. I must say, people LOVE Lana here. People knew the words to every song. It was beautiful. After experiencing this concert, I finally started to love the song Cola and it won't leave my head. Lana was flawless. She looked beautiful, she sang perfectly and she put on an amazing show. It was the most beautiful performance I have ever seen. My favorite songs of the night definitely had to be Cola, Born to Die, American, and Video Games. She nailed it. It was an amazing, amazing concert.

I was unable to get a picture with Lana during National Anthem, but I did get my bag with my portrait and letter and rose onto the stage and she acknowledged me, as well as the poster I made, anddd I did get my friend her picture signed by Lana. The crowd was psychotic during NA, people were shoving and I was suffocating. It was crraaaazzzyyyyy. Apparently she snuck out after the show 3 blocks away (??) and no one met her after the show (except a guy who had backstage I think). So I couldn't meet her at all that day, which sucked since I waited for 8 hours before the show, but sometimes it just doesn't work out.

    Lollapalooza - August 2, 2013

This was my first time ever going to Lollapalooza even though I live in Chicago. I had no clue what to expect. So, I went and saw Jessie Ware, because I missed Icona Pop, and I know Imagine Dragons was going to be way too crazy so I skipped them. My friend told me that her uncle would have been able to get us backstage for Lana Del Rey, but unfortunately as it would turn out, last minute he said oh no I can't. It sucked haha. Because of that, I missed out on barricade for Lana (I did have it until my friend told me to come with her to meet Lana). It just sucked yknow? But it's over and I'm over it.

I ended up getting second row during Lana's set, and there were literally thousands and thousands of people watching her perform. It was an unreal experience. Her set list was more or less the same, of course shortened, and she looked so beautiful, even more beautiful this day than the day before.

  22. EVOL liked a post in a topic by PennCentralFan in I saw Lizzie Grant AKA Lana Del Rey at a digital jukebox in a bar in Michigan
I am visiting Michigan and the bar had a digital jukebox via the cable company (comcast). You can literally get all music in pop/rock/country/hip hop/R&B and I kid you not I saw Born to Die, Paradise, and Lizzie Grant AKA Lana Del Rey.

AKA was officially available for about two months so there are legal legit copies are there and I guess the digital jukebox company download and has AKA available for play. I guess the way the jukebox works is that you pay and pick songs and the songs are digitally download to a hard drive. The jukebox is not very big about the size of a big microwave oven. It has a screen where you can touch and the songs you want and you can scroll and and type in the artist and low and behold Lana Del Rey gives you all three of her albums.

So next time you are in a bar with a digital jukebox see if you can find Lana.

Maybe I'm wrong but I guess that Lana is refering to herself in Black Beauty, not Barry. Like she is the sparrow blue, she's involved with so much beauty in her life right now -  she's in a worldwide tour, has an amazing carrear, a boyfriend who cares about her and fame but she can't really see the beauty in it. In some recently interviews she gave me an impression that she is clearly not satisfied with all that happened with her  ( and we also have that video in Dublin when she cried while singing Video Games), in one interview in particular I remember she said something like "All I wanted was to be a poet and all I could get is this ( refering to her staff and the fact that she has to stay in hotels and so on)". We all know that the backlash REALLY affected her so I think that this song it is indeed about her and how she is feeling right now not really about an relationship.
