Really? I would like to know how many artists can do a great and care job like 'Tropico' in recent years and have courage to make a 'short-film' inmediately after a world tour and hard critics from US media. In my opinion, I never seen in recent years anything like that since Michael Jackson and his 'short-films'.

I don't mind Lorde but even who really likes her must admit her personality is quite irritating. That moment when she sings at the award show, hugs herself and doesn't even say thank you....
 
Lorde is far, very far away from being deserving to be compared to Lana in any sense. Actually she is 250 songs, a Ride - Video Games - National Anthem -Born To Die videos , a humble attitude and a short movie away from having the chance to be deserving the comparison. Pure Heroine is a good album tho but at least for me a couple hearings was enought to bore me to the point I can't hear it anymore.
 
At the most she is poor man Lana's Del Rey since you know, she is not royalty and is not proud of her zip code. Yep literally Lana's poor version LOL

Lana is much better in many ways than Lorde (in my opinion). And Lorde recently said some bad words about Lana, so f*ck her.

I hope it once and for all she wins a Grammy, one of the most important music awards since years ago. Not only 'Born To Die' was an incredible album, also she is for me one of the best artist revelation on 2012, so this is her oportunity. #VoteForLana

Am I the only one who thinks Lana and Lorde (the Lana imitator, yes I went there!) in the same category will split the votes between the two of them and cancel each other out? They're both similar. I'd love to see her win but it's kind of amazing that they even remembered Paradise and that she's there in the first place. 

I made a video with subtitles for the spoken parts only (not the songs themselves, of course) - when I first watched Tropico, admittedly I only listen to some lines here and there - I was too distracted by everything else. But going along with what she's saying and how the images of the video tie in with it, it made the whole watching experience infinitely better. And I got to really understand what it was about and what she was going for. 
 

Paradise doesn't stand a chance in hell, but Young and Beautiful I think is a serious contender with Skyfall.  Although, it probably won't win, they're definitely the strongest two of the bunch. The nod to Paradise seems more like encouragement from the Grammy board than a serious nomination to me. It's lucky to call it an EP and while it has good songs, it's far from best album of the year material.  It's definitely the sleeper in that category.
