  1. sorry to bump an old thread..... but, my version of this song has these lyrics: What an unusual name, you said What a spectacular redhead You really seem like a prize to me And you are so mysterious When you are not delirious Oh what you mean to me And she said, how do you know me so well After only one night? Before the ones above, do i have an alt version or something, or did it get accidentally deleted from the OP?
  2. Thank you!! Someone with common sense Yes, there was a bar where you could get drinks including bottled water and free tap water, which is how i managed to stay hydrated while standing in the crowd.
  3. I thought Lana was amazing last night- she was so cute and you could tell she still gets nervous before a performance. Like when she messed up a bit in Shades of Cool she did her signature eye roll and got annoyed with herself. But her vocals were great, 10 times better than what I expected. Was a bit disappointed in the crowd though, seemed like everyone was stood perfectly still holding their phones in the air to record (felt like I'd fallen into an episode of black mirror) I fully expected people to be getting down like it's Friday night (dancing and grinding in the pale moon light) -like the way her backing dancers were, but nothing. Seemed like a lot of people were there because it sounded cool?
  4. Semantically, the attraction to pubescent girls is called Hebephilia. I'm not saying it is any less disturbing.
  5. I'm currently reading Lolita, approx 40% in, and the only direct quotes I've spotted so far are (the obvious) "light of my life, fire of my loins " and "glimmering darling" . It's a good book, I like it. It's not pedophilia, it's hebephilia - but it still makes you slightly uncomfortable. But Nabokov is a great writer, though confusing at times. I'd recommend reading it, if only to say that you had .

    Foxes

Is anyone gonna watch Foxes on Doctor Who next week?
  7. OMG I <3 OUaT. Did anyone else watch OUaT in Wonderland? Apparently Will Scarlet/The Knave of Hearts is joining OUaT- because in legend, Will Scarlet is one of Robin Hood's merry men. I'm not sure i even like half the characters/their directions, and some of the plots are cheesy/predictable/stupid (upset about the Oz arc) But for some reason I still love the show and how everything is canon, and i'm excited to see where they go with the Frozen arc (and the Maleficent arc in 4B)
  8. Slightly off-topic, but is Such Great Heights his novel, or one he's just promo-ing
  9. Agreed about the happiness, she'd have alot more support, and feel less lonely (I guess) because a group of people would be going through it all with her- especially like the SNL performance wouldnt have hit her as hard, or maybe she would have done better- meaning she wouldnt be as reluctant to do Live performances [on tv]. I would love more songs like Is It Wrong though
  10. When i hear Cherry Bomb, I think of the Runaways (the Joan jett Band) Hello Daddy, hello Mom, I'm your Ch-ch-ch-ch-cherry bomb

  14. A Netflix original show, 2nd season now available. Starring Famke Janssen, Bill Skarsgard (Yes, Eric from True Blood's little brother) I like (love) it, it gives me a lot of Twin Peaks vibes- (if twin Peaks were made now, I think it would be very similar in terms of content) I created this topic to just express my WTF at the season 2 finale, What did everyone else think?
  15. I wonder if pale moonlight is a reference to either: -Batman (1989)- The Joker: Tell me something, my friend...you ever dance with the Devil by the pale moonlight? Or Frank Sinatra- Song called Pale Moon - Should I? - Should I reveal exactly how I feel? Should I confess I love you? Should I recite beneath the pale moonlight? And swear by the stars above you? - East of the Sun- East of the sun. and west of the moon We'll build a dream house, of love, dear Near to the sun in the day, crazy moon at night We'll live in a lovely way, dear, living our love in pale moonlight

  17. I wonder if this song was inspired by the movie Pretty Baby(1978)- where Brooke Sheilds plays a baby prostitute.
