The forum got noticeably worse when that sissy character started posting. I wouldn't be surprised if s/he is behind everything terrible that has happened since. Fuck everything.

He'd just say the weirdest things to me and my friends on DM / Tinychat, some of it was so weird that we'd spend ages just laughing about stuff he'd said being serious. Sounds bad, but got to say he did have some interesting Lana information.. :ohreallygirl:

One line that jumps out at me from those songs is in BTTB: "You've been pretty stupid ever since you got famous." Do you think this was a line spoken to her? Or is she singing to Jimmy (which doesn't make sense because he's been famous for a while)? Or she dated some other celebrity?

I'm thinking the love triangle of her, Mike, and her career was a little more convoluted than we can say. This involves her going kind of crazy for fame, I think it fits that era when her album flopped and she dropped her label.

It's such a hot mess. There's something really endearing about it~ I can't stop listening.

First her teacher, now her preacher.

I think 2010, but I'm not sure. I doubt it's as new as "Radio," but until something concrete is unearthed, it will have to remain a mystery.

I love songs where her vocals sound kind of unhinged, almost out of control, but not quite.
 
BTW... do you think the lines "Walking is an art, so is my body" and "He wants a real girl, I’m like a cartoon" are references to her having work done?

It's so cute! I love her vocals...like a more idyllically minded "Afraid," but less scared sounding. Best of the lot so far for me!

This seriously needs to be EQed...I'm astounded that you were able to decipher the lyrics even this much.

Honestly, I struggle with this too. I would say they're trying to cause strife and emnity among the Lana fanbase, but they don't seem intelligent enough to have such a grand scheme in mind. Maybe they just want to be super-annoying and instigate leaks.

A couple weeks ago, I would've agreed with you 100%. But some things have happened over the past few days that have rocked my Lana worldview, and though I think we're far from over with this drama, "Noir" is no longer the end.
 
It's not gonna be an easy journey (especially the more people "trade"), but eventually I feel like we will reach a state of Lana nirvana. At least, I hope.
 
Hence, it would be best for all of us to climb into our hibernation capsules and go to sleep for the next few decades, until there are no more songs to leak.

I don't know about just once, but the one performance (or part of it) we do have is massively different from every studio recording we have of it....it's kinda a special case.
I bet it's the effects, or maybe even the vocal take they used. The demo on Ben's SoundCloud is an incredible, anthemic masterpiece, but the album version definitely doesn't live up to its predecessors.
