How is it that whenever I come in this thread, there's always a completely different atmosphere on each page? one page is filled with a fight one page is filled with stills from Spongebob episodes with Halsey lyrics on them one page is filled with sass With each of them sprinkled with the same "i love halsey..and BADLANDS....artist of our generation clearly" messages

I thought cocaine was in the mix, too. But either way, ugh
-
Not as great as Chandelier, but on par with most of the other stuff from 1000FOF. So, still good. The raspy cracks and breaks of her voice ugh I know they're probably from her drug abuse, but they add such emotion to her powerhouse vocals.
-
Like others said here, it's kind of a cross of Mean Girls and AHS. Some of the scenes are just hilarious/satirical, which I love. The scenes of Nick Jonas climbing in bed with another guy and working out were definitely added bonuses.

Ugh this is a jam. So nice to hear her in a pure EDM track.

Here's the snippet that link leads to: You guys, I'm not ready. I can't even this month with Lana, Ellie, and now Sia. I was just recovering from Halsey, Carly Rae, and Melanie

BBC Radio 1 + Maida Vale - September 15th, 2015 [Audio]

That's what I was just coming here to say! As long as she doesn't burn herself out, we could be set for years to come with Lana material -
Do not wish that upon us. We're not ready. None of us are ready.

Do people not realize that this is the artist she's always wanted to be? She has said multiple times that she is attracted to electronic/pop music with inspirations from all over. She always wanted to make banging electronic music but didn't have the means to do so during the Lights days. Lights/Bright Lights was a one time "folktronica" thing, much like Ultraviolence was a one time alt-rock thing for Lana. - The video's pretty, but nothing special. Her videos usually aren't spectacles, anyway.

Reviving the thread dedicated to these kings for the studio reveal of Hangin'!

"This behavior from Azealia Banks is surprising!" said nobody ever. The girl's a hot ass mess. Her music is fire, but her commitment and personality need overhauls.
-
I mean, I get why she separated them. I just don't see why it was a necessary addition lol.
-
I still haven't a clue why Colors Pt. II was at all necessary. It adds nothing. It just sounds like a concert interlude.

Ellie is on stage now at the iTunes Festival! www.applemusic.com/festival -- Ugh, the improvements she has made since the 2012 iTunes Festival

Party Favors is eh. Hope she follows up with something great, though. Aquarius was pretty solid.

Honeymoon is still holding GO:OD AM from #1 on the US iTunes. It's a good sign, fam -
I have about as much credibility as theneedledrop (except I'm not a jackass) but here's my review of Honeymoon that I'm going to publish in my university's newspaper when I get a chance. Gotta get that media promo for ha: http://auralfixationreviews.blogspot.com/2015/09/honeymoon-lana-del-rey.html

I can see it now: Delirium: The Acute Confused State Edition 22 track album plus 15 new tracks including global smash hits Lights (Single Version) and Love Me Like You Do
-
Listen, we just have to be thankful Lights (Single Version) isn't on it Baby steps, baby steps -- Oh my gosh, though. I cannot describe how excited I am for all of this. Both being such massive albums, I hope Delirium can match the quality of Halcyon. But with On My Mind, it looks like she's playing with fire
-
22 TRACKS OMFG On My Mind is so damm fresh ugh. I love the spice-up lyrically -- I can see where people see the Taylor Swift comparison. And I love the shots fired back @EdSheeran

I can see where you're coming from with the live vocalist thing. She's getting better, but sometimes she gets too overwhelmed moving/bouncing/swinging hair/whatever and her vocals tend to suffer. Early performances were kind of rough, but I mean, so were a lot of artists' first few years of performance. (We are on a LDR forum after all and Lana's the current queen of live transformation.) Her airy timbre is just something people love or people hate; it's just her staple selling point. Doesn't help that the vocal production on Lights and Bright Lights makes her voice sound different than what it naturally does, though. I've noticed as time goes on, her producers have touched her voice less and less. Compare a song like Outside to a song like Starry Eyed, and you can hear a slight but noticeable difference. -- The album will be titled 'Delirium' and will be released in November. Prepare yourselves for the slayage. https://instagram.com/p/7s4YkVzfbm/?taken-by=elliegoulding

I thought he was commenting on her range alone. Her vocal inflection/tone isn't the most flexible, but not awful. Her vocal flexibility was highlighted the most in the backing vocals throughout Halcyon, though. She's capable of delivering above-and-beyond vocals (Explosions backing vox, All I Need from the Live Lounge). I still wouldn't say she's any better/worse than most pop artists, though.
