Isn't Happy for You sampling or extrapolating the opening drums of West Coast + its wah wah guitars on the chorus ? I really felt this

I love Robin, the softness of the chorus and on the song climax is incredibly sweet. I listened to it while driving with my boyfriend and it was a beautiful moment for both of us.

I only saved 4 tracks from the Anthology that I added to my spotify :

I made a cover with the NFR!like picture from The Bolter deluxe : My opinion about the album : I first listened TTPD with "The Bolter" cassette and I was really pleased to instantly love it. The cassette sounding makes the guitars sound heavier and it's so good. I heard 80s/90s songs with a touch of score soundtracks percussion, I love this mix and I wasn't board at all and still listen to it. I Can Fix Him (big fave), The Alchemy, Down Bad, Clara Bow, So Long London, FLORIDA!!!, The Bolter and The Manuscript are my favorite tracks but I love all the record, except the Anthology tracks (mostly all of them are skippers to me). It feels like it's straight out of the 80s, I love it

Lust For Life - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll

I was not loosing my s*it and I don't blame her and her graphic designers to use vintage graphics as inspiration. Calm the stan down -
I really do like the cover and the orange vinyl but I'll not buy it. I only buy 1 version of vinyl now, I like the idea to choose between variants but hate to spend for the same content :s

OMG this album is very good. True Story is a banger, We Can't Be Friends is so moving, Eternal Sunshine track is brilliant, Imperfect for You is stuck in my head (and highly welcome here) and the Saturn Returns interlude is the cherry on top (it def is her Burnt Norton). The only thing I don't really like is Yes, And?. She and Max Martin did an amazing work. I just ordered the CD n°3. The other album I loved was Sweetener (it's one of the most unique Pharell Williams work imo) -get well soon is an immense track- and I like the two albums in between but I don't really know them yet.

I remember we had to call the number on the Honeymoon album cover to hear it during the pre-release era. The recordings of it made it sounds so vintage, what an era <3

I LOVE them all, but Burnt Norton hands down. Listening to it in the middle of summer is like getting a sunburn right on the soul. Its something. The production and its place on the record is perfect. I'll just have a word on Judah Smith Interlude, I love it too, because when I listen to the whole record, this creates a very enigmatic and worrying atmosphere. It certainly wasn't made for it but I don't hear a religious euphoria but a gritty attempt to commune with spirituality. Thanks for bringing a little attention on these interludes <3

Hello, can someone help me to find a link to buy the FLAC file of the Rob Orton Mix ? It's on Spotify but not on 7digital where I buy every Lana single
-
I wasn't into it first, but I quickly grew on me. I read that it was a happy song, but this blue skies can only be sang about this way after having seen complete darkness. The line "Nothing but blue skies from now on" and the ENERGY in it moves me 'cause I hear the force being put into the happiness appropriation AND the deeply hurt human behind it. + the summer vibe of this song makes me feel so good. I'll just admit I always rewind the song at 1:55

Yee Haw !!!

Very summery, for sure it's not an instant bop but Lana's voice is sweet and warm and the production is at a NFR level. Only the voice mix is very strange but def retro. Maybe it's a little bit too short, but it's not a real single and not an album track so it just is what it is. Jack lovers will love it, Jack haters wil definitely hate it.

WRONG THREAD SORRY Very summery, for sure it's not an instant bop but Lana's voice is sweet and warm and the production is at a NFR level. Only the voice mix is very strange but def retro. Maybe it's a little bit too short, but it's not a real single and not an album track so it just is what it is. Jack lovers will love it, Jack haters wil definitely hate it (and they better chill 'cause it's a Jack album soundtrack).

This is one of her best tracks <3

Lasso is a wonderful LDR album title. The visual can looks beautiful with original Rock Candy Sweet font. I hope Lana's signature will stay strong, like what she did with COCC (folk-inspired but VERY LDR), because I'm a little afraid of country music. I love and listen to country music artists but I can really be hermetic to some of them. It might be the opportunity to hear studio versions of I Must Be Stupid For Being So Happy & Hey Blue Baby.
