That’s actually a good idea -

Henry has been edged by Lana for 8 months now
-
Thank you

Okay false alarm then lets go back to our regular program

Sept 13 is way too incredible to be true. This would be hell of a short pre-release. I’ve checked Metacritic’s coming release calendar and no big act is attached to that date… could it be true?!??
-
ok this is so messy
-
First time I’ve seen the Sept 13 date thrown around… And I don’t know if I choose to believe or not. May 26 for LFL and March 19 for NFR had been snowballed around so much by major media. But has anyone else seen this date before? Like on Reddit?!?
-
I’ll speak for myself by saying I prefer this waayyyyy more than the endless snippet fest of NFR. No matter how Lasso sounds, it’s going to sound very « new » if we don’t get any other snippet
-
I’ve read this many times and never commented on it yet. I remember that someone said her team was pissed that so many info’s leaked about OB. Maybe they’ve reached out to « the usual suspects » in the following months, telling them to keep quiet next time, which would explain the silence from them? I mean, we barely see BoZ online anymore…

Bah, those big venues are always cashing in on the experience. I’ve been to a few shows where I bought overpriced merch. Did I regret it? No, but I’m also not the biggest merch buyer music venues so when I do it, it remains special . And yeah, it’s overpriced as hell, but some items here are cute. -
I don’t think anyone knows for sure when she finished recording it. As for the evolution of the album, to me, it probably shifted a bit when she began working with Quavo. Tough is probably on Lasso and although it has some country elements in its production, it doesn’t scream country to me. Which could explain her weird reaction when asked about it by NME (I think it’s them? ): Lasso is probably not that much « country »

I always take what « insiders » say with a grain of salt, but contrary to many here, I don’t discredit them completely : preNFR era, when we were parched for news, one account said we’d get two new songs by Lana by end of summer… and we got MAC and VB. Same with another one, who said we’d get the lead and preorder to OB on December, which we did. theyre clearly not all reliable, but some of them have got to speak to the right people who really know things.

I agree with you: if nothing happens this week, I’ll have to lower my expectations for an album before end of the year: a single surely but maybe not an album.
-
Im not American, but this election is really on the world’s radar. No matter what the outcome of it is, the week following at least, it surely will be the main topic on everybody’s lips. The reason why I brought up the election is because I haven’t see yet albums announced for a Nov release and I was wondering if labels avoided that month this year. And also, I remember Lana got a bit of criticism from online media’s for going live, night of the 2020 election, to talk about the Chemtrails delay
-
A November album could sell well indeed, especially if it’s before thanksgiving (which launches the holiday season), but I don’t know if the election this year could affect album releases… As for Taylor… she could release anytime and her albums would sell.
-
I don’t expect Lasso in September. A single : yes! An October / November release is still on the table I think. But things have to be set in motion like in the next three weeks. Passed that, well, see ya in 2025!
-
Do you know something we don’t?
-
To their défense though, we know media learn release dates through official statements by the label and when an artist posts about it (is there any other way these days? Not sure ) and well, artists don’t usually give dates they haven’t verified with their label, so
-
When LB is convinced an album is scrapped, this is when we get confirmation it’s coming
-
and that way, Taylor won’t release some BS bonus track of her farting the demo of a TTPD song (or whatever sh*t she’s been pulling through lately) just to block Lana for going number 1
-
Some media have more faith than we do that Lasso is still coming in September 😂 https://x.com/lanaschart/status/1824520516549357719?s=46&t=9DAe1og0lBbLa_v4qZjMpA

Totally agree with what you said. I also love a short prerelease, and yeah with 2024 being one of the busiest years ever for major releases, and the fact that we do move on very quickly from album to album, labels decided to have shorter prereleases so that hype doesn’t die down. Here’s Metacritic’s upcoming schedule of going albums so far. https://www.metacritic.com/browse/albums/release-date/coming-soon/date#google_vignette It helps with what is realistic or not for our expectations
