  1. I like the tracklist already! RCS sure will have a lot to be compared to when it comes to tracklist: it was her best tracklist ever IMO.
  2. The title sure is poetic, but she never teased a poem simply by giving its title in an Insta post. She either took a picture of the whole text or recited it, with or without music. Plus the frame is the same as the WD teaser. when I hear a snippet or the whole song, either my hype will be through the roof if it’s not country or it will be very much tamed. I don’t hate BUS surprisingly, but a country album will get my excitement on the same level as Violet’s: cute project, but won’t lose sleep over this.
  3. Exactly! I never wished more for a snippet in my life!
  4. So every three weeks seems to be the new flow for infos (FML)
  5. Queen of reinventing herself: Blue Banisters instead of the guy making her blue
  6. She never announced a poem with a “cover”... is June 1 still alive
  7. Beautifully summarized The Violet audiobook didn’t get released on schedule either (Jan 4). Absolutely right about dates that never check out unless her company is on board. If we get a song from RCS in June, I’ll be gladly satisfied. Not expecting any complete album by June 1. By the way, Interscope must be scratching their head with all of those projects that are done and ready for release: Chemtrails ain’t a month-old, Behind the Iron Gates seems to be done (with a likely summer or fall release, unless RCS gets in-between), the cover album (albums?) could be dropped anytime if it’s done. The Nikki one is the one we know is not ready; RCS is a big mystery on all levels.
  8. she is saying one thing then another all the time, which makes it so hard to follow. - Annie Mac interview : “I’m tired, I don’t work much after a backlash”/ reveals next album out on June 1 and has songs in the bank with Nikki. - Jack: “You are on a path to stripping songs to their most essential”/ Lana: “I asked Jack to go wilder at the end of songs” - “Pandemic cut short my work with Jack”/ “Jack is on board for songs” i mean...
  9. Everything you say makes sense. It’s hard to say if she is done with RCS because we lack so many info. - When she launched QFTC, I thought she was done with Chemtrails, thinking she had written and recorded during the quarantine, her and Jack on different coasts. But in interviews this year, she did say the quarantine had cut short her time recording COCC. - COCC was supposed to be called WHF, and TJF clearly is a standout on that album, and is one of the few tracks that has a bigger sound. Again, she did say that Chemtrails is about standing at a still point, but I guessed she had envisioned that the next step would be in the vein of WHF. - So: Chemtrails was mostly recorded just before Norman’s release and through her NFR tour. Quarantine cut it short. The big mystery remaining is: did she record during last summer and last spring songs that would end up on RCS? Plus she did meet with Zach at some point for the folk cover album... Did new songs come out of those sessions or just covers?
  10. Love this song, but it’s a bit too recent I think? I’d love a cover of Lou Reed’s Perfect Day, if it fits the mood of the album.
  11. So any news? did I just read that one of you had info about that damn record? Or it’s just assumptions?
  12. I now get why she teased TJF, since it was considered to be the title track at some point. So maybe the title track to RCS will be the first snippet?
  13. It’s honestly so fucking hard to follow her. I mean, RCS is a project coming out of the blue and supposedly dropping real soon. we were expecting a cover album, a country one maybe, a second audiobook. Plus she seemed so tired in January in the Annie Mac interview, plus the other interviews where she said she didn’t know what the next move is... And now, on Insta, she is all in on country vibes... and we really don’t know if RCS will be in those veins.
  14. I understand what you mean. I think it’s in line with what I’m saying also: we need something bigger for RCS, especially when it’s supposedly a summer album. Love NFR and Chemtrails, but those two really are toned down in terms of production and after Chemtrails, to go directly to country-folk would be too slow in my opinion. After Hm, she needed to change the pace a bit and she did, even if some of us really don’t like how “all over the place” this album is (it’s not my opinion because I connected with this album). I really love Chemtrails but I don’t listen to it as much as Norman, sadly. like you said, I’m not against country because she knows what she is doing (I wasn’t that eager for Summer Bummer because it’s not my favourite genre and yet, I love the song, and BUS surprised me in a good way).
  15. I left for two hours and LB completely spiralled down... Didn’t she say to that fan that she was writing new songs already and Jack being on board was for those? Anyways, we’ll have to see when she decides to inform us on that damn album.
