It honestly sounded too good or be true, the picture of Emile and chemtrails. Plus it’s a Jack project (that we know of). I wonder how her relationship with Emile is, though. Like is there any chance they might work together again? Did they get along? Did she have enough space on the creative process?

He did say in an interview they were still friends (maybe he’s still his in his mind but she doesn’t give a sh*t anymore...).

The recent events could have drastically changed the vision of the whole record indeed. Maybe this is why we’re most likely to get that album as planed on September: if the whole album is coloured with danger and our need to connect in hard times (I seriously get those vibes from the rumoured If This Is the End... I Want a Boyfriend, and the album’s title) you kinda want to put it out there fast and not wait for another catastrophe to release it. Kinda like Looking for America.

We never know for sure, with her. The way NFR rolled out, I felt she was tired of the all promo thing, so I didn’t expect LDR7 to be released so soon. But she is a very creative person and writing is now part of her DNA: it’s now a need for her. I also said, last year, that between writing and all the other projects she was attached to, we might not get a LDR LP soon... We don’t know what her projects are anymore (the Alice soundtrack, the Broadway thing...). The one thing I see that could halt all projects is if she chooses to have a baby on her own or with someone. Inevitably, she would not be as available as she would want to. But even if she « takes a break », it could take years before we realize it: she has so much shit piled up that could be released randomly in her hiatus.

If that album does come out in September, I’m very surprised we didn’t hear her collabs with Jesse R and MGK before a new record. I was sure it would be the other way around, since she was releasing LPs every two years now. Glad I was wrong. And yeah, not having heard a damn thing helps a lot, and I’m still not over NFR.

I honestly don't understand where she stands with her poetry books anymore. I thought Violet was going to be audio and out soon, and Behind the iron gates, a physical book. But there's a strong possibility Violet will have a physical release as well in November (I think? based on the Amazon links we found?) and the other one in March... but she teased the spoken-word version of one of poems of the second book... So...both physical releases and somewhere between? after? that, the spoken-word versions of some of the poems from both books?!?!? Or maybe both will have audio and physical releases?!? I'm now excited to hear her poetry, after the two poems teased with Jack's music in the background.

The last records, she gave us double singles a few times around, to give us the « yin and yang » feeling of them. Maybe this is what we’ll get too, with COCC’s lead singles? Not sure I want that at all (I really want to hear pretty much nothing of it before it drops), but the title does scream opposites / dichotomy...

Yes to Yosemite, since we haven’t heard the damn thing, but as for the others, even if I love them, I want something completely new on COCC. And even Yosemite, I wouldn’t be mad if she just threw it on an unreleased collection after COCC. Our hopes are so up for Yosemite that I’m afraid it will disappoint.

The title of the album alone doesn’t scream « commercial success » at all. With what she said in her first « controversial » post, it really feels like it’s gonna be her vision, period. And if it does come out in September, it seems like a good compromise with her record company, in a way: many « post-pandemic » records or recorded during it feel more personal, not so much marketed towards commercial success and NFR is still fresh, so she can dwelve into more personal territories, with a smaller scope (like her poetry books also).

1- is this Adele date confirmed? She was supposed to drop her album two years ago, so... 2- after NFR going to number 3 ont its first week, and with all of her albums doing well over time on streaming platforms, maybe there’s a chance Interscope gave up on a number 1 album from her? And at this point, who cares for number 1s? Fans care for a good album, not so much about sales. 3- I believe in the Sept 4-5 date, but Interscope could decide to postpone it. So 50-50? If a single drops in the next weeks (not sure about that either), it will confirm the date, I guess. Anyone feels like COCC is kinda a « vanity project », not made for commercial success? Especially if there’s no single?
