  1. Not a craving per se, but after days of listening to Doin’ Time as the hot days of summer are slowly coming here, I’d love a cute summer jam from her this year. Probably not happening, but something summery would be heaven.
  2. It’s NFR all over again: she started teasing the damn thing over a year ago and is more active on socials these days. So it’s coming soon?!? But honestly, agree with you, where is the bich? I don’t even think it was near to be a serious project or something she really wanted to do, more like a « Hey that would be cool to do when I’m 50 » kinda thing. We have more chances of getting Yosemite in the near future than to get Pacific Blue.
  3. The four songs that hit the most at the moment: fuck it I love you, the greatest, California and TNBAR (I guess I just love acoustic Lana in the spring)
  4. Exactly. We would be head over heels for this song if we hadn’t overplayed the demo so much. Besides, we kinda know that both TNBAR and California are about Barrie: if she had kept the « impotence » part of the demo, it would have outdone the message of California, the « all is forgiven, come back to see me because we created good music together »
  5. I’m with you on 2021 for LDR7. Anyways, she’ll release her poetry book at some point this year and there are two known collabs (MGK and Jesse R), plus unknown projects probably. We should be fine to wait until then.
  6. She honestly never looked better. It’s as natural as she can get and there is nothing like a more natural beauty. It’s a larger debate of course, and it’s her choice, but I do prefer natural beauty over enhanced one, in men and women. Her freckles are cute as hell, she is getting back to blonde, she seems more “wholesome” in a way.
  7. First thought when I saw that shitload of pictures from her on Insta: Bitch realized her phone was on plane mode and therefore could not post anything for the last two weeks, and this is her revenge. On another note: That black and white selfie is flawless.
  8. Looking back on last year and the critiques we had with her (“what is she doing? She is so lazy! Why isn’t she at that gala?”), after hearing NFR, I kinda get her absence from the spotlight: she seemed to be really channeling beauty from simple things, almost finding it in ugly ones as well. I don’t forget that it’s been a hell of a never ending waiting game for this damn record, but I kinda get better in what headspace she was in (“miss doing nothing the most of all”). Anyways, her motto seems to be “total absence from everything”, then “everything all at once”, like silence before a storm.
  9. Is it possible that the “gay / queer” connection has been “set in stone”, in a way, because the majority of early-stuff leakers were mostly gays? Just a thought I had... It doesn’t “explain” the connection many gays / queers have with her, but it coulda made people think (including us) that all men listening to her had to be?!?
  10. Same. We never learn, do we?
  11. I never really believed we would see that album in 2020. It was too soon. She still opened her mouth too early in tte process. Plus now there is the whole COVID situation, where we don’t know if she is recording or not. Plus there is her Sean breakup (will it change the “concept” of the album, are the two confirmed songs to know the fate or our beloved Yosemite?). Plus it’s her. And there’s still Violet that needs to come out before that.
  12. https://www.billboard.com/articles/news/pride/7873862/5-reasons-lana-del-rey-is-a-muse-to-gay-fans Personally, I think she connects with people that are very sensitive, feeling everything a bit too much, and people that have struggled in their lives. And all LGBTQ+ people have struggled at some point, which makes me think it's the reason why some queer fans are attracted to her. Her lyrics are very honest: I guess this is what many love about her, independently of their sexuality.
  13. It is a good album. it was perfect for summer, very easy to listen to. True, it's very diverse, true, the story is not that clear to discern, but after HM (which i adore, don't get me wrong), she needed to go a bit extra with LFL. LFL came out at a time of my life where I was so mixed up, all over the place, and finding myself wanting to be happier than I was. I know it's the reason why I connected to much with it.

  15. I legit thought her picture with the mask was a bad photo manip.
  16. I told you before: ever since she announced it was delayed, I thought Violet will be out in May. it’s simple Lana math: first date / month + Lana reworking the whole thing (aka the management / record company factor, which is around 5 or six months) = actual release date
  17. It’s from a painter, Erika Lee Sears. Go check her Insta: she has beautiful paintings https://instagram.com/erikaleesears?igshid=1nrbb81znhxq

    Madonna

True, she has never done anything to appeal to others. True, she has always sold sex. I don't think I am ageist though. I prefer downright sexy to sex, honestly, no matter how old a singer (male or female) is. But I feel that her sexed-up act feels now forced as she gets older. Anyways, agree to disagree. This is why i no longer follow her, because she isn't for me anymore

    Madonna

I used to love her, but I'm feeling a bit «uncomfortable» that she is still trying the sexed-up vixen act at her age. Sexy can go a long way, but wanting to appeal to younger audiences with straight-up sex, when she is almost at grandmas' age, I don't know, I don't buy it. Has she been the Queen of Pop? definitely. But many artists tend to fall into the category «that artist's best work is behind him-her-them», and I'm afraid Madonna falls into that category (same as U2). The last song I loved from her was Masterpiece, which is not at all in the same vein as the rest of MDNA.
  20. The Jesse R collaboration he teased. I love those kitschy sounds, and a sexy song about wanting to be played with, that would give me life. Plus her collabs usually give us a new sound (granted, it's not always excellent - looking at you, Charlie's Angels song).
  21. I didn’t think I’d want the poetry book that bad... But with the music by Jack and in these times, it would be so soothing to hear her voice.
  22. Wild One / Color Blue / Wild on You: the sun has set, the sky is dark blue, I am on a beach, by a fire camp and singing this song while someone plays it on the guitar. The Good Life: it’s the end of a summer day, I’ve had a bit too much to drink, the air is warm, night is upon us, everyone is about to go to sleep and it’s the hour where you find yourself feeling a bit too much and saying a bit too much, singing the words of this song.
  23. The lack of bridges used to botter me, the first times I listened to NFR, because her bridges always snapped. However, she did new things on this record that snap as well: the minimalist outro of The Greatest, the musical weirdness of Venice Bitch, the way she sings to herself on the Fuck It I Love You (California dreaming got money on my mind...), etc. I don’t hear the songs lacking something even if they don’t have bridges for most of them. As for the « weak and repetitive » choruses, don’t all of her albums alternate between songs with lush choruses and other ones repeting a single line?
  24. Still trying to figure out, after all these months, what was the lead single for this album hahaha Even Interscope didn’t have a clue. But on another note: I don’t get why she had to swear so much on FIILY: it could have been a perfect single for radios.
  25. Just read this on lanapedia, on the comment section of White Hot Forever: « If the album doesn’t get released by October, then all my hopes for it are gone » LOLLLLL Where the fuck was this guy during the Pre-release NFR era!!?! Plus how long have you been stanning?!?She has always been shit with a calendar!
