  1. I wouldn’t mind a 10-song album since it’s not been a year since NFR. Robyn got away with 9 songs after what? 7 years between records? If COCC is shorter with excellent, cohesive songs, with maybe a couple of ones a bit longer, I’ll be pleased.
  2. I’m preparing for the worst. I really don’t trust no one 100%. But it would be so her, to put aside a good bop because it didn’t fit the album. I guess we’ll see when the tracklist is out. Probably along the cover art.
  3. The recent events could have drastically changed the vision of the whole record indeed. Maybe this is why we’re most likely to get that album as planed on September: if the whole album is coloured with danger and our need to connect in hard times (I seriously get those vibes from the rumoured If This Is the End... I Want a Boyfriend, and the album’s title) you kinda want to put it out there fast and not wait for another catastrophe to release it. Kinda like Looking for America.
  4. So WHF is out of the picture? Great, another bop we’ll have to wait for the leak to hear
  5. With everything going on in the world right now, it would make sense if she changed the song title.
  6. I must have slept on Jack’s comment about WHF. Not very surprised though: all of her title tracks (or tracks that could have been the name of the record) are amazing... Can’t wait to hear that one. I hope there’s a summery track in the mix..
  7. We never know for sure, with her. The way NFR rolled out, I felt she was tired of the all promo thing, so I didn’t expect LDR7 to be released so soon. But she is a very creative person and writing is now part of her DNA: it’s now a need for her. I also said, last year, that between writing and all the other projects she was attached to, we might not get a LDR LP soon... We don’t know what her projects are anymore (the Alice soundtrack, the Broadway thing...). The one thing I see that could halt all projects is if she chooses to have a baby on her own or with someone. Inevitably, she would not be as available as she would want to. But even if she « takes a break », it could take years before we realize it: she has so much shit piled up that could be released randomly in her hiatus.
  8. If that album does come out in September, I’m very surprised we didn’t hear her collabs with Jesse R and MGK before a new record. I was sure it would be the other way around, since she was releasing LPs every two years now. Glad I was wrong. And yeah, not having heard a damn thing helps a lot, and I’m still not over NFR.
  9. Is the last submission day for Spoken-Word album the same as the other categories? If so, then she'll have to wait a bit longer in 2021 for a Grammy nom and win...
  10. I honestly don't understand where she stands with her poetry books anymore. I thought Violet was going to be audio and out soon, and Behind the iron gates, a physical book. But there's a strong possibility Violet will have a physical release as well in November (I think? based on the Amazon links we found?) and the other one in March... but she teased the spoken-word version of one of poems of the second book... So...both physical releases and somewhere between? after? that, the spoken-word versions of some of the poems from both books?!?!? Or maybe both will have audio and physical releases?!? I'm now excited to hear her poetry, after the two poems teased with Jack's music in the background.
  11. The last records, she gave us double singles a few times around, to give us the « yin and yang » feeling of them. Maybe this is what we’ll get too, with COCC’s lead singles? Not sure I want that at all (I really want to hear pretty much nothing of it before it drops), but the title does scream opposites / dichotomy...
  12. Good for you. At least you know it’s fake, unlike many people that are eating that shit up on Twitter lolll
  13. I’d say 11 or 12 tracks, unless she decides to include songs from previous projects à la California, TNBAR and Doin’ Time.
  14. Same happened with UV... With LFL, I remember everyone bitching about Heroin... and it’s now one of our faves lollll. They honestly should have included White Hot Forever ans Let Me Love You Like a Woman to give it a bit of credibility, instead of Swimmer...
  15. Amen!Swimmer?!?? Aftermath of Perseverance ?!?? It’s on par with the Legacy track that Czech fan account published in the NFR era.
  16. Yes to Yosemite, since we haven’t heard the damn thing, but as for the others, even if I love them, I want something completely new on COCC. And even Yosemite, I wouldn’t be mad if she just threw it on an unreleased collection after COCC. Our hopes are so up for Yosemite that I’m afraid it will disappoint.
  17. If COCC is out in September as promised, it will draw further the comparisons with HM... Interesting!!!
  18. Imagine if it really is the case: it would be pretty much the first time that the timeline didn’t change from the project’s first mention!!!!! When she first mentioned working on HM, did she say when it would approximately be out? I can’t remember if she stuck to what she said with that project.
  19. I still think it’s on. There are not a lot of things we can « take for cash » in what she says when it comes to her future projects, but snippets and precise dates come through 90% of the time.
  20. The title of the album alone doesn’t scream « commercial success » at all. With what she said in her first « controversial » post, it really feels like it’s gonna be her vision, period. And if it does come out in September, it seems like a good compromise with her record company, in a way: many « post-pandemic » records or recorded during it feel more personal, not so much marketed towards commercial success and NFR is still fresh, so she can dwelve into more personal territories, with a smaller scope (like her poetry books also).
  21. 1- is this Adele date confirmed? She was supposed to drop her album two years ago, so... 2- after NFR going to number 3 ont its first week, and with all of her albums doing well over time on streaming platforms, maybe there’s a chance Interscope gave up on a number 1 album from her? And at this point, who cares for number 1s? Fans care for a good album, not so much about sales. 3- I believe in the Sept 4-5 date, but Interscope could decide to postpone it. So 50-50? If a single drops in the next weeks (not sure about that either), it will confirm the date, I guess. Anyone feels like COCC is kinda a « vanity project », not made for commercial success? Especially if there’s no single?
  22. I was very « first time listening experience »and anti-leaks until NFR. I never had any « defining » first listens of her albums. Sure, a couple of her songs brought me to tears the first time I listened to them, but they would have no matter how I would have heard them the first time, and I never go to a specific setting outside my house for a first listen. NFR came out just when I was getting back to work after the summer vacation, and the HQ leaks happened just before the rush of going back, so it suited me better to listen to the leaks instead of experiencing NFR while getting prepared to go to work (nothing very emotional there). In a way, the leaks « dulled out » my over excitement. However, I listened to one or two leaks from the cassette recording... and they were painful AF. There’s lq and lq. The whole production sounded like a mess and she sounded as if she was under water.
  23. And she never does anything on her birthday regarding music. I’m torn between wanting a new single from her and not wanting to hear anything before the album.
  24. I don’t see other songs from that project making it to COCC either. Thunder is very good, but is nowhere a « Jack song ». I tried putting California and Thunder one after the other on a playlist, and it really doesn’t flow. Everybody wants to hear the other songs from that side project, but they probably aren’t all good. Anyways, I’m super curious of the new album since she mentioned the new title. Hope it comes through on September 4-5.
  25. It’s a cool and intense experience. With VB, it was insane, because we were active in three different threads at once. The last time that the threads were going so fast was when she did the interview for LFL, dropping the two singles and explaining why some songs didn’t make the cut. The meltdown that day, wheewwwww.
