  1. Ok. I’m keeping in mind this cover and the future backlash on Sept 4, to see if they check out. Sorry, buddy, but so many have played the « insider » card over the years that I don’t believe anyone anymore.
  2. So, you are this era’s insider?
  3. Nobody knows for sure. It’s probably a glitch. Same happened with her albums (and Taylor’s) in the NFR pre-release era. We thought back then it was because NFR was coming lolll.
  4. Doesn’t it happen once in a while? Like some glitch... Same happened last year with her albums and Taylor’s. It came back a few days later. We thought it meant NFR was coming when there were no news of the damn thing.
  5. Wasn’t there also a rumoured Drake collab? I don’t believe these unless I see receipts.
  6. I have no expectations for the cover except, well, chemtrails in a blue sky and her on it (even that, I’m flexible). Other than that, I’ll let myself be surprised
  7. I still can’t believe it’s literally written NFR! on all copies (except the uncensored ones sold by Universal and the UO special edition ) after a year of writing it down here. LDR - COCC on the cover would be so cringy.
  8. Hey Blue Baby brings something we don’t hear often from her and it’s a faster beat. Plus I like how the chorus sounds. Stupid For Being Happy is a bit more bland to me, but with proper production, it could be a real grower. Length is something, width is another...
  9. Hey Blue Baby could be a great opener to COCC because it would mirror NFR’s opener with the line « You’re making me blue »/ « You make me blue ». Of course, nobody has a fucking clue of the sound of COCC, but at the moment, I like that idea.
  10. I’m with you on that one. Her precise dates come through. There is the Jan 4 release date of Violet... but was it an Interscope related project at that moment? She described it as « rough and unpolished » (or something like that)... and now we know Jack is involved: she clearly reworked the damn thing and maybe brought Interscope on board as well.
  11. Well, HM didn't have its first lead before August for a Sept 18-19 release... (okay, she teased the title track in June and it was on her YouTube channel in July). I'm not sure we're getting a single with COCC. To me, this is her version of a «surprise» release: we're heard nothing of the damn thing before it's out. If we do get one, somewhere in July? At the moment, and for a couple of weeks still, i don't see new music being released by a US artist being a good strategy (imagine if she wanted White Hot Forever to be the lead because it sounds summery )
  12. Well with almost a year of pre-release, it went everywhere and there were a lot of back and forth on everything. I thought BAR was buried and dead and that Yosemite had a better chance. However, two of my predictions happened : all the songs she teased with a snippet ended up On NFR and that there would only be a couple of songs (like 2 or 3) that are like VB (Namely CG and FIILY). Other than that, someone predicted the green vinyl, the BAR lovers were right (but ultimately deceived with the final song)... Did someone predict Doin Time would end up on NFR? The vast majority didn’t think so... There was also the fear that the cover would be a selfie or a ugly ass picture by Chuck (I personally love the cover and didn’t think it would be that « finished »).
  13. It doesn't deserve all the backlash it receives here. I said it before, and many times, but although I loooovveee HM, we needed something a bit more diverse for her next project. Many here listen to the demos of the songs and wish LFL sounded like that: I'm sorry, but it would have been a «toned down» HM, which would have bored the rest of the world.
  14. And IMO, JK Rowling is way worse than Lana, because she meant what she said and did no misapp in her writing...
  15. On my Lana playlist, LFA is already the closer to NFR and is super gorgeous and Season of the Witch is my opener. The rest of the album is between these two, in the same order, and it fits beautifully. As much as I love LFA, I don’t want it on the new record.
  16. I’d take a reworked Yosemite and only if it fits the whole album. We know Yosemite was acoustic and I love acoustic Lana. I’d love that song to begin slowly but then have some atmospheric « surf vibes » mixed with the acoustic guitar while she chants softly as an outro.
  17. Those are all valid arguments and it’s true that the world sure don’t seem very stable at the moment and anything can change. But I can’t imagine her dropping a date without having consulted with Interscope first. As for other Interscope artists releasing this year, Dua and Gaga aren’t in the same register as Lana and are spaced enough not to change anything. And maybe these hard times with bare minimum for release are what she always wanted. And as for Adele, she will have a number one no matter when she releases her new album. Plus: everyone is expecting her new album for last two years now and she is still not releasing it, so music execs can’t go forever putting projects on hold because Adele might drop it (by the way: how lucky are we, as fans? Since Adele’s 25, Lana released HM, LFL, NFR and will probably release COCC before the rumoured « 30 »).
  18. I still can’t understand to this day why she teased that one: did she think we wouldn’t harass her for that one until the end of time? Maybe the snippet game would work if she teased 30 seconds of each song the day the album is released? Anyways, there’ll surely be an obscure retail site that will leak a preview of the album a week before and Interscope will still send copies early and one fucker will leak it anyways.
  19. White Hot Forever was « too obvious » for a Lana title, just like Honeymoon was. It’s the kind of title that has no surprise whatsoever, as if it was « expected » from her. Paradise, also, doesn’t have that wow factor I got when first announced: Ultraviolence was shocking; Norman Fucking Rockwell was surprising and so Americana; Chemtrails over the Country Club, though more fitting for a poetry book maybe, is mysterious, and has a duality in it that I really like. I’m curious for the sound and lyrics of the title track (can’t see why there wouldn’t be one), same as I was when she first mentioned Mariners Apartment Complex.
  20. ?!?? Maybe my expectations were so low with the shitshow of NFR’s prerelease, and wasn’t expecting anything more than a selfie for the cover, but I still find it’s one of her most beautiful covers.
  21. NFR wasn’t supposed to have any covers, until she changed her mind with Doin’ Time (and let’s be honest: it didn’t hurt NFR’s numbers to have that one included), so maybe COCC doesn’t have any either? I’m curious about the song they recorded together last year, if it fits COCC’s sound and is a good song, ok. But wasn’t it intended for his scrapped record? He is releasing a new album in July, but it’s more punk than what he usually does, so I wonder what will happen to that collab, if we’ll hear that one some day.
  22. I wonder if Interscope sat down with her after NFR, asking her not to ever do that again... That was tiresome to say the least.
  23. Well, major media such as Billboard seem to think it’s a musical album. I think we’ll get the spoken-word album later on (strongly think it will have poems from both poetry books).
