  1. I can’t wait to hear the lyrics she wrote for this album. NFR had some of the best stories she has ever written, in an already very rich career of strong storytelling (and stop complaining about VB: along with CG and FIILY, it’s a song about being high, where music and sensations are more important than making sense). And the new poem we heard in May was amongst the best pieces she ever wrote down.
  2. I know I posted yesterday something about us reading too much into these things, but the last post looks like a hint to me, since it was already posted one or two years ago. If a lead is planned, maybe somewhere before mid-July. Cover art in August with preorder (maybe a second song). And a trailer, maybe, the week before, with one or two new snippets?
  3. Brace yourself. This is how she uses her socials: lots and lots of content non-related to an album or a project, dead silence, a couple of bombs thrown when you don’t expect them about new project, silence take 2, lots of selfies and weird things we try to read into as if she is Taylor Swift feeding us Easter eggs, longer silence, THEN ONE OF US FINDS A REGISTERED SONG OR SOME SHIT, and then she confirms with a snippet, a picture and such. It’s not good for your nerves, but we’re all masochists here.
  4. I don’t how music execs get their info, but it’s surely not like that, on a white page straight out of Word. And wow, that insider sure is lucky to have access to exec emails (roll eyes).
  5. So according to these « insider posts », we’re getting a single on July 3 and another one on July 10? HAHAHAHAHA!!!! And a song with Doja Cat?!? This is getting out of hand.
  6. I think the September date will pull through. Like I said before, we don’t have a lot to cling to when it comes to her word, but a snippet or a precise date are 90% sure. Another argument for this record to be out as promised : I get strong « end of the world » tones from the title and from the voice memos she recorded (if they become real songs); you kinda want your record to be still « relevant » by not waiting too much for it to be out. She did record during the quarantine. In some of her pictures, she is FaceTiming with Jack. They must have worked separately. Plus her tour got cut short because of the pandemic, which gave her time to record and write. As for the sound of COCC, I expect some songs to sound similar to NFR (probably the first one recorded), but she never put out an album that sounded exactly like the one prior to it.
  7. I think you’re right. I don’t really see interscope be on board with a new album from her without a « lead single » and a good music video released prior to it. Even HM had that. Even though she said she wanted a surprise release.
  8. Adele's new album is more urban legend at this point than reality lol. I know we stan a ADHD queen, but to have announced that precise of a date, she has to have consulted Interscope before. And if they want her to do well on the charts. no way they would have put her against Adele.
  9. It honestly sounded too good or be true, the picture of Emile and chemtrails. Plus it’s a Jack project (that we know of). I wonder how her relationship with Emile is, though. Like is there any chance they might work together again? Did they get along? Did she have enough space on the creative process?
  10. I’d love that project but saw it as a « Yeah that would be cool to do some day ». And her many « I’d love to do that » projects rarely see the light of day... So I’m not expecting that one soon.
  11. He did say in an interview they were still friends (maybe he’s still his in his mind but she doesn’t give a sh*t anymore...).
  12. I wouldn’t mind a 10-song album since it’s not been a year since NFR. Robyn got away with 9 songs after what? 7 years between records? If COCC is shorter with excellent, cohesive songs, with maybe a couple of ones a bit longer, I’ll be pleased.
  13. I’m preparing for the worst. I really don’t trust no one 100%. But it would be so her, to put aside a good bop because it didn’t fit the album. I guess we’ll see when the tracklist is out. Probably along the cover art.
  14. The recent events could have drastically changed the vision of the whole record indeed. Maybe this is why we’re most likely to get that album as planed on September: if the whole album is coloured with danger and our need to connect in hard times (I seriously get those vibes from the rumoured If This Is the End... I Want a Boyfriend, and the album’s title) you kinda want to put it out there fast and not wait for another catastrophe to release it. Kinda like Looking for America.
  15. So WHF is out of the picture? Great, another bop we’ll have to wait for the leak to hear
  16. With everything going on in the world right now, it would make sense if she changed the song title.
  17. I must have slept on Jack’s comment about WHF. Not very surprised though: all of her title tracks (or tracks that could have been the name of the record) are amazing... Can’t wait to hear that one. I hope there’s a summery track in the mix..
  18. We never know for sure, with her. The way NFR rolled out, I felt she was tired of the all promo thing, so I didn’t expect LDR7 to be released so soon. But she is a very creative person and writing is now part of her DNA: it’s now a need for her. I also said, last year, that between writing and all the other projects she was attached to, we might not get a LDR LP soon... We don’t know what her projects are anymore (the Alice soundtrack, the Broadway thing...). The one thing I see that could halt all projects is if she chooses to have a baby on her own or with someone. Inevitably, she would not be as available as she would want to. But even if she « takes a break », it could take years before we realize it: she has so much shit piled up that could be released randomly in her hiatus.
  19. If that album does come out in September, I’m very surprised we didn’t hear her collabs with Jesse R and MGK before a new record. I was sure it would be the other way around, since she was releasing LPs every two years now. Glad I was wrong. And yeah, not having heard a damn thing helps a lot, and I’m still not over NFR.
  20. Is the last submission day for Spoken-Word album the same as the other categories? If so, then she'll have to wait a bit longer in 2021 for a Grammy nom and win...
  21. I honestly don't understand where she stands with her poetry books anymore. I thought Violet was going to be audio and out soon, and Behind the iron gates, a physical book. But there's a strong possibility Violet will have a physical release as well in November (I think? based on the Amazon links we found?) and the other one in March... but she teased the spoken-word version of one of poems of the second book... So...both physical releases and somewhere between? after? that, the spoken-word versions of some of the poems from both books?!?!? Or maybe both will have audio and physical releases?!? I'm now excited to hear her poetry, after the two poems teased with Jack's music in the background.
  22. The last records, she gave us double singles a few times around, to give us the « yin and yang » feeling of them. Maybe this is what we’ll get too, with COCC’s lead singles? Not sure I want that at all (I really want to hear pretty much nothing of it before it drops), but the title does scream opposites / dichotomy...
  23. Good for you. At least you know it’s fake, unlike many people that are eating that shit up on Twitter lolll
  24. I’d say 11 or 12 tracks, unless she decides to include songs from previous projects à la California, TNBAR and Doin’ Time.
