  1. ?!?? Where do you hear the similitudes? Cause I really don’t. The MGK snippet we heard is probably the beginning of the song and the IYC snippet as well. In what world do these two merge at some point? People are hallucinating now.
  2. Love your never-ending love and devotion to your child. Probably. Like I said before, who is that lucky fucker who got to go to a streaming party of NFR? And why bring back the info to 4chan, of all places? But in this dry era that started fucking way too early, psychic are our go-to source for a calendar of news / new songs, and false well-written reviews are reviving the hype.
  3. I have no idea. Someone who is classic rock? She almost collaborated with Lou Reed on UV, just before he died... So someone in that vein?
  4. Last week, someone here posted a screenshot of a 4chan report by someone who would have had the chance to listen to NFR (4chan sure is a weird place to leak that kind of info; Reddit seems more profesional compared to 4 chan lol. Plus: who is that very lucky fucker who had the chance to go to a streaming party of NFR?). But what it said was interesting and if half of what was said si true, NFR will be making headlines, promo or not. It said that NFR was a sort of homage to her music and career so far, with similar themes but in a new light. But what was mostly interesting was that Lana was looking for blood: she was calling by name a couple of producers for their big ego, and that it could possibly sink one of these big shots' careeer. And also, NFR would have a big collab by someone who is considered like an hermit in the music industry but came out of retirement for her. VB would be cut by a minute, for the album. Overall, the album could get a perfect score from Pitchfork. Again, this is probably false but imagine hearing that kind of record... And if she she really is calling big shots by their name, no wonder Interscope is pushing back the release. It's only speculation, though.
  5. Spring is slowly coming in Canada... and LFL sure is perfect for that time of year. I had not listened to LFL (song) for a long time, and it is such a beautiful hopeful sexy ballad. This album really captures that weird time in a lifetime when you want to be happy, want to move away from your demons and yet can’t help but reproduce old patterns. The softness of Change, after the heavier production of the other tracks, is so soothing. And the album ends up on such a high note, with the chorus of Get Free, bursted with such energy, almost like a cry for help. An underrated album (at least here).
  6. Hahahahaha! Love how people on Insta still think NFR will be released on Friday. The struggle will be real.
  7. This song could be about him and another ex (like the one she sings about in BAR). We associated WM to G-Greasy because he drives a black Mustang (I think? At least, there are pictures of him with a black Mustang), we know they dated around that time, and the « And it’s not even that good » line she added in concert (when his album was out). It’s never totally clear who is the guy in her songs (what songs could be about Francesco? Who knows?) The only song that is probably 100% about him is In My Feelings: it was added late in the mix and she is clearly talking about him moving on to Halsey.
  8. Same, at least for VB and MAC. Hope Is a winter song for sure. HTD is clearly Fall, same as Cinnamon (very end of evening, October, and the air is still warm). HIaB feels like Spring though. In Your Car is the one I don’t know. There is some Spring to it, or early Fall. Maybe i’m just influenced by the period of the year she releases / teases songs.
  9. for a couple of months, a couple of us try to calm down all the poor souls who think she will scrap everything, Which she won’t. LFL wasn’t scrapped entirely: a couple of songs were left out, mostly because they didn’t fit the theme and her mindset. A couple of songs got reworked, but not as dramatically as people seem to think she did. She had the possibility to do so on LFL, working with Rick who was more available than Jack is. Scrapping NFR would be stupid and not respectful to Jack and his work.
  10. I see the poetry book as a complement to NFR, the same way her lyric book was a complement to the albums. Maybe she is still sticking to her word, having he poetry book released before NFR after all... With physical evidence the damn thing exists, we might get closer to hearing the damn songs of NFR.
  11. That would be a concept. But does she remember the exact date she first teased it? Not so sure.
  12. The press release is the one media received when Hope was out. The press release is from Universal itself. It was released back in January. It was an estimate I think. Who knows of things changed since then. The May to August period is still plausible though.
  13. She should release them alongside Yosemite and BAR, and call it a folk / country EP. Won’t happen, but it would be a concept.
  14. The press release of Hope... said the lead was coming soon and the other 3 were fan singles.
  15. I'm not so sure either. She first mentioned the song at the Grammys, which means it was one of the first to be recorded with Jack probably. Or maybe not. Maybe she simply mentioned it but it was recorded prior to her sessions with him. If it doesn't make the cut, I'd be disappointed : I wanna hear a track Lana calls weird lol. Yosemite, to me, has a slight chance, since we know it was an acoustic-guitar track; wouldn't be that far off from the sound of NFR, especially if you put a bit of psychedelic guitar in the mix. However, it was written with Rick and, as far as we know, all the songs from NFR are co-written by Jack. So I don't know.
  16. You probably had the sanest attitude of all, to avoid this thread, lol. So, no, no official release date. Ben, in February, had already confirmed NFR didn't have a date yet, and Lana did the same last week with the tweet you found. We either think it is a surprise release God-knows-when (March 29 is almost impossible since Billie Eilish is releasing her album and both her and Lana are with Interscope), or Interscope doesn't like something about the album and is pushing back its release.
  17. Never thought I’d say this, but i want a « July 21 fam » tweet this week :/
  18. her best albums (UV and HM) tended to be 60 minute-long. NFR could be and I'd be in heaven.
  19. Lol where have you been? This tweet kick jumped the thread last week and if you don’t know it’s not coming out on the 29th... I’m gonna stop there, it might get ugly.
  20. I thought the same too. But this week, when the 4chan report came out, though probably false, it got my heart racing, imagining what it would be like to read a review of NFR and something like that was in it. When the lead drops and the release date is confirmed, the excitement will pick up again. The music is just fantastic this time around; it's just that the damn wait with minimalistic promotion makes it harder not to lose patience.
  21. At this point, the lead single is needed lol. I loves all the snippets she teased for NFR, but I also love that we have no clue of 6 songs. I loved LFL partly because when it got out, there were still so many surprises and songs that wowed me, despite 5 singles and other snippets from it.
  22. I'm not so sure about that, to be honest. Jack was in L.A. to record it 9 days a month. She said they began writing / composing / recording in January 2018, until December or January of this year. I feel that the songs were written in those sessions but also in-between, which could explain why the lyrics of so many of the songs feel «superior» or more storytelling than some songs on LFL, where she had the luxury of having her producer on speed-dial and «rush-record» was a possibility. I feel that many songs from NFR must have had a sort of «pause» in-between sessions, which could let them «breathe» a little, before finalizing them.
