Bartender has a rich piano melody, I love the lyrics, but it’s an album track that I don’t have on repeat.I do the same with LMLYLAW : it’s cute, I like it in the context of the album, but I don’t repeat it.

I think the mistake, with that track, was to make it the lead single. It’s not a bad track, it’s cute, the lyrics are nice and there’s an undeniable warmth to it that I like from the guitars. But it shouldn’t have been a single, just like Bartender wasn’t. we had like 4 months to overplay it (at least me ) before the COCC title track. Im glad that Tunnel’s singles are already more « interesting »

Im a bit disappointed that this drop didn’t include the new vinyl cover All of those merch are pretty but I never really considered buying any TBH. There’s the digital copy of the album that is tempting, But it says that you need to be a US citizen (and I’m Canadian) and I’m afraid the March 10 download date is just the old date that wasn’t changed

Pop_leaks, on their Insta stories, said Lana would release a new single on album release. I take that info as an educated guess rather than real insider tea. Either way, it’s not anything special (unless there’s a MV attached to it )

ocean Blvd is shaping up to do that for me also. Plus there seems to be A LOT to process with this one… Norman was the last big era from her that I couldn’t listen to anything else for months…

Im on team « music first » with her Tour, MV and such are cute and nice bonuses, but if we have to choose between new music and some kind of promo, I choose music 💯. (LFL era, when LB wanted the Cherry MV so bad, I was like , let her record and prepare the next era)

She really isn’t lucky with her releases. As long as Interscope doesn’t want a number one album and realizes she is a doing super well over time and has steady streams, we’ll be fine. The music industry has been on steroids since 2022 (probably to make up for the lack of touring revenus) and to have a week with just one major release is more and more difficult / impossible.

For real though the tracks don’t have a name anymore (since Saturday) in my Apple Music library for this album, except for the title track. It’s kinda weird to see A&W titled « track 4 » when I listen to it…

Same! Might be unpopular here, but the strings opening Ocean Blvd are just so incredible… Same with the piano in the second verse.

I kinda hope she does like she did with this album: a nice interview and photoshoot. As long as she doesn’t do an Insta post with a BS date, I’ll be happy I guess. (I do wonder where she’s at with her cover album)
