  1. I just wanna say if you don’t like Yosemite then 1. You know nothing about good songwriting/poetry 2. And you don’t have taste
  2. who else LOVES that shes actually using her speaking voice and you can hear her EMOTE instead of her marilyn monroe slow hollywood talk she tried so hard to do for so long. the facade has been wearing on her and I bet it felt refreshing for her to speak in her own voice
  3. lana has A LOT of feelings about being famous!!!!!!!! anyway, this solidifies her as a true artist. I have never seen her be this raw or vulnerable. she is paradise.
  4. y'all are right I didnt read the order!!
  5. i'm pretty sure she says gabapentin! a medication prescribed for anxiety (among other things( !! I take it too, it can also make you drowsy which makes sense with what she says
  6. lana quoting all sorts of reasons why she dyes her hair black, is it because of the blonde icons or cause of your man?!!! what is the truth?!!!
  7. She said NO HOLDS BARRED, IVE BEEN SENT TO DESTROY !!!!
  8. Personally, I think if society thinks lana is moving us backwards by speaking her truth as a woman who happens to be submissive and is maybe okay with taking on a more passive role in relationships, then I think the problem lies with society. Only celebrating strong empowered women in the media sounds like bottled marketed feminism to me. Women should be able to be as dominant or as submissive as they want. That’s my take on Lana re: feminism, I always found it confusing that she doesn’t identify with the movement when feminism is all about embracing all kinds of women, and celebrating their differences and similarities. She’s obviously preaching for a whole genre of women that are like her and are put down for feeling too much, being passive, etc. I think that’s pretty feminist of her imo.
  9. Love her message, love her biting back at the media, love her making art and releasing it, love her fire coming out again. But the way she phrased her post makes it too easy to misinterpret her. To me, she’s asking if now that it’s normal and celebrated to make songs about sex, being sexual, taking agency over your body, etc, if she can go back to writing about more raunchier topics without being dragged by the critics. She is not saying women should be judged for writing about those things, she is just pointing out how her lyrics get put down as non feminist just because she’s being more submissive to men in her sexual scenarios, as opposed to being more dominant and in power. She’s wondering if feminism has a space for women like her, who love hard and fall hard and will do anything for her man. She’s not dragging other women, She just wants the freedom to sing about what she wants without being seen as weak or like someone who is against women’s rights. Wish she would have phrased it better but what can you do. She’s never been the best at explaining herself, i think that’s why she makes such good art. It’s the only way she knows how to get her words across.
