It's not about the voice but the singing style + Caroline produces her music as well, it's hard to not see her as a Caroline project lol Still, I'm very curious about her debut album.

This. Her Crystal Castles music was either great or ok-ish. Her solo music has been very OK since her debut solo EP. I feel like artists like Yeule (in her latest album) is doing what Alice Glass kinda intended to do and failed. Alice Glass needs to let the past go and find her own sound and style and not trying to emulate what she did on CC. Her music from her debut EP and her debut album are very similar, zero artistic growth. She's making music that she would probably release back in the early to mid 10s. I get it, CC was pretty big when she was the vocalist, but as a solo artist she is no one and she needs to work very hard to get to the label of artists like Grimes (which actually has a proper style and artistry sans her latest singles). Poor Alice, I'm rooting for her, she went through a lot and deserves success and happiness. But clearly she is not over yet and she is still trying to be relevant through her victimhood (Björk taught me that word today lol). But yeah, I really think Grimes is a shitty person and a bully with power, she got so much money and power because of Elon. She changed so quick and so badly.

It would have been a decent hit if it was on that soundtrack. A huge missed opportunity.

To me is her best single to date. The most alternative and experimental she has went, I need an album full of music like that.

"Allow" is the perfect example that (with it having the exact same sound as most of Utopia's songs) the production nor the flutes are to blame but the awful mixing and mastering of Utopia (album). Fossora mastering and mixing is so on par with most of her best albums technically speaking.

I fucking hate Grimes attitude, she became so awful to stand in the last years. It's a shame I really like her music so much.

She really wasted almost 10 years. Let's remember all the times she said the album was "ready but they don't allow her to release it". Can someone confront her and read to her her own words verbatim with photo proofs? Sorry girls and gays, but Don't Forget was another false start.

Honestly, we all had enough but everytime we say that she comes through with a glimmer of hope. And there we go stanning for her. It's quite dumb that a musician takes this long to create something. It's not like she's doing the whole thing by herself. She is not a solo writer She is not a solo producer. But oh well, herself and most fans will defend the wait and say the same tiring excuse: "it's Capitol's fault". When we all know that she has not finished the album and she has never had a "finalized thing" all these years as she kept saying ("The music is done but they won't let me release it").

Some countries have the title track in its original version with the GMO guy vocals at the end of the song. Tbh I'm pretty happy they took him out, the Björk only version is immaculate.

Fossora is a mix of Post and Utopia. Wow. Impressed.
