They just felt so much more like Midnights songs than 1989 for me

I've always considered Lover and Midnights to be sister records but they both feel so bloated and so I've condensed them into a Side A and Side B... Both records explore the same romantic relationship but from different angles as well as personal insecurities and I think this really works as a Ying and Yang kinda situation? Side A - Lover Side B - Midnights

Camila Cabello - C, XOXO: Magic City Edition

She should've just went for the acoustic album, played into the whole "being a mom" thing. Give us some more songs like I'm Still Breathing, Daisies and Thinking Of You! Even her cover of Hackensack was amazing! Kinda sad she thought the only way she would be successful was to artistically retreat back to the black hair/pin up aesthetic. And then the ludicrous decision to work with THAT producer in hopes of regaining past glories. I really don't know where she would go from here and thanks to this era's antics, I frankly don't care or empathise for her.

Were you here for the Norman Rockwell era? Nothing about a Lana album rollout makes sense haha

Katy Perry - PLAY: The Hits In an alternate reality, Katy would've wrapped up the Las Vegas residency, dropped a greatest hits record and announced a world tour. Whilst on tour she'd be working on the new album (without the involvement of a certain producer).

Why are we so against the idea of this being a Lasso pre-order? We literally got Ocean Blvd single and pre-order on the same day with a very minimal tease on some random red carpet a few days before. I'm keeping my hopes up

I honestly love this whole package, the visuals feel like such classic LDR (like a country National Anthem). But also don't seem too far out of line with her more recent videos like Chemtrails. I love the return of hip hop influences and her baby voice at the end. It feels so classic but so authentic too. Really excited for Lasso! She seems really into it too, like she actually wants to make visuals etc again.

Lasso is still coming! This happens every time, probably why the Ocean Blvd announcement was so last minute and was meant to be a surprise. But this album has been in the works for several years whilst she was making the other records, we've just had Coachella and they did the Lana Del Rey cow girl stickers with lasso's! It's a tough year, there's a lot of big releases coming. She's signed to a major label that just dropped the Billie Eilish album. They'll have a tonne of releases lined up and I imagine we'll get quite a short release period like Honeymoon or Ocean Blvd so that she can get some hype, sell multiple variants and grab that #1 spot (at least in the UK). I think September is still realistic, even if that means we get a single end of this month or early July. The last era has everything drop at once, so it's not like we're expecting lots of buzz singles etc. Unless it's a case of how much success she's gained this past year and potentially her team are shuffling dates around to give us more of an era or they're holding back announcing to avoid a delay this time around? But I really don't see why she'd announce an album at an awards show for it to then be shelved. I know she's been chaotic in the past but we know an album exists, she teased Henry, Come On and we've got Tough coming at some point with a music video so things are definitely happening!

01. HIT ME HARD AND SOFT 02. Happier Than Ever 03. don't smile at me 04. WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP... By no means are any of her albums bad! Like the EP and debut are still both incredible projects but she's grown so much as a person and an artist with everything post-Happier Than Ever!

I'm loving the Billie record and would love her to get to #01 on the charts with it! Fingers crossed, cos she deserves it. But anyways, here's my top 3 Taylor albums at the minute: 01. Red 02. evermore 03. The Tortured Poets Department
