  1. I kinda interpreted it as she is the Candy Necklace, all these Hollywood starlets who she's looked up to, referenced and idolised throughout her career are the diamond necklaces? It's kinda like she wanted to be those women, it was her dream, but now she's satisfied as a Candy Necklace, it's not materialistic, no body desires a Candy Necklace. She doesn't want people to feel the way she did and need to be inspired by these women, losing themselves in a character, for her that's Lana Del Rey and what her career began as? She wasn't want or need to be a diamond necklace anymore. I think we've seen her be less glamorous and cinematic in her last couple of eras throughout the visuals and she seems genuinely happy! The video is set in New York throughout (in black and white) and yet it ends in colour in Hollywood, her home now I guess and she's smiling without a necklace. Feels like another reference to an unhappy personal life in her early career compared to now? The Hollywood star scene feels like a moment, her way of calling out the critics? How she doesn't get the acclaim and respect she deserves as an artist.

  3. I just think her or her team have missed the opportunity already? I would fully support an unreleased record, if it was material from the archives that we'd never heard! However I just think if they were planning to release leaks something would've been done for the 10th anniversary of Born To Die in 2022? Of course I love a lot of her leaked material but it's there, it's accessible, unless it was re-recorded or had new production elements (like Thunder or If You Lie Down With Me) then I don't really see a point? Say Yes To Heaven was a missed opportunity, which kinda proves if this unreleased album is a thing then they aren't doing it for the streams or money, otherwise they would've been dropping these singles as they were trending on tiktok etc. In a dream world it's something that Lana would fully commit to in the future (like what Madonna is allegedly doing with her back catalogue), giving us an archive from each of her projects with demos, alternate mixes, never heard before tracks and final masters of the leaks! Package that with some unseen imagery from the album shoots and I'd buy every single one! But judging by the way the Blue Banisters tracks were handled it's gonna be a YouTube to MP3 affair with fan voted top 10 leaks... And I just don't know if her artistry needs to go from albums like NFR! or Ocean Blvd to a compilation of Serial Killer's and Dum Dum's?
  4. I personally don't think an unreleased album would benefit her discography unless it was material that we've never heard before? They had the opportunity to start something with the 10th anniversary of Born To Die... A "from the vault" situation if you like where they released the final versions of some of the leaks we have from that era, fan favourites or songs Lana loves! And this could've been continued throughout the decade anniversaries of each album. I'd take a full release of AKA as it is or re-recorded as I do love that project. But yeah I don't see the appeal of that will likely be a compilation of YouTube rips with no real concept or cohesion.

    Tove Lo

I compiled the new EP with some other acoustic versions and it's a pretty cool album: 01. Borderline - stripped in Brazil 02. Call On Me - stripped at SG's 03. Sweettalk My Heart - live at VEVO 04. Suburbia - stripped in UK 05. Pineapple Slice - stripped in Norway 06. Grapefruit - stripped at home 07. How Long - stripped at home 08. Dancing On My Own - triple j Like A Version 09. No One Dies From Love - stripped in France 10. Habits (Stay High) - stripped in France
  6. Miley Cyrus - Endless Summer Vacation This one has been bothering me for a while, Handstand felt like such an obvious opener! I also didn't enjoy the AM and PM concept... Muddy Feet should've been solo and longer! And Island, I love the verses and pre-chorus in all its Careless Whisper glory, but the chorus is dull and gets a bit boring towards the end. Cutting it to 10 tracks and this is a really solid effort.
  7. Finally feel like I've gotten this to a place I'm extremely happy with! Also, condensing this album down really does make it her strongest and most interesting alongside Ultraviolence and NFR! Lana Del Rey - Did You Know That There's A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd?
  8. I guess this could kinda work, I feel like we don't have enough of the original material to form a full project?
  9. Ellie Goulding - Higher Than Heaven Deluxe:
  10. Send those photos to the store you ordered from and they should replace them!
  11. 01. Fishtail 02. Candy Necklace (ft. Jon Batiste) 03. Paris, Texas (ft. SYML) 04. A&W 05. Did You Know That There's A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd? 06. Let The Light In (ft. Father John Misty) 07. Taco Truck x VB 08. Peppers (ft. Tommy Genesis) 09. Grandfather Please Stand On The Shoulders Of My Father While He's Deep-Sea Fishing 10. The Grants 11. Kintsugi 12. Margaret (ft. Bleachers) 13. Fingertips 14. Sweet
  12. I have made myself a little Tropico playlist that I enjoy and does work well as a body of work between Paradise and Ultraviolence. Tropico: Otherwise I just have it all categorised as a b-sides album. Ultraviolence - Side B:
  13. Is it just me that feels like the next record might be more upbeat and fun? Look at Lust For Life, Change and Get Free were great indicators of what was to come on NFR! Then with NFR!... hope is a dangerous thing kinda hinted at Chemtrails being much more stripped back. Then I feel like Dance Till We Die and For Free were good indicators of what Blue Banisters would sound like sonically? And again, Sweet Carolina lyrically set us up for Ocean Blvd in my opinion. Which means LDR10 is gonna be influenced by Peppers and Taco Truck x VB!
  14. I think it could be Nectar Of The Gods!
  15. There's a thread called LDR Album Process Discussion which explains the background of Tropico.
  16. There's just something about her earlier vocals that get me every time. These new leaks from whatever the Tropico era is has really made me thirsty for that again! And I love all of her albums... But the way Born To Die into Paradise, her voice was such a rush, thrilling, it really captured this essence of being young, stupid and wildly in love. There's a naivete to her voice but there's so much passion and desire when she sings these songs. Then Ultraviolence into Honeymoon, her vocals really fuck me up. It's insane. The way she manages to sound hopeless yet hopeful at the same time. She sounds physically and emotionally exhausted, she knows it's the end of the relationship, she's tired and heartbroken to a point where vocally there seems to be some relief? Like a weight has been lifted. But then there's always a glimmer of hope, a bit of desperation to keep it going and to make it work. It's a complete rush but in a total different way to the Born To Die era. The Tropico era seemed very spiritual (and I know she described it that way back in 2013). But for real, there's such an ethereal feel to most of these songs, like they were never supposed to be heard anyways. And the stripped back production of this time is something I'd love to hear again from her. The guitar is insane and really works for her! And as much as I love the records that preceded this era and followed, it's nice to have a moment which feels intimate and almost like if Born To Die was the thrill and rush of a bad relationship, Ultraviolence and Honeymoon was the lows and aftermath; Tropico feels like the lying in bed alone whilst awake at 3am looking for answers? I've honestly never experienced the way I feel when listening to her music with any other artist, especially the first few records, it's like sour candy, you're drawn in by the sweetness and even though you know it's bitter you're still not ready for how bitter it can be? And you still crave more!
  17. Unsure how to organise my TROPICO album, any help with the following songs would be appreciated! 01. Angels Forever, Forever Angels 02. Black Beauty (demo) 03. Cherry Blossom 04. Dragonslayer 05. Earthquakes 06. I Talk To Jesus 07. Lake Placid 08. Living Legend 09. Nectar Of The Gods 10. Pink Champagne 11. Say Yes To Heaven 12. Unidentified Flying Bill 13. Wild One 14. Summer Wine [Bonus]
  18. Lana Del Rey - Did You Know That There's A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd?
  19. Can anybody create an album cover using the nude photo but add the original title "Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd Pearl Watch Me on Ring a Bell Psycho Lifeguard"?
  20. Hey! I ordered from Vinilo too, I had an email today to say my vinyl had been dispatched... But it was in my junk mail. Hope you get your vinyl soon!
  21. Also going off of this theory, the alt artwork CDs all have a close up of the album shot as the inlay. Except the store exclusive black and white cover, that has a close up of the nude shot as the inlay. Guessing she just swapped it last minute after not feeling comfortable?
  22. I don't think we're getting the nude album cover, I'm guessing the mock-up she shared was for a store exclusive vinyl. The store exclusive white vinyl is exactly the same as the nude mock-up... Obviously with a different album cover but she did say she wasn't keen on putting that one out.
