    The opening verses of Tumor and just the beginning of Tumor in general sound messy and unfinished. Hello's reproduction is just not what I was hoping for especially because I love the demo so much. Also who the hell is Michael Wise? Kill him for ruining my fave track But despite the minor flaws, I am very impressed with everything as a whole. Especially Sanctuary, Good, Catch and Prime obviously. Now to play these tracks on repeat for a week and wait for my physical

    I'm finding myself really enjoying this new Hello. EDIT: I JUST REALIZED THEY LEFT THE "LIIIIIFE" HARMONY FROM THE DEMO IN THE BRIDGE, WHERE THE LYRIC "IT WAS THE FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF MY LIFE" ISN'T EVEN THERE ANYMORE

    Sanctuary was SO good until they just fucking copied and pasted the chorus after the sonic change of the bridge. Absolute buzzkill. 
     
    There is WAY too long of a gap between the first verse and chorus of Tumor, and then the vocals at the end are just kinda unfitting. 
     
    Good is nice. Really not a fan of the Bitch-style adlibbed "GOOD!".

    Here's my theory:
     
    Okay. Back in 2009, at the same time they recorded "Heavy Hitter," Lana worked on a very rough demo of a song tentatively called "Hawaiian Tropic." However, they never finished it, and she took some ideas and lyrical themes from that unfinished track and instead used them in conjunction with her old demo "1949," and came out with THIS MASTERPIECE. It's like the happy sister song to the slow version of "Hundred Dollar Bill," and hey! Look at the RUBY TUESDAY reference. Hmmmmmm?

    I'm with you both, but this was a nice surprise despite previous anticipations. 1949, DM, HT, and EMGHS are like this one huge entity, and it's so interesting.

    Yes! Totally agreed with her on it. One of the things I love about her is that she isn't afraid to speak up about things (the Woody Allen stuff, the fact she explicitly calls herself a feminist), whereas a lot of artists tend to shy away from talking about "problematic" issues. God bless Marina.

    girl is getting her album out in half the time it takes other artists of her level
     
    kind of funny since I think she's on Interscope and they're all about the hits, yet OctaHate is picking up slowly on radio and they aren't promoting it. pls don't be delayed pls don't be delayed
