It has to be more than 11 if she’s releasing three songs at once, unless we’re not getting anything else after that -

Does anyone know who Gabriel Edward Simon is? When I searched on Google, I found a guy named Edward Simon who’s a jazz musician (that would be an absolute win) but I’m scared it might not be the same person -
It wasn’t so much for the strings, which most people enjoy, but for the piano, which seems to annoy most people here
-
Maybe because she told him not to go too hard with NFR so he didn’t really know what to do when it came to the final production of Chemtrails since we were in lockdown and they couldn’t see each other IRL? ;-;

Honestly after hearing what Jack did for St. Vincent’s new album, it really makes me believe more than ever that he never was the problem, Lana was. I mean, NFR and Chemtrails are my favourite albums she’s done, but I know it’s not the case for a lot of people here, and always putting the blame on Jack is unfair. If he can produce something like Daddy’s Home, then it’s Lana’s vision that y’all don’t like. And I don’t really think changing producers will do much. Didn’t Mike himself say that BB was gonna be piano and strings? So basically, what you guys have been disliking on NFR and Chemtrails. If artistically, Lana’s been going ways y’all don’t like, don’t put the blame on the producers, they just do what they’re asked to. Rick produced HM which is seen as a masterpiece by many, but he also produced LFL which is often seen as her worst album. It all depends on the vision the artist has. If Lana’s artistic vision didn’t change much from NFR and Chemtrails, y’all won’t like BB, even with Mike as a producer -

I don’t know if someone already said it but it actually makes sense for BB (the song) to be released in May, because the snippet we have starts with "Said he'd come back every May". If she’s talking about someone in particular and that line holds some truth, May is the perfect month for this song edit: dk what happened with the size of half of this post, sorry about it -

I don’t really know why but Blue Banisters might be my favourite title she ever gave to an album. It sounds really pleasant to the ear -

Her revenge is probably making music that reflects her most vulnerable side without giving a damn about how the media may paint her as a fragile woman who sings about abusive relationships -

To me, the production screams Jack though. Maybe I’m wrong, it’s kinda hard to tell just from a snippet, but it’s totally Jack’s style -

The fact that we’re getting a high budget music video makes me think that the cover she shared isn’t the real one but just a placeholder -

The snippet sounds gorgeous, and the lyrics are so striking... I can’t wait to listen to the full song!! However, I feel sorry for most people on LB because it was clearly produced by Jack and almost everyone here seemed to have enough of him... -

Didn’t she say to a fan she met a few weeks ago that RCS was produced by Jack? Maybe there’ll be a few songs produced by Mike Dean too, I just hope it won’t sound too much like what he did with Travis or Abel. I know this is a super unpopular option so please don’t kill me, but I really don’t like Abel’s music... -

I haven’t been here for a while because I was too busy writing my thesis, and the day I come back, she announces Blue Banisters. What in the world... -

I mean, when she first posted about the track, I thought to myself that it was a real shame that it was left on the cutting floor. The melody is gorgeous, and even in the case that the song is only an intro and we’ve heard the entire thing already, I’d die for a proper studio version with a finished production. I couldn’t stop replaying the snippet in 2017. And the fact that she posted a video of her listening to the song back in November of 2017 gives me hope that she’ll actually release it one day -

I think now that we have NFR and COTCC which are everything I wanted from Lana, I’d take pretty much anything from her. The only thing I wouldn’t want is the type of songs she was making around 2010 and 2011 when she was still figuring out BTD’s sound. Too poppy and kinda ridiculous (JUST MY OPINION DON’T ROAST ME). But if I had one wish, it’d be for a jazz album -

I can definitely imagine Cherry Blossom’s bridge being reworked into an explosive rock bridge. And the rest of the song would be piano + strings like NFR, or something even more orchestral. -

Either it’s just a reference to Cherry Blossom, or she rewrote parts of it, because "Angelina" was originally not in the song -

She wants revenge, I don’t think she has lilacs in her mind anymore -

BUS is kind of a country song, but to me, it also has an underground rock vibe, and I’d love to have more of this type of songs from Lana! I usually don’t really like country music, but Lana approches it in a way that makes it sound different, maybe more accessible, and of course there’s always this rich and deep melancholy surrounding her music. -

I’m happy for new music but I honestly wish it wasn’t so soon. She’s gonna release a new album only a month and a half after Chemtrails, and I really wanted to take time to enjoy it. Norman came out two years ago and I’m still not over how brilliant it is, how am I supposed to digest Chemtrails in a month and a half?
