  1. I haven’t really followed (as always ) so can someone recap what BOZ said please? There are 6 outtakes on BB, and the album is 11 tracks long?
  2. I believe Lorde’s album was only available in a store that didn’t know it wasn’t out yet, and only a few fans were able to buy the album before it got removed from the shelves. And they promised they wouldn’t leak it to do no harm. On the other hand, when Lana’s albums are sold in stores before the official release date, fans don’t hesitate to leak them all over the internet. I guess fans are part of the problem, the fault isn’t entirely theirs, but Lorde’s fans are more respectful towards her music than Lana’s
  3. TB and WW both sound like openers to me. WW’s piano would be a perfect intro, with Lana introducing us to the album with “here’s the deal”. But TB reminds me of Cruel World, with quiet verses but a more explosive chorus and a pretty dope outro
  4. I don’t wanna double post but I gave a short argument on why it’s the perfect song to be the title track on page 1419. Basically, the song portrays the pain, the sadness, the doubt, how hard it is to let go, and ultimately the healing thanks to the support of her friends and relatives. These are all the themes that will most likely be explored in the album. Her talking about her friends and family in her music is the logical continuation of Chemtrails, and there’s an emphasis on how much they help her to rebuild herself, changing the colour of her world after it being blue for so many years. It’s one of the most important tracks she’s ever released lyrically, like hope is a dangerous thing. That’s also why I personally believe that BB will be the last song on the album, but we’ll see when Lana reveals the tracklist.
  5. I honestly don’t want her to change the album title, BB is the perfect track to be the title track. It’s about healing, moving on, enjoying the people around us. The title is poetic, weird, abrupt (why choose something as simple as banisters and give them so much meaning by painting them blue/green/gray?). If there are still revenge tracks left on the album, BB could also be a great metaphor of moving on from the hate she received too, not only from the pain of a breakup
  6. Lana has released all of her albums on Fridays, which is a standard. It’s for the charts
  7. The album would be released on a Tuesday? Weird… I doubt her label would let her do that, but only time will tell
  8. What’s the November date everyone was talking about a few pages ago? There were so many new posts that I probably missed some, we weren’t used to that kind of affluence anymore haha
  9. Actually I think the outro is the best part of the song, the part where she sings that there’s a baby on the way honestly makes me cry sometimes Maybe it’s just a really personal feeling because I got dumped a few months ago and one of my close relatives is gonna have a baby soon, so I connect with the song on a very deep level lol
  10. She has to make a jazz album, she HAS to! I don’t expect BB to be jazzy, but it’s definitely something she could be leaning on in the future. And it would be an amazing surprised if BB turned out to have jazzy tracks! Imagine all the jazzy breakup songs she could write now that her and Chase are over… Jazz would compliment this album so well, especially with tracks such as Text Book or the title track
  11. And what most people seem to forget is that only now Lana is in full control of the production on her albums. Back to the BTD and UV eras, she didn’t have as much control on her music as she has now. People seem to forget that she never liked This Is What Makes Us Girls’ final production, and she did quite a few demos before that. She had to release something she didn’t like. And for UV, she was often fighting with Dan on the production. If she had had a bigger hand on the production, BTD and UV would’ve probably sounded much different. And you’re totally right, NFR and Chemtrails aren’t even similar, apart from the fact that we can tell Jack was the producer, but just like we can tell that Rick worked on HM and LFL :/
  12. Didn’t the snippet sound like it’s Gabe Simon? Can’t really remember, I’ve only heard it once, but I think I the production felt like him
  13. I’d say about the same as LFL, considering she released 3 singles at the same time, will soon release another one, and we already know Thunder and CB. That’ll make 6 known tracks before the album (for most fans of course, because not every casual listener knows about her leaked songs) so I expect a long one, with at least as many tracks as NFR had
  14. Some people would love a 20 tracks album with, let’s say, 5 different unreleased songs, but is it really necessary? 15/16 tracks is more than enough for one album. If we want a cohesive album without some of the track sounding the same, less if better. And out of 16 tracks, I’d rather have new material than previously unreleased songs that have been leaked for years. Knowing we will get Thunder and Cherry Blossom on BB, we really don’t need more leaked songs on it. Dealer is fine because we’ve never heard it, but if Lana wants to release more leaked songs, she should just drop an album full of them as a little gift for the fans in between two bigger projects.
  15. Why do you guys want so many leaked songs on the album when we could have new songs instead Thunder and Cherry Blossom are enough already leaked songs for one album
  16. because for the 1000th time, Lana co-produces everything and she’s the one deciding what everything must sound like, Jack’s only doing what she wants
  17. He could, she just doesn’t want to, at the end of the day she’s also producing every record and is the one deciding
  18. Lorde said that they made Stoned 6 months after the Melodrama world tour ended (it ended in November of 2018, so it leads us to May 2019) and Lana posted a pic of her WAH necklace on July 31 2019, which we can assume wasn’t too long ago after she wrote the track (always thought it was August but apparently it was July, my bad)
  19. Personally I really don’t see it, I’ve been playing Stoned a lot and I still can’t see any resemblance with hope And the reason why I’m almost sure Lorde and Lana both know about the sample is because not only the choruses of both songs share the same chord progression, they also share the same melody (different melodies can be sung over a single chord progression, but WAH and Stoned share the same for a few seconds). Stoned was the very first song Lorde wrote for her new record, and I believe that back then, she didn’t know if she would end up releasing it, so I guess it wasn’t that big of a problem that Lana sampled it. Especially when Lana’s notoriously known for having thousands of unreleased songs (she could’ve decided to not release WAH too). People are complaining about the sample because both WAH and Stoned ended up getting released, but there are probably a lot of unreleased tracks that sample already released ones and we just don’t know about them
  20. What’s funny is that everyone thinks he sampled WAH for Lorde’s new song, but that’s actually the opposite, he sampled Stoned for WAH. Stoned was made in May of 2019 and WAH around August. Which actually makes more sense, because WAH already sampled HTD. I wouldn’t be surprised if both Lana and Lorde knew about the sample and didn’t mind.
  21. To me, BB is in the same vein as hope, it’s her little sister. Both tracks talk about the sadness Lana has experienced and how much it has affected her, but both end on a hopeful note. BB really should be closing the album. On a side note, I never knew I could cry so much over green and gray banisters. Lana, what did you do to me
  22. Tbh I think they’re just waiting before releasing anything, because at the end of the day, charts matter. COTCC was only released five months ago, and it did really well thanks to the amount of physical copies sold. Even if they seem to let Lana do whatever she wants in terms of music, I doubt Interscope would let her release an album without any physical copies, and so early after COTCC. Lana may not give a damn about the charts, but Interscope certainly does and it’s always been that way. Even with the minimal promotion that COTCC received, they did everything to ensure Lana would sell a lot. We’ll probably get the album this autumn, so that Lana has enough time to finish it and every physical format can be printed.
  23. Thunder wasn’t meant for LFL but it was recorded in the summer of 2017 for a side project so as it is now, I guess we could consider it being an outtake from the LFL era
  24. I’ve been listening to Cherry Blossom quite a lot lately and I really want Lana to rework it with strings, re-record it and release it at some point… Whether it’s for BB or not, she cannot leave such a beautiful song unreleased
