So it was confirmed that the album has 15 tracks? Wow! I’m usually not too fond of long albums, but considering the fact that we will already know four songs by the time Arcadia is out + Thunder, Cherry Blossom and even possibly more unreleased, a long album is welcome! We’ll still have around 7 to 9 unknown songs to discover when the album comes out.

Yeah but putting 6 unreleased on an album isn’t the same as putting one or two, and it’d be quite weird to see her release the album of unreleased songs at the same time as BB. If both albums are gonna be released at the same time, and if the six unreleased she chose for BB help her tell her story, why not keep them for the album of unreleased and use new songs for the new album instead? That’s why I don’t think the supposedly second album is going to be released at the same time, or if it is, I don’t think it’s gonna be the unreleased one

What intrigues me the most is, are we gonna get two albums at the same time? Or is she going to release BB and then later this year the supposedly second album? It’d be kinda weird to get, let’s say, BB and the album of unreleased at the same time, especially when BB already contains 6 unreleased (why use these ones instead of freshly written ones and put out another album of unreleased songs the same time?)

She posted an Instagram video of her listening to RBFY in November of 2017, so out of all the LFL outtakes we know, I believe this one definitely has a higher chance of being released one day

My aunt’s baby is due in November, so I’d literally die of happiness is the album was also coming in November! Because of the lyrics, the title track has become one of my favourite songs ever, and it’d be so meaningful to me if the album came out around the same time my aunt gives birth.

Did an insider say anything about it? I missed a lot of pages today so it’d be nice if you could tell me more about it

Just remembered that BPBP was originally written and recorded in 2014, and it made me think about how Lana could’ve rewritten some of the old unreleased songs that are gonna be on BB! It’s not a possibility to exclude, even if there will be old songs we already know, they might have been rewritten to fit BB better, like BPBP was changed to fit LFL better

I think Eclipse said it was only a rumour and that the album was never meant to be called BAR, but someone else might have a more accurate answer

I believe that TNBAR was on the LFL tracklist until it leaked, Lana had even filmed a high budget video for it, which was later reused for White Mustang… The song was entirely done, it was kinda scrapped at the last minute. Then she rewrote the chorus in 2017, probably around the same time she thought about releasing a collection of her favourite unreleased songs, but the production basically stayed the same. She knew she wanted to use it for something after she scrapped it from LFL, and she liked the production enough as it was to not rework it. The unreleased songs we’re getting on BB are most likely from the 2013-2014 era (but maybe we’ll get more LFL unreleased, who knows), so there’s a higher chance of them being reworked or at least the production being changed a bit and polished. Some might have never been finished when Lana decided to scrap them, a lot of unreleased are probably just demos. And we don’t know yet which unreleased are gonna be on the album, we just know that Thunder and Cherry Blossom are part of the tracklist. It is speculated by many fans that Dealer finally found a home, but we won’t know for sure until Lana reveals the tracklist

It hasn’t leaked, but it was just supposed to be an intro to the LFL album, so there probably isn’t much more to the song than what we already know

Has anyone thought about the possibility of RBFY being one of the unreleased tracks on the album? Even if it’s a short track, it could still fit in. I could see it being the track before Cherry Blossom, as a sort of interlude before the end of the album. I’ve said it before but I think having CB and BB as the last two tracks on the record would be really beautiful and meaningful. Since there’s apparently a lot of piano on the album, I’d love to see RBFY on it. It’s one of my favourite unreleased songs ever. And it could possibly be reworked into a longer song, maybe not into a 5 minute track, but a 2-3 minute long interlude would be really cute

Not that it really matters, but I wonder how well the album will be received by reviewers. The three singles that were released in May set the bar pretty high already. Thunder is the kind of song critics will love if they loved the vibe of NFR, and CB is one of Lana’s most touching songs ever. I’m a bit worried critics will call her lazy for including six previously unreleased tracks on her new album, but it’d be unfair, they’re supposed to judge the quality of the music, not how many old songs have been recycled for the album. I feel like Lana’s motivations and the direction she wants to take were pretty well understood with the release of Chemtrails, so I don’t see why the album wouldn’t be critically acclaimed unless the rest of the tracks we don’t know about yet don’t live up to what we’ve heard already

Yeah it makes a lot of sense as the closer thematically, and even sonically, because it starts too abruptly to be one of the first songs on the album. But it wasn’t really confirmed, right?

Cherry Blossom transitions pretty well into Blue Banisters, I can definitely see them closing the album

Why in the world would I Can Fly ever be considered for BB?? It’s a song that was officially released in 2014 and that’s part of a soundtrack album already, it has no reason whatsoever to be included on her new album. I really hope this one stayed in the drafts

Would love if one of the unreleased songs turned out to be Loved You Then And Now, which was originally planed for Chemtrails and then thought of for BB a few months ago but was scrapped a second time (she could’ve changed her mind). The title is beautiful and it seems like an interesting song

I don’t think she lost her creativity, she scrapped a lot of songs from the album already, after all. Which means she wrote a lot for this record. But I guess she’s having a hard time deciding which songs are gonna make the final cut :/ The tracklist seems to change every month

And she probably rewrote most of the lyrics, she probably just kept bits of it like bits of melodies she already had. Probably not the orignal chords though, since Jack and her are the only people credited for the writing of this song

Or they can be equally good because she can choose some of her best unreleased and COTCC is an underrated laid-back masterpiece

Yes, I’m pretty sure (and I hope) she re-recorded the older ones. She was always insecure about her vocals, and her voice is much better and stronger now, Lana’s not as shaky as before, and she’s a perfectionist so I believe she could’ve re-recorded the old songs that are gonna be on the album to have a vocal delivery she’d really be satisfied with. There are things she couldn’t really do properly before and that she now nails, like belting, so if there are any old vocals she wasn’t satisfied with, the chances of her re-recording them are pretty likely

Lana’s voice hasn’t changed too much since 2016, so it wasn’t really noticeable with Yosemite on Chemtrails, but her tone was kinda changing a lot every year before 2015, her old vocals sounded way different than her current tone and I agree that it would be really weird to have songs like the original Cherry Blossom recorded in 2013 on a 2021 album. Just like with Yosemite, it wouldn’t really be noticeable with songs like Thunder that were recorded more "recently"

True, but she knows they’ve leaked, that’s why she should just keep them for the unreleased collection. I don’t mind her putting leaked songs on an album (i was totally fine and very happy when we learned that Thunder and CB were gonna be on BB). I just think 6 we’ve heard is too much for a *new* album. Again, I wouldn’t mind if it was on the unreleased collection she talked about in 2017, on the contrary, I’d be pretty happy if she finally officially released good mixes of previously leaked songs. But since it’s been said we’re not sure whether they’re leaked or just unreleased songs/outtakes, it’d be very stupid to worry about what’s gonna end up on the album

Thank you so much! I just posted that I think it’d be pretty sad if they were 6 songs we already heard because they were leaked, but apparently we don’t really know if they were really leaked or just unreleased so I guess we’ll have to wait and see, unless BOZ clarifies what he really meant

Why though… We’ll know so much of the album when it’s released Why doesn’t she simply release the unreleased collection she talked about in 2017? I’m not against Lana putting previously unreleased and leaked tracks on her albums, I absolutely loved the inclusion of TNBAR on NFR, but 5 or 6 songs is a bit too much… I wouldn’t mind if they were tracks we’ve never heard before, but I just don’t see the point in putting 5 or 6 leaked songs on a new album instead of just keeping them on the side for the unreleased collection she’s been wanting to release for years. Unless BOZ chose his words poorly and didn’t mean leaked songs but simply unreleased ones that we’ve never heard
