So good interview! It was all about the recording process, music, her projects, plans and dreams, not about death and her sadness about the critics and what people think of her. -
Dan Auerbach Speaks About "Ultraviolence" Label Issues
Angel Forever replied to Linethic's topic in Latest News
Unfortunately record labels just care about how much it will sell. Lana has a very consistent idea of her art project, she's not a typical radio artist. And UV is a body not a bunch of singles put together. -

Official 2nd Single - Ultraviolence (Release August 18th)
Angel Forever replied to naachoboy's topic in New Releases
I read SoC was a promo single, since it wasn't sent to radio, even having a video, tho. I actually like Ultraviolence, let's hope for Source Family references ans the PWYC video too. -

As far as I know, Skid Row is also a dangerous place, so I understand "I wear my diamonds on Skid Row" like she's playing dangerous, taking risks.

Wow! Great interview. It's nice to read an interview about her music, life, opinions and projects. It's kinda common lately to have interviewers asking her those silly questions about how sad she is, how she wants to be dead... Knowing she wrote those songs so long ago makes me think that she's already writing something to Music To Watch Boys To, lmao, just kidding!

We don't have the source for this interview yet, right? St. Tropez and Hawaiian Tropic fit each other so well -

This seems like a real investigation! It may be just speculation, yes... I'll keep following this thread, because idk, there must be some connection. -

Minor General Questions that Don't Deserve Their Own Thread

My CD (BTD:TPE) has a more golden cover than the pics we see online. -
The concept of Tropico, the loss of innocence and the idea of Paradise Lost, Garden of Eden transformed into the Garden of Evil (...) is a reference to John Milton's poem "Paradise Lost". As Anthony Mandler said about the title: “The word kind of lends itself to a paradise and a paradise lost. Lana had always had it in her head as the title.”

The Source Family, Ultraviolence & Lana Del Rey
Angel Forever replied to Lanakai's topic in Lana Thoughts
So, I was doing a LOT of research (lmao) and all I could discover is that the video was recorded in Santa Clarita, CA, nothing else There's a waterfall in the beggining, maybe some canyon. Eternal Valley Memorial Park and the William S. Hart Museum in Santa Clarita have those hedges trees, but it's not the right place. In the video she stands in front of a ornamented gate, maybe some mansion/museum? And yes, she sings those verses from FMWUTTT in UV. -

The Source Family, Ultraviolence & Lana Del Rey

I thought the same. All those theories about Lana singing about old sects and occultism are so creepy, but they make sense. I had never heard of the Source Family before. It was interesting to read about it, tho. -
I always hear invincible too.
