  1. "Drinks on the patio" <33 omfg I love the way she says that.
  2. Anyone else think this is about Jimmy? I know it says Sunset and Vine which are in Cali, not in NY, but she says "The kids were young and pretty" then she says "We were young and pretty." In Ultraviolence, she blatantly sings about Jim, "Reminded me of when we were kids." Coincidence? I THINK NOT! Just an idea...
  3. Ooooh! Think about it!! "Pull my hair, push me down, knock me flat on the ground. Pull my tails, turn me round, baby, do it right now. In the dark, you can do whatever you want to, right now." Push Me Down... Maybe she's talking about it? "King, make me wanna sing, sing for them all."
  4. Doesn't she say in a song how she makes up stories about her life, anyway? I think it was in... Prom Song? If we don't think about how she makes up stories, it makes much more sense, maybe the cult leaders in this are called "daddies"? lol But seriously, it does tie things together...
  5. I love the production on BTD a lot more, but then again, you have UV with songs like FK and OM which I fell in love with. I like how Lana's voice is kind of muffled out on a couple of the songs, where it sounds kind of slurred/blurred. I honestly hated UV when I first heard WC because of how different it was and how you can't understand the bridge, but then the other songs released and the album leaked and I find that I like it a lot more than I expected myself to. Of course, BTD is a gem but UV has become one of my favorite albums and it's a diamond imo. I just love the lyrics, the raw stripped down feel of it, the cuteness of OM... Don't get my wrong, BTD was cute too with songs like DMD and Lolita, but I honestly think UV has more... more emotion and more feelings to it? Does that make any sense?
  6. I love how when she previewed the song before Cola, she sang, "It's a cruel, cruel world..." But she doesn't even say that in the song... Come on, Lana...
  7. Maybe, hypothetically, it was one of her ex's favorite colors and maybe he says that she looked good in blue and so it reminds her of him? (Thinking of Jimmy, in particular, "Jimmy pulls up in his blue Chevy Nova") She also uses "red dress" a lot, too. Maybe it's just to describe the way things were. Baby Blue might just be a shade of the color or a slight sadness, since blue means sad. Blue just might've been a color that she remembers a lot of? There's a lot of questions about her that I wish interviewers would ask, but they never do. (You can tell most of them aren't really fans...)
  8. Does anyone else not like this song as much as the other songs?
  9. My life it comprises of losses and wins and fails and falls, I can do it if you really, really like that. This line is before that one ^^
  10. I was just about to post that, too.
  11. Then why is this thread even made, it's a week away from some countries, more in others, so it shouldn't even be here.
  12. I don't think it's fair to put Is This Happiness? and Flipside on this since we haven't heard them yet...
  13. I knew about the snippets... but the post says it leaked... so Idk lol I wasn't sure.
  14. *fingers crossed that the initial versions of the album leak on your birthday*
  15. Omfg hahaha XD I forgot all about him lol it's been years... too many years... Anyway, I think this entire album is just something I'll get high to, *snickers* I feel like it's the Lana version of Trilogy by The Weeknd (which I loved...) where it's just really good sex music lmfao If nobody else agrees... BYE, FELICIA!!! lmao
  16. Hm. It's an interesting thought, I don't hear it. Of course, we haven't heard the full studio versions of the songs (keeping my fingers crossed that we get the original version of the album one day...) so maybe they do have a similarity but I just haven't been able to hear it personally. She does have a certain sound that I think a lot of us here will end up missing with this next album, which the sound was used on BTD quite a lot... She was supposed to be "changing her sound" but let's be real, it's Lana Del Rey, when does she ever change much? She's used the same lyrical structure and actually copied some of her OLD lyrics from 4 years ago and used them in recent songs so... "He hit me and it felt like a kiss" (then again, that was a song by The Crystals in the 60s, I believe...) has been used a few times by her and "meet me in the pale moonlight"/"you can find me in the pale moonlight" has been used since MMITPM in 2010... then again somewhere on BTD... So she reuses both lyrics AND melodies, I'm guessing?
  17. "I'll put you on the list." FUCK THAT DUDE! omfg I wish I could just go up to her and be all like "I wanted to kill myself and you saved me." and get in free... If only life was that simple... Seriously, though, and I know I'll get hate for this (then again, remember, I was suicidal at one point, too), don't push your hardships and your past on someone just to make them feel bad for you, that's called an attention whore... I mean, come on. "I was poor at one time." But you're not now. "My dad died when I was little." But what can she do about that? Nothing. I know people have hardships, but seriously, keep them in the past and don't try to push your PRIVATE past on people like that... #SorryNotSorry... #ShadySunday... I don't need anyone telling me this was mean or whatever because I know it is and I'm saying it, anyway. It's just the truth and someone must say it.
  18. Who knows, if she were with him for a long period of time, which we don't even know how long they were together, she could still have those feelings. Sometimes when you fall in love for the first time, you love that person for an extended period of time after you break up. It's not like "Oh, we broke up? Okay. I hate you and I don't love you anymore." Some people have issues getting over past relationships and he might still be her muse. Jimmy's written songs about her, too, so we know they were together at one time. After a new lover comes in your life, they might be okay with you still loving someone from your past, especially in this situation she's still writing songs about him. Of course, he did just tour with her, so maybe they're still close friends and she still "loves" him, but not the way lovers love, more like best friends at this point.
  19. She did say in one interview "I'm usually always singing about the same goddamn person, so... I'll love him forever, but you know, it's all good... it's all good..." So I think she was talking about Jimmy Gnecco since so many songs are usually thought to be about him.
