  1. Comment wont post when I quote you so annoying @evilentity I have never taken the time to do this not sure I ever will LOL. Have always noted who she had stuff written on her hand there before the tattoo though like J.B. (which I think you connected would have been a Jeff Buckley ref.) and an infinity sign
  2. She looks so good... imagine seeing her in central park. How could she not walk around there and not get stopped like 25 times And this trip for Jones Beach is shaping up to be the perfect set up for more sad new york nostalgia tracks
  3. It will either be 2 songs shorter or she'll play Carmen and national anthem ctfu
  4. I think Lana has always been in her own lane where he music doesn't necessarily translate that well live or in a large venue but her fanbase is so large and she can sell out larger venues. I don't think she really has the stamnia or endurance -or even the desire to maintain good level of singing for an entire show. I see no reason why she couldn't put on a great show she just needs to realise her strengths and play to those I don't think she's ever got it right
  5. Lol they are harmless and seem the most genuine of Lana's friends even if they are on the payroll
  6. she seems so excited for these shows I wish she would release a live album. I cannot wait to hear Tomorrow Never Came live!!
  7. The existence of this just entered my mind for no particular reason whatsoever It's pretty good right Anyway would have been cool if she wasn't a massive sellout and actually released music like a passionate musician after her blockbuster movie instead of touting makeup that nobody is interested in an already totally oversaturated market
  8. Honestly, I do not love this album - definitely my least favourite besides Paradise, both Honeymoon covers are her worst album covers too. I don't like the fuzz vocal reverb on songs like Religion I feel like they really hold the songs back. Freak, Art Deco, High By The Beach and Music To Watch Boys To are amongst my least favourite Lana songs ever. All the photoshoots sucked too. And she is just a dumbass for repurposing the most beautiful and fitting footage for the Ultraviolence era for FREAK... WTF. The video is kind of good just for how good she looks and the settings and everything, so imagine how good the actual video for Ultraviolence was. Like I'm guessing she was singing the lyrics in the original video so the Freak video is literally scraps of footage that weren't going to make up the bulk of the video... However, on a positive note, I will say that one thing that stands out about all of the songs are how good the bridges of every song are. She said in an interview before how she and Rick specifically loved to work on crafting bridges because they thought they were a dying thing in popular music. Also the High By The Beach video really was fun and unexpected and looking back it was the first introduction to a lighter side of herself that she shared with us, that later naturally led to the first line on her future album being "God damn manchild, you fucked me so good that I almost said I love you" and song titles like Venice Bitch. Top 5 songs for me are Terrence Loves You, God Knows I Tried, Swan Song, The Blackest Day and Honeymoon.
  9. yeah I just read this when researching him further. Thanks for saving me some time reading garbage it doesn't sound worth the time. Has anyone read anything good about america in the 60s / particularly the summer of love? I trust people heres recommendations more than the reviews on goodreads because we must have similar tastes already
  10. Thanks to whoever suggested Junky. Just finished it and really enjoyed it. Going to order some other burroughs books now. The influence this thread holds...
  11. I hadn't seen the link in the OP before. "It's 2011, and we should all be aware of exactly how fast technology is developing" is now my favourite Lana quote
  12. Has anyone reached out to the Norman Rockwell fans at the Lana Del Rey museum?
  13. What a total bombshell HOLY SHIT she is so sexy in this
  14. It has always been Get a little bit of bourbon in ya get a little bit suburban DAN GO CRAAAZZYYYYY to me cause she is telling dan Auerbach to go crazy on the guitar
  15. Not an instagram livestream literally being better than a professionally recorded performance This was excellent so it's okay
  16. Okay glad to determine from the videos it wasn't the fact that Lana was particularly lacklustre it's just the mixing is so poor. How on earth can you do a segment that's whole purpose is recording a live session and not properly soundcheck everything beforehand? So unprofessional there is no excuse.
  17. My prophecising Aw I haven't been keeping up with Live Lounge month I just heard about Taylor Swift starting it so assumed Lana would do as many songs as she did too bad that was just a one-off. I listened live at work it sounded really bad and so quiet hopefully the mixing in the videos will be better let me check them out.
  18. Can't believe we are getting the Live Lounge session with a new cover tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why do I feel like she covered break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored or some shit lol Predictions anyone? I think she will do Mariners Apartment Complex, The Greatest and Norman Fucking Rockwel
  19. I'm usually against ranking things and always trying to pick apart a body of work because even though you may love one song in particular it doesn't really mean that any other song is "less good". The Next Best American Record is the only song that I think is weak other than that the album is so solid to me. Venice Bitch is probably my favourite even though it isn't the best song if you know what I mean. The mood Venice bitch creates >>
  20. Unreleased band album ugh. Really didn't like this interviewer's writing style felt lame and cringey
