It's true what you say about DP, it's not authentic... The demo is a completely different song (You got the fire, I got the power, whatever) I feel like the studio said 'Hey, why don't we turn this into a dead lover/suicide/sad song?' so she slapped some death allusions to change the meaning and that's it, or she simply reused the chorus and made a completely different thing. Nevertheless it's a beautiful song...

The first song I heard was Born To Die, when the music video came out. I didn't like her at first I was like 'her lips are so huge, her voice is so deep' but I couldn't stop listening to it. I disliked most of BTD songs actually, I only liked Born to Die, Blue Jeans and SS. But that was because I hadn't heard any other song from her, aside from Video Games (which I didn't like at first). I hated DMD, OTTR, Carmen, and Lolita. God, I hated Lolita so much but I guess it grew on me and now I like every single BTD track. Also hated Yayo, but now I'm quite fond of it. Not a very big fan of her past albums though.
