  1. Mojo said legends only Lana & Joni queens of mind beauty
  2. I’m so excited for the interview! Talking about her love of Joni Mitchell and Joan Baez? Yes please! Also between the “it’s dangerous on the edges” and the turquoise jewellery, I’m getting such strong Joni Mitchell vibes from this too, which I’m obviously digging. Hope she brought that energy to the interview!
  3. I really really really want that cropped pink windbreaker and idk how to ask my husband because I already got three copies of Chemtrails and the mug and I know it’s so unnecessary but it’s so cute ugh
  4. Damn that pink windbreaker is cute as hel. I’d totally wear it. Probably won’t get it though. But I do like it.
  5. There’s a gatefold and the liner is sturdier and blue instead of the generic white paper one. And her name, the title, and the roses imagery is on both sides of the label instead of just on the A side. Overall, it just looks like more thought was put into it.
  6. Yes the deluxe was only pressed on black vinyl. The red and blue are both the standard, but the blue does have better packaging than the regular standard if that means anything.
  7. Do we know why the artists who performed with Lana on tour are rereleasing their songs with Lana? First Hallucinogenics now Eat For Free.... is it connected or random? Imagine Lana put together an album of her covering songs with the original artists as duets.... yeah unlikely but that’d be cool. I do think it’s strange though since this is the second time someone’s rereleasing their song with Lana featured and the other one was pretty recently too. Anyway, I’m excited no matter where this leads.
  8. I feel like I’m the only person who doesn’t feel like any of her music has aged. For the most part, her music seems suspended in time, always both classic and fresh. Occasionally she does use trendy sounds that will put a clear year on the release, but it never overwhelms the songs to the point of being unlistenable once the trend has passed. When I listen to any of her albums, I honestly don’t think of the year or online subcultures or whatever associated with it, just the music and the words, and how magical they make me feel. I know I’m probably in the minority here though.
  9. No matter what the next picture disc looks like, I can’t buy it. I just can’t let myself. It could literally be a picture of Lana dressed as an elf from lord of the rings while hugging Joni Mitchell with cats on both their shoulders and I’d still have to pass it up. I have to be strong. This picture disc was already more than I should’ve gotten.
  10. Violet was the only album I didn’t get a black vinyl copy of because I felt the picture disc and cream vinyl were enough, but it was bugging me for a long time, so on Sunday I finally ordered a black copy from her uk store and idk how but it arrived today.... that was so fast. I paid for the cheapest shipping too plus everything ships extra slow right now. I’m grateful but it’s so weird.
  11. Happy 9th birthday to the album that changed everything. Lana already cemented her place in history with this album. I still listen to this album weekly and it still feels as fresh as the day it was released. I never really connected with an artist so deeply before until I heard this album. Born to Die will always have a special place in my heart.
  12. I only bought the mug because I like the album cover so much.
  13. I get that a lot of her fanbase would’ve been fine with the cover if it was shot professionally, but that comment didn’t mention a problem with the quality of the picture, just the content. And it was the content Lana had to defend as well, not the quality.
  14. I just bought one of the Chemtrails mugs! I’m so excited! Last night I was gonna get one but then they were all gone. I’m so grateful I had another opportunity to snag one. I actually really like the album cover, so I’m looking forward to having it on a mug and looking at it while I drink my coffee. I’m normally not much of a merch person, but I do love buying too many coffee mugs.
  15. And people seriously wonder why Lana had to defend her album cover and point out that not all her friends in the picture are white......
  16. I finally got my shipping notification for the rose crewneck just now. Kinda surprised it got shipped on the weekend though, so I hope they actually shipped it.
  17. They’re all bootleg. But the fact that they keep popping up in abundance makes me believe stopping their circulation isn’t one of Lana’s main priorities. I’d say it’s worth getting anyway if you’re gonna listen to it and enjoy it, but if you only collect “official merch”, you’ll have to pass on it.
  18. This bootleg has been circulating since before those songs leaked, so that would be why they weren’t included. I’m surprised they didn’t make it onto Love&Sadness though since that bootleg seems to have started circulating more recently.
  19. Chemtrails Over the Country Club vs Love
  20. Even though Lana’s blonde in the video, her hairstyle kinda reminds me of Scarlett O’Hara
  21. Quiet Waiter Blue Forever, What Happened When I Left You, & Happy all in a row is such a beautifully gentle part of this album.
  22. In the scene where Lana and her friends are getting lunch (the part where the album cover’s from), it almost looks like they’re at Luke’s diner in Gilmore Girls.
  23. So there I am, continuously helping Lana’s UK sales, simply because her Canadian store sucks
  24. After Lana’s interview the other day, it’s clear this is still coming. It didn’t come out on time, but nothing of hers ever does.
