i haven't got a shipping confirmation but my order history has changed from what it used to be to "delivery pending" so maybe check the website!

Mine’s said “delivery pending” since I ordered it on August 1. I’ve been checking it like twice an hour everyday too.

I hate sounding like a broken record but seriously is there anyone who hasn’t gotten a shipping confirmation email yet for their vinyl from her store? It just feels like I’m the only one who’s album hasn’t shipped.

So if there’s literally anyone here who’s vinyl hasn’t shipped can you make yourself known? And maybe share when you ordered it and what country you’re in? I just wanna know if it’s happening to other people or if it’s just me.

This only applies to any orders from one of Lana’s shops, not other random stores.

Just watch the livestream she did on the studio with Jack working on the song and see what it could've been and then compare it to what we got

I much prefer what we got. The one in the livestream was like electro doo-wop feeling and was nice but the one we got is very dynamic and twinkly and Fleetwood Mac-ish which is totally my type of shit.

I actually love HTD don’t see why some people dislike it. We have enouth snail slow songs on the record with minimal production. HTD is a serve.

I love it. The instrumentals and her vocal delivery and the lyrics all come together in the most breathtaking way. It kind of reminds me of Stevie Nicks’ After the Glitter Fades. Tbh I can’t figure out what about the song is so unlikable to most people.

So it seems like everyone who’s albums hasn’t shipped yet finally did... except for me.

Did you guys order from her shop? Did you order right when it came out or some time (days, weeks) later? And what countries are you guys from?

What is "Ladies of the Canyon" that she mentioned in the interview? Is it the Joni Mitchel's album?

It is a Joni Mitchell song and album, but she was referring to the women who live in Laurel Canyon and I assume Lana is too and just using the Joni reference to say it.

Everything about HTD is so beautiful. The instrumentals, the vocal delivery, the lyrics. It all comes together in divine harmony. I don’t understand how most people don’t vibe with it, maybe we just like different kinds of music. It’s just so breathtaking. It’s very Springsteen.

My email said the vinyls I ordered from her store we’re going to be shipped on the 30th. I was hoping to have it on the 30th. I also ordered the UO one the first day it was available and when I check the site now it says those are on backorder so I’m not sure when I’ll get that one either.

Mine say this too but I’m hoping it’s wrong. Every other artist I’ve preordered from have said that too and most still somehow arrive the day of release. I have had two that came a few weeks later though so I’m hoping that isn’t the case with NFR. But I feel like just because I want this one the most, it’ll take the longest to arrive.

I definitely hear something, but don't think its "cinnamon girl". I don't know what tho.

It’s before that part. I gave a time stamp because I knew everyone would think I meant that part. That part still sounds like reversed vocals to me lol.

tbh I never even heard of Kanye til he interrupted Taylor Swift and the only song I’ve ever heard of his was that famous one and only because of the TS stuff. He’s not really that big around here. But now we all know him because he won’t shut up lol. But I’ll believe you guys that he was a musical visionary because usually the worst behaved ones are. Idk rap music very well though.

I never said Brian had anything to do with that song. The song is about a paradise in your mind so it’s the perfect metaphor for heaven when talking about Dennis’s death. It could also be referencing that that’s the Beach Boys most hated and ridiculed song and that Dennis’ death earlier that decade represented the real end of the Beach Boys. You’re just purposely not understanding so you have something to complain about.

She mentions Kokomo in the next line which has literally nothing to do with Brian Wilson

The Kokomo in the Beach Boys song wasn’t one of the real places, but an idealized paradise. Have you ever looked at the lyrics? She’s clearly using it as a metaphor for Dennis’s death. Like, use your brain, please.

Funny how @ evilentity can point out the Mike Love/Kanye hypocrisy but I can't.

Lana doesn’t even fucking mention Mike Love and he’s the only Beach Boy with those shitty opinions. The only Beach Boy she mentioned was Dennis, who she probably likes due to his manson lsd orgies. But if Mike Love is up for discussion, why don’t we talk about how Brian Wilson, the band’s leader, has always been way more progressive than any of his contemporaries and the exact opposite of his bigoted cousin?

This is a little off topic so I’m sorry ahead of time. All the talk about Lana overusing phrases/words/themes and whether it enhances or hinders her writing reminds me a lot of the reviews Stevie Nicks got for The Wild Heart. Some people hated her rehashing the typical themes and phrases and called her a “caricature of herself” whereas other people just lived for it and considered it like the sum of all her work until that point. Idk I like the kind of parallel feedback they’ve gotten.

Yes, of course. She already does dip into unfamiliar waters with her lyrics sometimes. She just also likes playing around with her comfortable themes. I like that at this point, she does both.

I think it’s just her style of writing. Most songwriters have words and phrases they constantly revisit because that’s just their style, it’s who they are.

Since Lana recently recorded LFA with Jack and before that she did SOTW with Jack too, I’m getting the vibe she’s gonna work with Jack for the next album too. They probably already started it.
