  1. Most of her fans have depression issues and see themselves in the lyrics. Music gets you through deep shit...
  2. Of course she was a very bright girl but also the romantic type, I imagine. Like I was. Plus those teen hormones... we get crazy! I used to fall for my Lit teachers but they never crossed the line. Older guys and very young girls' relationships are dangerous and fucked up IMHO. That said, I think Lolita the song is quite poetic, but I would rather think it is just fiction...
  3. I read it, yeah... just wanted to get it off my chest. Don't get me wrong, I'm no prude, I am very liberated and believe love has no age, it knows no limits... But something tells me this guy, who people speculate "dated" her was a predator.
  4. Whoever this professor of hers was, he must be a manipulative fucker... reading Lolita to a teen and making out with her... sounds like abuse to me. I'd punch his face. Even tho Lolita is my fave novel since I was 12, someone playing Humbert disgusts me.
  5. There is a lot of blue in Lynch's work but our favourite girl doesn't admit such an influence. I totally see a connection tho...
  6. This old VHS title-style saying Ultraviolence is so so cool!
  7. I think some of the best poems and song lyrics are simple and easy to understand. Lana can be sophisticated one time and just a regular girl singing about trivial things at another point. But she is usually philosophical and a natural born poet .
  8. Regarding this "Lana cheats on Barrie/Barrie cheats on Lana" discussion: open relationships DO work. You can be emotionally faithful to someone and still have sex flings with other people. Date me Lana, I am not jealous at all.
  9. It is exquisite! I'm in Sonic Heaven... Luv her jazzy ballads and those haunting vocals... Lana baby you're the best!!
  10. She is into some stuff I am, cool that!
  11. I wouldn't mind getting a black eye or bloody cuts if I got to hold Lana's hand or even make eye contact with her. One day my dream will come true.
  12. I was just joking, I think Gaga is talented, but Lana is the best in my book.
  13. In Yayo once I thought I heard: It only takes to hours to nirvana.
  14. In fact, it might be surprising to learn that Lana Del Rey tickets are now priced higher than those of more established female pop powerhouses including Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, ( ) and Miley Cyrus. Revenge is a dish best served cold...
  15. Yes, yes, some of the themes of A Clockwork Orange on which this title is probably based on.
  16. Similar vibe... maybe it means something, like a rupture from the 60s-inspired chanteuse image/style. I like rocking Lana more.
  17. Fucked My Way Up To The Top Guns and Roses JUST. DIED.
  18. Forgot Serial Killer and Black Beauty and Trash.
  19. I don't understand why Tired of Singing the Blues, Damn You, Hollywood's Dead, On Our Way, Angels Forever, Noir, Catch and Release, Children of the Bad Revolution, Queen of Disaster, Dangerous Girl amongst other fabulous songs were never released. I know Lana was upset with the leaking of her stuff but they are one of the reasons I love her so much... She can be a crooner one time, a rocker next without sounding over the top. She is the best!
  20. Cool, Lirazel! I often misinterpret stuff... I luv your signature gif BTW.
  21. Cola, Playing Dangerous and Go go Dancer are great.
