  1. This isn't a criticism, but I don't think she thought too deeply about this having an underlying message or anything, so I feel like analysing it is pointless. However, if I had to analyse, I'd say that the song's subject didn't leave LA with her - either for her tour last year, or permanently - and this illustrates how she "left" and had fun without him, with all her friends. I watched it at 4am though so I don't remember all of it.
  2. No, you have a juvenile and downright rude demeanour that is evident in most of your posts. So I said what I said, and the fact that you call anyone who calls you out on your vile behaviour a "warrior" speaks volumes. You're not worth my time, though, so off you fuck to my ignore list forevermore.
  3. Don't mind him; he's been that way for a long time now and (almost) everyone has noticed. As for Alex ... speechless. You do this shit all the time, though. Throwback to when you called me a bitch, Elle warned you, you did it again minutes later to defy her and got mod queued. Seriously grow up.
  4. She probably put it on her story without crediting to be petty because they said they were dissatisfied She can keep the mv but I didn't expect one at all so idc
  5. If you don't like it, listen closely 5 more times and then see
  6. Friday 4:25pm thoughts: 1. The cover is black and white which gives me hope for Wizard of Oz themes 2. The song is very emotive and for me, that's what's most impressive about it. You can't learn how to do that; it's inherent. 3. I think the opening line is possibly "small talk" from when she met the subject. "I come from a small town, how 'bout you?" 4. The repetition of "let me" makes me think that this ties into the toxic masculinity she talked about experiencing, which incidentally was in the same interview in which she mentioned LMLYLAW, iirc. The wording suggests that the subject perhaps withheld his affection and/or rejected hers. "Let me hold you like a baby" - in other words, she wants him to allow himself to be vulnerable. 5. "Doesn't mean songs and poems" perhaps the relationship was heavily impacted by her fame and career, so she's telling him she's more than just her work and if they move away she can have a life that isn't dominated by it. 6. I feel like the echoes and layering reflect the vastness of the distances she's singing about, that she feels both in the relationship and geographically. 7. In closing,
  7. Yes, and the last lines are quite telling, too: Let me be who I'm meant to be Doesn't mean songs and poems
  8. I hear "we could get high on St Tropez" (or maybe "something trippy") but St Tropez makes sense with "baby let me count the waves"
  9. Care to share what those are, in your opinion, to add to the discussion?
  10. As an aside, I thought her hair @ the signing was rather Grace Kelly The whole look including the outfit reminded me of this:
  11. I don't think this has been discussed before, but @recklessdaughter and I were chatting ages ago and discussing how there are some similarities between Stevie Nicks' Edge of Seventeen and West Coast. One of the more obvious examples is that the "ooh, ooh, ooh" and "ooh baby ooh" parts (she starts singing @ approx 30 seconds) sounds very much like "move baby, move baby" in my extremely expert opinion. A possible nod to goddess Stevie? Anyway, when Reckless has time, she might be along with her insights because she pointed out lots of other interesting stuff.
  12. I don't think she'll win in that field, but the nom is nice. Wonder if she'll bother acknowledging it today?
  13. Fox is owned by Rupert Murdoch, an evil Australian-born right-wing fuckface. He manipulates media in multiple countries to promote his right-wing agenda. Lily Allen, and other artists, have been critical of him in the past.
  14. Exactly, to her it's just another station, I'm sure. S**n probably used to watch it and she just thought, "oh, a news station ..."
  15. This is actually good I think she might be gonna do something and made this public for that reason She always posts nonsense before an announcement
  16. Everyone on Twitter, etc, is gonna say that's what it means Personally I think it's just her being a crackhead
  17. When the LEAST problematic part of the story is that she's watching something on her phone whilst driving, you know it's bad. (Although maybe that's allowed in the US and at least her car is stationary ...)
  18. She totally reads here, saw that we were discussing Abel and Florence instead of her on the COCC thread and said, "back to me: HERE'S MIKE PENCE"
  19. Yeah, and she made it public as an appetiser so that in four hours, she can make an announcement. And that announcement will be TRUMP/PENCE 2020
  20. How come it says 20h she only just put it up did she not? Maybe she's got all this shit ready to go and something is coming later?
  21. SCREAMING People are 100% gonna say that that = support This bitch HAS to be trolling
  22. Ben: "Lana, your fans are frustrated af because of the mesh mask and the missed release date. Might help if you gave them some info ... " Lana: "k"
  23. Oh, to be oblivious to the drama surrounding Bumble Boy
