Okay, thanks. I haven't paid for cable tv since 2009. The last awards show I watched was the 2008 MTV awards. I kind of disengaged after a while.

Some people on this site are rather young, speaking for myself, I didn't know about the EMA's until I was around 20. Do they stream the EMA's on MTV2 or MTV3? At all?

Maybe it's because attending these events just invite people to speculate on your "look" and Lana gets worked up over shit talking and knows that the media see her as an easy target. Throw in the location, and how much traveling and prepping is involved to be in Milan, ready to walk a red carpet.. maybe it's just too much for her. I wish she would have made a small thank you video, because we pine for her... but as a person who suffers from anxiety, I see logical reasons for not wanting to be there. It's no soft ice cream.. it's hardcore press, paps and (the brite lights) I feel like Lana is at a point in her career/life, where she has a mentality of "if it doesn't bring me happiness, it isn't worth the effort." It's conflicting to want to make the fans happy and also feel happy with yourself. Maybe Lana has come to a realization that we as fans are insatiable. And really we are. But I'm curious if anyone expects Lana to attend (winorlose) or even respond, should she win.. Personally I'd expect her to not attend, but I also believe she could win with Honeymoon/HBTB and still not really give them "more" power by making a huge deal about it (I really want an ICONIC photo of Lana's hand holding a Grammy) and a kind of nonchalant thank you to the Academy on her IG etc. I'd prefer Honeymoon to win over the HBTB nominations, just cuz I feel like HBTB winning would irk me a little since it's clearly supposed to be so "easy to like" and "approachable" versus Honeymoon's oddity. Here's to Oddity!!!

Dreamin Away Your Life Tour: (surreal theme for the set design and stage outfits) I'd DIE for some Dali inspo but it's too cliché maybe.. my tour setlist consists mostly of Honeymoon & UV tracks because I'd assume that the more current work would be highlighted. Burnt Norton Intro 1. Money Power Glory 2. Music to Watch Boys to 3. Art Deco 4. Religion 5. The Man I Love (I wanna Fly) 6. Dark Paradise (Dark Paradise is the only track from the BTD/Paradise era, not because it's the best but I think it fits well with these songs) 7. God Knows I Tried 8. West Coast 9. Freak 10. Honeymoon 11. Never Let Me Go 12. Shades of Cool 16. Salvatore 17. Terrence Loves You Quite a lot of songs to perform but I like this idea of dreamy/surreal Lana songs fitting into a theme: starting wanting MoneyPowerGlory, watching the boys, being Art Deco, finding love (religion), talking about the man she loves and how she can't be with him (The man I love has some great surreal imagery), being in a Dark Paradise when he's gone, telling God that she's trying, luring in said lover with thoughts of the West Coast, and coming to Cali (Freak), ultimately succeeding in luring her love (HM), pleading that he "never lets her go", but he's living in his Shades of Cool, He's really just a total Salvatore, and finally as we part at the end of the set, the last song speaks of "being who you are" and loving someone despite their faults. Terrence Loves You is Lana's fave and also a sweet message to send everyone off with. It's unnecessary but interesting to me.

Off topic, but something I've always wanted to discuss IS her chipped tooth, it's the outer edge on the left top front tooth. I've always found it endearing AF, I've noticed it since some 2007 photos of her, don't know if it's been that way since before then or what is the story behind it. But it's very easy to smooth a chip like that out or apply a veneer cap to round/even it out, and I just love how she hasn't done either. It adds character to her smile imo, does anyone know how it happened or an earlier date than 2007 showing it?

Sadness prevails.. I live in norcal so I packed and arranged the trip with my friend, he drives, I don't. We were going to drive all night and just figure it out when we arrived. I really lost it and I had a panic attack. It really blows, because the location was in the valley, not downtown LA and from the pics it seems so chill and intimate.. I freaked out. I blew this particular shot to ask Lana the same damn question I've been waiting to ask her since forever.. I would have been selfish and not have asked any of your questions anyway so I guess none of this matters.. I hope some of you other Californians managed to get there.. or anyone on LB that can speak about it ??
