Gosh look at her eyes sparkling like diamonds filled with so much sadness and pain....She is just so mesmerizing to watch, the way she pulls you into her world and tugs at your heartstrings....I swear there's no other singer in the world that has the ability to affect me on an emotional level the way Lana does so effortlessly. She is truly a blessed angel sent from heaven to serenade us with her mesmerizing, enchanting, magical, ethereal, dreamy sirenesque voice !!!

This song is even more special to me after the magical moment I experienced !!!

I really think that fruit punch is part of cult history symbolism, especially because there are several bodies strewn upon each other (out of frame) all we see is the hands and Lana.

Another thing I've been thinking of is Honeymoon could be like being accepted/initiated into the cult, since that term sister wives was used to describe the sexual/familial relationship between the females that followed cult leaders like Manson, Jim Jones, etc.

If you notice, Lana is the only one not in the sheer, long, white dress uniform that the other girls dance around (swim) in, she's in shorts and a shirt, looking like a "normal girl" perhaps just arriving, being taken in. Ergo "Taking The Kool-Aid", so to speak.

I was just going to ask, does anyone remember the "sister wives" post on Chuck's IG
    https://instagram.com/p/pF6jVgiZvj/

I always wondered about that comment..
I feel the cult leader inspiration on the Freak clips with Lana drinking some cult punch
and I love how happy she looks frolicking with her sister wives
I also get Britney "I'm a Slave 4 U" vibes with all those people's hands in the petting party scene

Zero shame in reviving this thread, tbh. It's a great one.

I would absolutely die for info on the dress she's wearing here, or anything similar.

It's a good rule of thumb that I'm super weak for her long-sleeve, short dresses in general though.

Cough. They say dream big, right? Please, make my day. I wanna play Lana dress-up someday.

This cult idea has me thinking about the chorus lyrics of Freak in a new light

    "If you wanna leave
    Come to California
Be a freak like me too"

And those lyrics in context of the cult imagery like the girls dancing made me think of how Charlie Manson picked up young girls who were against the mainstream/angry at 'the man' and promised to take them away to a place they could be free etc as a way of luring them into the cult mentality? If you know what I mean?

    Just a thought

Walking is an art, so is my body Papi is a workaholic, I’m his little party I’m his parlor trick, sip-sip of/sips above Bacardi I can make you dope, sick off of my naughtiness He says, “Who the best? You is.”   I’m glamorous, famous, notorious, dangerous But you’re crazy “I’m gonna leave you,” he said, “You’re not a real girl You’re like a cartoon All caught up in this fame game Yo, good luck, good luck, good luck May all the stars in the sky bow down to you We’re through.”   You gotta be smart and I’m a little smarty Papi is a gangster, I’m his little dolly

"president without Jackie O / And I'm singing happy birthday like Marilyn Monroe" It's a pretty clear reference.

Just off the top of my head, "Money Hunny" is older than "Money Honey". Lana's JFK obsession predates the writing of "Government Hooker", and "Marilyn Monroe"/"Puppy Love" which references JFK predates it's release.
