  1. I really want to see some official promo shoots ;( Like, ok if we have to wait for music but ... come on. I'd love to have her sporting the look from the Honeymoon snippets (without the feet :3). Not here for the fringe ...
  2. First of all, I really laughed har about the face thing xD And yeah, I also think so. "Promo" doesn't mean you have to sell out, having well selling singles and performing on TV/Radio is something which doesn't make you lose any artistic quality.
  3. I think the lyrics, even though they are more like something a Teen would sing, are definitly on par with all the "I'm a sad girl in love with bad boys" stuff everyone loves so much. It's just another style, like Jealous Girl, Gogo Dancer or She's Not Me, but it's not really worse.
  4. THe song didn't seem too interesting, even though I'd love to hear it. But I'm not suprised Barrie won't release it, it's the only option to keep the Lana fans interested in his stuff.
  5. I don't think this will be a lead single. More like a promo song.
  6. Even though it's a completely orchestral song, unlike Bel Air, I Can Fly, Big Eyes or Old Money I instantly love it. The song definitly has something ... "retro". Not the gangster Nancy Sinatra - way of retro but ... it could be a song by some diva from the beginning/middle of the last century. I ove the instrumental, there is a lot of ... suspense going on. Sounds like the soundtrack of this swamp monster movie, somehow ... sinister. And the part shortly before the first chorus ... I don't know, nothing super interesting happens but i love this part. I love the way she sings, it sounds a little bit more ... mature. It's not the "damsel in distress", breathing kind of vocals she often uses during UV/Paradise/the Big Eyes Soundtrack nor the "stage" registers she uses on BtD alot. The song is simple, but the vocal display is great. I especially love the last "dreaming away your life" part. It's a way of singing she rarely uses but i love it. And the similarity of the bridge and the Brooklyn Baby chorus is kind of funny.
  7. I cna't be excited for this, because gaga is in it. I can't imagine her appeareance to NOT just be a stupid "hey, here's the star!"-promo-part and I'm kind of sure she can not portray anyone but herself, so the role she has will be very much "Lady Gaga in a Horror Hotel"
  8. This. And apart from this ... Doing promo has nothing to do with "selling out" It's just like ... super boring without any music videos or Radio/TV performances or at least some nice photoshoots. I'd prefer to actually get interesting stuff from Lana instead of her becoming an "artistic legend" ... a boring artistic legend.
  9. 1. Question of taste, but they have nothing to do with the album so their presence on the HM page is pointless.2. If being a "diehard fan" means you are telling yourself you love someone you don't know, ok pls go. In the end we all are fans of her as an artist, just because some people go one step further and enter the mindless-teeny-groupie mode and make themselves believe they have feelings they can't actually have, that doesn't make them become better fans. Maybe more annoying ones, but that's it 3. Yeah, it's all we got and it's still not interesting at all. It's like talking about the cameramen of a movie instead of releasing a trailer.
  10. You see, there are two kinds of promo: Interesting one, which consists of video/music snippets, new songs, new photoshoots, album covers, tracklists, radio or TV interviews/ performances, music videos and live premieres And then there are pointless/awkward selfies, information about the staff when we haven't even got a glimpse on something they produced, information on non interesting staff members. Oh, and stuff that won't be released either way or at least not very soon. All of this background stuff becomes interesting after you saw anything from the final product. Since Lana's only really fond of the second kind of promo, it's understandable that all the fans who love her because of her music are disappointed so far. Only the delusional "I care for Lana as a person even though I don't know her"-, the "I can wait and pretend I enjoy every unnececary news on her"- and the "Lana doesn't need to do promo brcause she's so special"-fans enjoy this boring stuff. Lana should get her sh*t together and start to do something non-tryhard-nstagram-hipster.
  11. Lana looks so ... different o n the current selfies. Softer and the new hairstyle also makes her appear super-different compared to the BtD/UV looks. I wonder if it's just because these are personal pics or if she might drastically change her visuals for the "era"
  12. And then we'll meet the cameramen, the person who shot the cover of the single, the cleaning lady of the studio they were recording at and the donut-seller where they bought donuts after they had the video done.
  13. Oh, how exciting ... not. The director and stuff are infromation you want to know AFTER you saw the video. Just release something, at least give us a date, a cover or a tracklist. Everything else is boring.
  14. I'm with you when it comes to constructive critique (instead of either loving something extremely or bashing it and all the people who ma like it), but ... I think it's quite reasonable to not judge a song based on two super short snippets and a live acapella of the first verse and then compare it with another short snippet. ________ I think JFK, AFFA, Starry Eyed, Hollywood and the Black Beauty demo are overrated. Everyone calls them "Untouchable" and thirsts for the album which would have contained them, but even though they are nice, I think if you listen to all of them one after another, they are quite forgetable and dull. Plus, if she would have released an album like this after Paradise, this wouldn't be any kind of positive style-development.
  15. I even doubt we'll get something soon. I came to a point where I think she just teases for no obvious reason apart from being excited.
  16. I guess it will be a build-up song to some level ... these strings in the background have some kind of ... tension. She looks great tho, I wonder if it's just a "selfie shot" she did for the snippets or if the snippets are actually from a music video. Sad thing is, now that she teased something again, I could see her disappearing for another 2 weeks :/
  17. Since I could see HM onlyb eing a promosingle, it doesn't seem toooooo unlikely we could get it with Apple music.
  18. But bullsh*t since none of use really knows her and we are actually here because we like her music.
  19. She teased Body Electric before Rde by playing it live and it wasn't the lead single of Paradise. Honeymoon sounds NOTHING like a single, I guess it'll be a promosong as it's the title track though,
  20. I still refuse to believe "Don't be that way" is the beginning of the song, It sounds more like the second part of a verse than the beginning of it.
  21. These two are quite good The HQ recording form the first ES tour show is sadly not featuring the new instrumental
  22. Off To The Races (because of the wonderful live variation) Ultraviolence
