I do agree with the second part of your comment, about the fandom hoping for things that aren’t coming back (like the guitar in BTD and the sonic landscape of UV) but I don’t think it’s wrong to want Lana to change and evolve her musical style. Her first 5 albums are all extremely different from each other, and while COTCC-BB-Ocean Blvd all have a slightly different sound, all three of them sound a bit mix-tapey with a slight lean into folk. 
 
even Paradise, which is considered an extension of BTD, is very different sonically. I don’t wish for her to go back to her old sound, but at the same time I would like her to tackle a different genre, which is why Lasso always appealed to me, some fans didn’t want country, but at least it was a switch up. 

God we really were robbed when she scrapped RBFY. Also, how is it that her vocals were so much better when she sang RBFY/BE compared to the rest of the set?

So what? Just bc someone is pro-choice or a liberal/democrat doesn’t make them a good person. It’s like you guys constantly look at the semantics of what we’re saying and ignore the elephant in the room. i really need some good full production on this album and not on 1 or 2 songs like majority songs and i’d love for her to experiment some more and if she’s doing ballads at least make them exiting i LOVE piano ballads, acoustic guitar not so much just depends on the song but pleaseeee girl give us something exiting 

My concern is this album will make COCC sound like a full live band, lush orchestral, masterpiece of production
