  1. Probably some time in March. When was the last time you spoke in a completely different language?
  2. Update: OKAY I'M REALLY IN LOVE WITH THE ALBUM BYE
  3. I'm not a huge fan of The 1975 but I've always thought they had a unique aesthetic and i like some of their songs, so I gave the new album a listen. I've listened to the entire thing more than once, actually. That being said, I don't like every song, but I do like a handful of them, and that's a great thing! When i first heard "Love Me" (It was/is a single, right?) I didn't like it, but after a few listens, I loved it. I'm glad it's on the album. "She's American" is another stand-out song for me. I love the meaning behind it and the guitars are gorgeous. Love the effects on their voices as well. "If I Believe You" - wow! Such a new arrangement. I don't think it's like anything they've ever done? (I don't know too much about their catalogue so I could be wrong) On the first listen, I thought it was too weird, but after about three listens I thought, "Hey, now this is actually pretty cool!" it has a jazzy/soul/gospel feel to it. I love it. Love the lyrics. "Somebody Else" - this is the song i loved on the very first listen. "The Sound" - this song is okay, but I still can't get into it as much as I'd like to. Maybe I should give it some time? "Paris" reminds me a little bit of Brandon Flowers. It must be the guitars and the synths in the background, nothing wrong with that though. I think it has a pretty melody. I like it. Still growing on me, but I like it. "She Lays Down" - I LOVE THE PRODUCTION IN THIS. It's laid-back, raw, emotional, deep, and extremely personal. i'm a guitarist so I really fell in love with the whole singer-songwriter aspect of it. The lyrics are beautiful, songwriting is well-done in this, really heartbreaking though. I really love this.
  4. yay!!! so we DO share the same birthday! I heard a long while back that his birthday was on the 16th but i honestly couldn't believe it so i needed a clarification lmao. thanks!
  5. Sorry, does anyone know Rob's birthday? I seem to have forgotten.... Is it true he was born in June? I can't remember
  6. I couldn't really get into his earlier stuff, the only standout for me was "Happy Little Pill" but "Talk Me Down" has completely stolen my heart. The new EP isn't bad at all, too. I'm definitely looking forward to the album!
  7. I'm in looooooooooove with Talk Me Down. Fuck!

    Alessia Cara

Here is a GREAT song but the other songs off the EP remind me a little too much of Lorde.
  10. Album is available on Youtube now! https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsh4QmACcJ6ew0pd6cQi98M_82wbXX5sW
  11. Have any of you seen Bleachers play live? they're seriously amazing
  12. she used to be mine - sara bareilles <3
  13. This sounds like a suicide song. i can't stop interpreting it that way
  14. I grew up listening to country but turned away from the genre around 2013. I couldn't stand the bro-country/rap/pop garbage. That's why I listen to some country nowadays and Kacey is definitely on that list. I love her charisma and the way she crafts her music. if you guys like this album as much as you do, please, please listen to her debut album.
  15. American. It will always be American. Just something about that specific song just tugs at my heartstrings the most. I love it so much. i always update songs on my phone but I have never deleted American. It's been on there for a verrrrrrrry long time and will probably stay that way lmao
