I love the layered vocals and the fact that she's sticking to a psychedelic sound. Like I said, the harmonies remind me of the characteristic Mamas and Papas sound from the 60s. So beautiful.

I'm loving what I've heard so far but I need Lana to deliver a song that sets my tits on fire like Off to the Races and West Coast. I need a new classic.

praying this is what Honeymoon sounds like

Of course she shouldn't completely change her artistic aesthetic, but she should continue to evolve with this album as she had been doing so well. Her sound and imagery matured immensely from Lana Del Ray to Born to Die to Ultraviolence, and I hope that the trend will continue with her exploring new themes and a different sound with Honeymoon. Simply a watered down version of Born to Die would be horrible for her career longevity at this point as she will either be remembered as the alternative pop girl who had a couple of nice albums or she can continue to pave a legacy for herself with a very strong, original discography. 

Hope MTWBT is as amazing as West Coast I need an another timeless song from her

​I'm so so surprised that the Honeymoon song hasn't been premiered yet since its in the tour merch. Why did the touring band learn songs from it if they weren't going to play them? I figured HM would have been out in the first bit and some other song near the end (like WC and UV during last year's tour). As I'm going to the second to the last show of the tour, I was really hoping to hear something new. 

I really hope we see the same level of change and ingenuity in this song that West Coast had as a first single, but I'm afraid it might sound like her more recent work for Big Eyes. I remember how blown away I was by West Coast when it premiered because it sounded like nothing she had done before  .

I'm going to this show! My tickets aren't that great because this venue is so expensive and the seats right below the stage are the most pricy (no GA)    but I think just seeing her in Hollywood at such an iconic venue will make up for it.

Anyone got the setlist? Is the show just shorter or did she change it since she skipped Cola & Us Against The World?

The lyrics to Honeymoon suggest a foreboding Roy Orbison/David Lynch menace in the future.
And totally in line with the lyrics/stories of the rest of her songs.

Why would people think Honeymoon is suppose to mean happiness when she herself used the phrase film noir to represent what she was going for?
There never was a happy ending in any film noir classic that I can think of, was there?
 
(and her very stylized and I happen to like the artistry of the last video for Ultraviolence with the bride, is very telling too...

a road trip through life one where there may or may not be redemption (David Lynch always had redemption at the end of one of his films even if it was hard to see sometimes, but when one took the whole movie, there was always an OMG I get it moment, especially in Wild at heart and Mulholland Drive
(One of the greatest films of all time, as is the classic Sunset Blvd, Mulholland was like the other side of Sunset)

....Anyways. Can we talk about how Patty(lana's mom) is being a little tease about honeymoon on twitter? For UV rob teased west coast with subliminal tweets and now patty is teasing honeymoon...

I was in heaven when she released Ultraviolence in June. I hope Honeymoon comes out before summer is over, I don't like Q4 releases.
